It's not that I don't appreciate peoples work it's just that it's like I've been saying. Think of it this way... Vectoring cars (at least for what I've seen) is like playing the arcade mode in Easy. Now try playing the arcade mode in medium or hard, Do a Vector from scratch.

thats really nice battle stage. What size pictures are you working with, and where are you getting them?
 
My thought on vectors is this:

They are not art. I am by no means an artist.

They do look cool however, and I think they are a semi-productive waste of time, so I do them.

Then I share them with you guys so you can appreciate the time I spent on it, not how artistically talented I am.

I reckon that vector art is art.... hold on.... Of course it's art dammit. And creating vectors from scratch can only lead to bad things. I'd like to see what the finished result resembles FREAK... kinda suitable...
 
Hey, I'm not saying it's gonna be easy at first... duh... I've done both "vectors" and CAD as trials, I suck at both still. You never know what you'll get, but the point is that your reward will be your very own "vector" creation that you can proudly say that you made yourself instead of saying here's an existing car that I made myself. Understand people? Getting tired of persuading you guys... :odd: :rolleyes: :banghead:

nope... at least not that i know of. lol, i saw them on a BMW chopped, and drew em..
 
ok- almost all my vectors on one pic.. incl the finished viper, and Aston Martin DB7 i did today.. (i like the look of them un-colored if you wil notice)

oh.. btw- it was a screenshot off flash, so thats y the littl + in the middle.
 
so then your not doing any thing except pressing a button to tell the program to turn it into a vector?? :odd:

there is no "BUTTON" in flash to do that, that little crosshair just tells me where the middle of the 'stage' is... thats all... if ther IS, i dunno where it is..
 
for the most part.. some of them i trace tho, like the viper.
