Why wait when we can do it now?
Im not having or go or anything like that, it just seems common sense to me, especially after the fiasco of S3.
I agree. 👍

When I tested, VW was constent joint 3rd with Ford and Mazda. And slowest 0-60 and 0-100 as well.

FlyingFoxTest, test, test Matty, the Volvo needs it mate. I'm still struggling with understeer.
Honda has not as much torque as VW. That means the VW destroys
straights but Honda can just scoota round the corners.
The problem is that the VW has around the same torque as Volvo. However the Volvo doesnt have an amazing corner ablitly.
Your right about that Andy. Thats the problem with the Volvo right now but I'm hoping to sort it out for at least the second round.
I struggle to find time to test it..
It seemed very oversteery to me though..
TBH it has too much torque. Made a mistake on the last turn and lost 20mph, then at the end of the straight I was doing my Honda's top speed of 140mph!!![]()
FlyingFoxDon't worry Matty, I'll test on your belalf and pass the results on.
And yet VW drivers have been complaining of fishtailing under brakes... I kept taking people off losing it under brakes... Tom has cut it down slightly. I made a set up change yesterday that helps my braking but significantly increases understeer....
Im sure you can improve it - but my point was that the Volvo has more torque but the handling isnt as good. So you might improve its cornering but it will never be the best - or shouldnt - which means that what it loses in the corners, it makes up for the straights with the torque
The problem with the VW is it doesnt lose enough in the corners with the torque it has on the straights meaning it isnt balanced enough
FurinkazenI try 1 1 and oddly find 10 10 effective at some tracks....

Yeah your right. The Volvo will never be better than midfield this season, but I hope to improve it as the season goes on.
As for the Scirocco I have tested it and was suprised how quick it was. The '06 Golf would have been better but things are set in stone now so we'll just have to live with it.
Strawman Andy10/10 means there very responsive and will lock up earlier - 1/1 is the opposite
It's to do with how tight they are right?
Im not saying its going to be rubbish - Im just saying on the tracks which involve a lot of corning skills it wouldnt do as well. But for HSR and Le Sarthe it will be very strong due to the power
Strawman AndyPretty much yes. It means 10/10 you need less braking force (less braking) to slow down but a bad thing about that is it locks up quicker
1/1 means theres more braking force needed but means your less likely to lock up or not as quick as 10/10
Hey its not that fast down the straights of Le Sarthe as you think which was dissapointing considering.
neljackAttenion Please :-)

I reckon we are all a little concerned about each others cars. I'm concerned with Honda and Mazda, Honda and Mazda are concerned about VW..
So I may as well bring the Infiniti in. My god, a bullet off the line and it has not topped a single test this season, but always been around 3rd to 6th.... for consistency it's scary.
yea, but strawman was saying his Honda hits 14o at the end of the straight, and the VW could do that even when messing up the corners.....i wasnt even getting to 130 in the tow...
