On another note, I should be back next week to try and help my team mate out. Hope the Q race isn't going to be too hard :scared:

Dax, I don't understand you. You are allowed to cut a chicane to gain a position (FIA GT1), you are allowed to shove and lean on people when they're trying to pass you on the outside (FIA GT1 again), you are allowed to rejoin into traffic after an error, but as soon as someone else steps just a little bit out of line, you go on a moaning spree which continues for the next 5 pages. At least you're making it obvious that Hamilton is your role model for online racing...

I do enjoy the 106th episode of "Entitled Dax" a lot though, thank you very much. *chews on popcorn*

Making it personal again really makes me a sad Penguin Panda.

At the end of the day, if I was in the wrong, you could always go to the stewards. GT1's at Monaco springs to mind, I even uploaded video footage so stewards could see.

And that chicane cut was a little cheeky, but considering I was +20 seconds ahead with 3 laps to go before being hit by a lagging back marker, and still went on to overtake you, taking a little bit of chicane with me...

Sure, two wrongs don't make a right and all that, but I doubt you would have done much different in my situation. Anyway, wrong thread.

You're saying "once that Dax has corrected". I'm saying his correction was slamming into Yeratel. That means that at the moment you say Yeratel should have lifted, the contact had already been made.

But I also think that in such situations, it's a tough call.

Watch the replay again from Dax's perspective. He has a half lift at the apex when he catches too much kerb and is then immediately back on the power and powering towards the next apex, fully in control of the car.

For the corner where contact was made the entry is pretty much as you exit the right hander just before. Which is when Yeratel should have realised he didn't have corner rights and lifted. That's around a second before the initial contact.

But I'm done here now. I've said my bit. :)

Blimey what will you be dissecting nextweek the contents of Carb's lunchbox:nervous: Agree to disagree you will never convince both sides who's right or wrong the fact there is a debate in the first place proves its a tricky call and I believe Dax no longer cares so walk away campers zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.:)

Lol but I barely left the track. I certainly gained no time from it.

Yera, however, left the track to pass me.

So, just like Grosjean, he should be awarded a drive through penalty.

Where was his drive through?

You didn't gain time, but you avoided losing time. Had you slowed down to make sure that 2 wheels were on the track, then Yeratel would have had enough speed to go around the outside of you, and then his car would have been infront or alongside yours

My closing comment: I don't think I would have done anything differently in both drivers' shoes. Not in TOCA. Not with light damage. Not when the premise of the series says it's ok to have a little contact. You can argue that heavy/light damage-settings shouldn't make a difference to your driving, but it does. We also have the benefit of hindsight and we're still not agreeing 100%, so ... such things just happen sometimes.

Wow !!
I raced a few Seasons here and when I was mentioning those incidents it was always racing incident.
=> Toca isn´t for weaklings
=> I adapted my racing

From my POV:
Both are guilty. Or call it a Racing incident.

Here in Toca I follow one Rule: Block the inside always.
When I don´t do it I get rammed, tapped (whatever you call it) directly from one and/or more opponents.
Even if I leave half a car-width to the inside white-line someone slammes his car in this nonexisting gap.

You got to live with this here period.
But if you watch a real BTCC race it isn´t different :D
=> Series-Title is what you get :D

I do care... :(

That was just a guise.

I do care really. I care so much... ;)

Well that's nice to hear shows your not all dimwit.:p (That was said with an arm round the shoulder)👍

:lol:

I feel comforted. ;)

Been testing the Infiniti. Infiniti to 315hp.

That sound like the most sensible option 👍

Should be ok but might be a bit touch and go if I make Monza off to a football match should be ok with it being a 3PM kick off.

I'd like someone that isn't in a BMW for a lap time comparison around Monza compared to the cars that are *quick* in a straight line.

I do not care if "the BMW has always been slow in a straight line", after its performance on the small cape straight i feel it deserves at least some sort of boost for Monza, as I'm sure perhaps a few others will.

Rant end /

I might be able to make Monza qualifying and try to get the USS Slowline into the show. ;) :dopey:

Its only the Infiniti with the ultra high speed. Besides, its still faster than its original spec (305).

B...b...b.....bu....oh never mind :lol:

Not sure what original specs have to do with it. A car could be way off the pace, but "it's still faster than its original spec." You could take 10kg off the Nissan and claim that. (4 cars are faster than they were to start with anyway)

Guess we have to wait another week for the Mazda to be slowed (needs more weight, its HP shouldn't be lowered), when noone can get near its low 1:58's.

The original spec is a reference, because people made their car choices based on them.

Since then, most cars have been upgraded (BMW, Nissan, Infiniti, Golf). You can hardly argue the Infinitis were not dominant on Cape Ring. Yera's pole lap was with a lot of draft, so sort of a fluke. The reason it didn't turn out that way in Race 1 was mainly because you had fights between each other (and because of the "Dax-incident"). E.g. in race 3 I had no chance in closing the gap to you, although I was running high 17/low 18's the whole race.

The only one to stick out with its top speed with the changed specs is the Infiniti. The Scirocco was cut for exactly that reason.

If you want absolute parity in the specs ... why don't FF's get a boost for the obvious disadvantages in the rain and at the start? I thought I was stationary in the first Cape Ring Race so fast had I lost one position to another Infiniti once the lights turned green.

Anyway, my experiences from the Monza-races in TOCA are, that laptimes don't really matter for the outcome of the races. You can easily compensate for more than a second there with the slipstream, and I've always finished down the order, a series which I fully expect to continue this week. :indiff:

Regarding Cape's R1, I also lost 1st place to GKM right at the start and was fortunate enough that the Infiniti standing behind him at the grid didn't start as good as him, otherwise I would've been forced to make T1 through the outside and probably lose more places as a result...

As for Monza, I only had one good race there, when I was able to secure a 2nd place finish when, Rolo gave Audi it's first ever TOCA win in a soaking wet track... (courtesy of a good wet tune for the Mazda, which I still have, thanks to a few tips from Paulmac)

Am I the only one who thinks Yera and Snow aren't consistent front runners because of the car, but rather because of their setup?

Going to do a quick test, Mazda vs Infininininininininini at Monza. Place your bets now :D

No idea were you've got the you can make up a second in the draft thing, I was in the draft behind the Infiniti and Mazda at the small cape straight and lost nearly a second, so Monza in the BMW without a spec changed isn't going to be fun....

Golf has crappy low end power. Hence why it it was good in Snows test at Monza, but sucked at Cape on the short straights. Wondered why its strongest track is arguably Spa? Long straights and gradual high speed sections.
