OFFICIAL UPDATE:

Cars have been tested in spec by a test driver who took them for several laps of Cape South. These were the lap times, cars codenamed:

1:20.9 "Mercury" (S4 Spec)
1:21.5 "Venus"
1:22.2 "Uranus"
1:22.5 "Neptune"
1:22.5 "Pluto" (tune, potential S5 spec)
1:22.6 "Saturn"
1:22.9 "Mars (potential S5 spec)

However interesting was a car that appeared low down the timesheets, with the following times:

50kg - 1:23.041
100kg - 1:23.163

Something for you guys to mull over then...

And in other news BMW may very well return if tests at Tsukuba and Monza are satisfactory.

interesting times, will some of the slower cars at cape ring be faster at higher speed tracks or are we going to have 1 car dominating again?

Hoping to have none of that domination. testing across a wider spread of tracks will help.

what tracks do you have proposed to test the cars at? or is it a secret

Yeah, even more surprising is that they are nearly all S4 cars with minor spec tweaks. And that top time is a turbo-charged VW. Which will not be in (at least with no turbo) in S5.
 
i wouldn't mind seeing what the VW would do without the turbo

Yeah. People seem to think that because contact is allowed, you can just shunt someone off. Which is not on.
 
The Infiniti is a bit slow compared to the other TOCA S4 cars...

Well, here is a way you can have your cake and eat it...

Tyre wear on. Will mean the Infiniti will match the faster FF cars over a race distance.

And that means RWD's stroll to wins whilst FWD chew tyres. With old physics tyres struggled to last. New tyre model + longer races = FWD walkover.

i loved it, although i would like a bit more power. i think i was bout 5/6 torque down on the VW
 
the problem with the infiniti is that it's the only car which doesn't have a turbo
 
Also it was heavy it needed every bit of WR (Carbon bonnet *wink*) and a few more power upgrades, imo.

don't change it too much, i love that car to bits. i can confirm that if it is in the next TOCA i am running it. i don't care if it's slow, i love it <3.

ps: you could lend me a few engine upgrades for it, if you catch my drift ;)

Todays news: The axing of Le Mans from the calendar has been confirmed. Two or three other races look likely to lose their slots as well.
 
Having raced with some or most of you in the TOCA ASIA season I would love to joing this TOCA league too .

Is there room for me ? And also which day and time would you run these races ?

On Prologue, I always used to use the Infiniti for those short BHP Daytona races and I used to destroy competition in BMW 1series concepts. Truly great memories of that car.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Golf make an appearance.

If worst comes to worst, I quite liked the S3 specs of the Volvo and Ford. If you could bring up the Mazda, Honda and Infiniti to those levels and say 3 drivers a car, we're back in business.

I'm with kartman on this. I love the Infiniti to bits. Please try and rescue it.

Or simply reduce performance levels of the other cars to bring cars close together.
