it is because people who want skidmarks and reverse lights gt5 gets delayed again and again (although they actually would be cool having them in the game)
if reverse lights and skidmarks are not in GT5 due to them "not being important to the racing" then why are the cars being painstakingly modelled? Why go for 1080P as that doesnt help the racing?
Kaz only cares about the bits he wants to get right (driving physics and car modelling) and doesnt give a hoot about the rest of the facts of driving, which games of 10 years ago included (reverse lights, skidmarks)
GT5 will be competing with Forza 4 by the looks of things...Maybe when Forza 4 is shown at gamescom this summer GT5 will be delayed while they start again from the ground up to compete with FM4? (joking...but maybe....)
Looks like ill be buying shift and F1 2010 to keep me going, and if i come by some money i may get a 360 and forza 3
Tokyo Auto Salon: one of the biggest GT5 displays ever built!!!!!!!!! But...... One of the smallest GT5 news? Come on!
I'm sorry for being so harsh dude, but seriously, if you try to compare SHIfT with GT you are terribly wrong. And if you seriously consider "skidmarks" (GET OVER IT!!! Kaz said they aren't there, and if they were there I would be too concentrated racing on cockpit view to notice them)
Why does everyone omit the "He says laughing" from the answer he gave?
It's all about realism, frankly PD is falling behind the pack when it comes to features and basic things that real cars do.
wasn't that regarding a track editor?
Some of our readers would like to know about in-game weather changes and skidmarks. Will they be included?
I'm hoping our players won't be caught up with minor details. If they pick at every little thing, nobody will be satisfied. It's the overall evolution that will impress. Skidmarks should be of no concern. (He says with a laugh).
We've heard rumors of a track editor. Any comment?
At this point, it's just a rumor. So you'll have to see. (It must be noted, he said so with a smile, leading us to believe that some sort of track editor is in the works for the new game.)
What does nationality have to do with something tires naturally do when a certain threshold is exceeded?![]()
He talked about the track editor with a smile.
Gran Turismo 5 is far to big for Sony to release it during the dry, summer months.
I guarantee that it will be a Q4 holiday release.
For the same reason KY said americans would rather have damage than more cars and europeans want cars over damage
unlike NASCAR which is also close racing they race round tracks where you have to turn RIGHT as well as left.

Your argument is invalid. (disregard the crash)
^ Kaz seems to have a soft spot for Americans-NASCAR, IRL and damge. GT needs more Euro racing-BTCC is the most exciting and action packed motorsport there is and unlike NASCAR which is also close racing they race round tracks where you have to turn RIGHT as well as left, also who could want ovals more than Silverstone, Donington, Brands Hatch, Thrxton, Croft, Snetterton, Knockhill etc.
Yeah, like he said.
More importantly, this is a good chance for me, and you, to understand a little something about our culture.
Some culture.....cars going around an oval 200 times.
Look up, then back, there went the converstaion.
