I recommend Flash, as it is easy to use gradients to shade, and the line tool is incredibly easy to use, but I seam to be the only one who thinks this.

Your work is highly detailed Mister E, too detailed to the fact of random colour, I'm just asking you this, how often do you use the trace bitmap function?

Ok, here's is my FIRST EVER vector drawing. Done completely in Flash MX. Hope you guys like it, I'm gonna move onto something a little more advanced now.

Here's my newest. It was hard but didn't take that long, surprisingly. It's a 240SX FastBack drifting.

are you planning to color any of them?

I want to. I just don't know how to since they are antialias lines and stuff. If I use a paint bucket, it has lines. I'm not sure. maybe Flash MX will help.

I spent the better part of tonight working on this. It's my second time making a vector, and my first doing a whole car. Not gonna color it yet. Maybe later, but this is good for now.

how is it possible to compare eachother works of tracing a car?

i mean, they are all effortless, and utter rubbish.

Stop spamming off your stupid traced line art, atleast colour them.

Ok, Yes I have to say I agree with Venom_supra. These are just traced cars, I myself have done some too but to learn a program. It isn't really that hard, it just takes time as well as asking how much detail you want to put into it. The good thing is you are learning the program as your "tracing" these cars. So, now that you have learned the program well, try doing one from scratch. Even just one without color then we will be getting somewhere. Everyone, can keep coming up with nice looking cars but in order to keep getting better you have to break out of doing things you are comfortable with so that you keep moving forward not stand still or go backwards.

I really don't think calling people's work utter rubbish is very productive. However, line drawings aren't exactly vectors, and this IS the vectored cars thread, so...

Listen to me ********, that was my first car. It took me a long time and alot of effort to get the detail I did. After spending that much time on it, it was late, and I didn't have the patience to color it. I don't even think you really know what a vector is. A vector isn't just a cartoony car picture.
There's two types of images. A raster and a vector. Raster is used for more lifelike images, and vector is more for animated objects. A vector image doesn't loose quality as you zoom in like a raster would. My S14 IS a vector. I just exported it as a .gif for you all to see. Perhaps before you criticize people you should learn wtf it is you're talking about.

Thanks, finally someone says nice things,

Hey, I not saying it's bad to do vectoring it's just that there's more original stuff to do than to vector cars.

Maybe you should take a look at my posts, you might realise that i do know what it means, and i have done them before. So maybe before you critisize people, you should learn wtf it is your talking about.
If you say, a vector is an image, that doesnt loose its quaility no matter how close you zoom, that DOES mean that a ****ing vector isnt just a traced picture okay, so stop tracing and get some real artistic skills idiots.

Can't you guys just shut up?

If he chooses to trace pictures and do his vector work, let him do it. Why must you care and go around asking people to get some 'real artistic skills'?!

Let people trace/vector whatever. It's none of your business. If you just come here to flame on everyone saying 'all you do is trace' bla bla just shut up. It gets annoying.I don't care if you have done a vector before and you have good skills or anything. Everybody has a level to start with, not all can use these programs like a pro and create masterpieces. I traced pictures before, I started out slowly, and now I'm working on to do better art.

Just let them do whatever they want, please. All I'm asking for is no fights, just let them do what they want.

Please.

EDIT : Sorry if I had offend anyone.
