It isn't the least bit constructive to call people's works crap. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Hear hear, and on that note i wanna say that the S15 rocks. Good to see lots of interest still, many said this would die young... ;)

how do i keep all my lines one layer... evertime i add a line a new layer appears and i have over 100 layers just outlining the car...

Don't use the line tool, that's what it sounds like you're doing. Use the pen tool. Read my tutorial if you want to see how to use it. It's quite basic and is the bestest way to create the nice smooth lines.

I'm not really familiar with PS7, but there is probably a way to merge all your layers. Just outline it and then merge it all to one layer before coloring it.

i finaly got the hang of the pen tool and its real easy... i have my car all outlined now and i can't figure out how to color it...

Create a blank layer below the line layer. Use the lasso to select areas to colour and then use either the bucket or the paint brush to colour it in.

Meh. I was bored, had nothing to do at home. School holidays. 2 months. Bored. That's all everyone needs to know. :p

Done using Adobe Illustrator 10, took about 2 days.

That is nice! Did you do it freehand? I'm starting to do custom vectored cars, not tat good yet though.

Nah, not up to that level yet. My freehand vector work is still in progress, it's gonna take a looooooooonnnnngggggggg time before I finally get it looking good.

yeah, me too. I'm still just figuring out this whole coloring crap.

Did you check out Donbenni's tutorial? He did mention the colouring process pretty good in there. 👍

I used PS7 for my first 2 vectors, then moved to Adobe Illustrator (took me sometime to learn this one! :grumpy: )

Just so Venom_Supra doesn't get mad at me, I'm only posting this in this one. This is only the beginning of a completely custom freehand car

Your work is highly detailed Mister E, too detailed to the fact of random colour, I'm just asking you this, how often do you use the trace bitmap function?

Sorry, I haven't checked out this thread in a while... Anyway, I take the colors right from the car. Eyedropper tool. I can make gradients from the colors I get.

Here's a vector I'm working on. R34 GT-R vs. Supra. I still gotta finish the road and the wheels. The pic is only about 50-75% of the actual size.

Suz, that viper is cool, a few too many lines, but still is gonna look amazing when finished :)
