I look forward to TOCA10 I'm still just hoping to get into a main event to have a go at the main event's :)

Also just another thought that I meant to mention the other day and forgot :lol: :dunce:

How about some 'championship' points for those who don't make it through the 'heat race' just so they have a few points in the bag to help when they do get through to the 'main event'?💡
 
Because its that's unfair. Say that driver also wins all three main races, they get more points then someone who was already good enough to not require qualifying.
 
No I meant for those who don't make it through (I.E. 5th down)

So that for instance:

In my position at the moment I missed out on the 1st main event (only just :lol:) and am hoping that I can make it through at Monza. As I haven't been in a main event I have 0 points so IF I do make it through to the main event I will need to try twice as hard to score as many points as I can to get into the top 12 for auto Quali. If I had a few points that will give a slight boost and mean I need to score a few less points.
 
Our points system already rewards top 15 finishers in main race.
 
I just think coming in 12th in each main race (once a race or 2 into season) would not necessarily be enough to get to top 12 for next race (as it wouldn't now only 3x top 10 or better would asuming 12th scores 0) but maybe with just a few (I came next best last time so for instance 4pts for me 3 for whoever was behind ETC) that would mean that 3x 12th place could work assuming the person in 12th scores 0 (unlikely)

Was just a thought :)

Wouldn't work for 9 now as we already going and would be unfair to change the points system now after everything but maybe a thought for 10 to make the championship a little more competitive in the mid field and give some of the slower people some extra points :)

Maybe you should release the initial specs so everyone can start testing, but then choose a couple regulars to test all the cars in private so that it is fair on everyone and the specs will be even. It also takes some of the weight off of you, furi :)

I think some initial private spec testing will be needed first and then release confirmed specs as early as you can for others to test and make a choice :)

Wouldn't work, people would be angling for more power when the cars are fine. As I said, best thing is to get a few select test drivers and get each one to test at a different track, that way you can bring out those results to say "look, your car may be slow at Monza but at twisty tracks like Cape Ring and GVE it destroys the opposition".

That is what I suggested originally, but some guys said it won't be fair on the others as the testers have more experience with the cars :)

I'd be willing, considering I've specced a touring car series myself. My FR skills are a bit ropey though.
