More evidence IMO that this will be the basis for the Mk6 Supra...a street version of the Lexus has been spotted, rumored to be called the LFR.That's a nice Mk6 Supra you've got there.
But you know about it on the GT3. This car will be competing directly against cars like that.I don't know about that wing tbh...

Of note here is the exceptionally long hood to allow the front engine to be as mid-mounted as possible, the extremely low and flat hood which implies a dry-sump oil system since the only other engines that could fit under that would be OHV like a Viper or Corvette, the tremendous brakes which appear to be carbon fiber mounted behind 5-lug wheels, the rear wing which appears to have three different adjustment slots mounted at its maximum AOA, rear-mounted radiators a la the LFA, what appears to be a rear transaxle, and the oddly GTE-style flat and seemingly under-developed rear diffuser plate. I have to assume that plate is merely for mockup purposes and they're in the process of finalizing a rear diffuser design. If all that is the case, what we basically have here is a Viper-style layout which is excellent for weight balance and handling. I bet Dodge really wishes they had the balls right about now.
To avoid outrageous pricing, Lexus would probably share this platform with Toyota and that would mean the next Supra could move very upmarket and be an absolute monster. That does make sense considering Toyota is out of engines to plop in the GR86 (besides the 3-cyl turbo) and is planning to introduce an "SFR" to effectively replace the current GR86.
My marketing concept would be this: SFR to supplant the current 86 and/or perform more closely to the Miata, GR86 moves upmarket to supplant the current Supra 4-cyl and add a sedan version to compete with the Integra, move the Supra upmarket to premium performance/current GT-R territory but keep an I-6 for identity, and have this Lexus with a bruiser of an engine to compete at in an even higher and more luxurious market against AMG GTs and the like.

It just look a bit out of place somehow to me. Like if Mercedes put a Black Series wing on a regular AMG GT.But you know about it on the GT3. This car will be competing directly against cars like that.
Totally agree! Taillights need some work but otherwise I find it really pretty.Lexus Sport Concept at Pebble Beach

Overall I really like it. The shapes all flow quite nicely. It is quite long. My only issue with it are the taillights. They're too angular compared to the rest of the car. Also there's interesting vents at the top of the rear window. I'm not sure what they're for. One small detail that I haven't seen in pictures are the flying buttresses that go from the side windows to the back. I'll post some pictures I took with my actual camera at some point
Hopefully this is more successful than the LF-A....Lexus Sport Concept at Pebble Beach

Extremely pretty if the production version stays true to the design.Lexus Sport Concept at Pebble Beach

Nope. They were running the prototypes at Goodwood Festival Of Speed and it had a glorious engine note. I think it was a V8. The GT3 version was loud AF.So do we think this Sport Concept is an EV? It looks VERY different from the Toyota cars that have been testing, including the GT3 car, which is certainly not based on this Sport Concept due to homologation rules, which means either Lexus has two cars on the way or the GT3 is switching over to Toyota.

This one probably is. The ones running at Goodwood weren't.So do we think this Sport Concept is an EV? Especially not a turbo V8 although it can be done. The Jesko's TT flat-plane engine sounds pretty incredible. But we know from video that the GT3 has a traditional cross-plane engine. Not sure about other countries but in the US this engine will surely be modified in incredible ways and within weeks of sale not a single one will have a stock exhaust anymore. It looks pretty nice, although the flat grey the concept is painted in is a bit played out now IMO.
Trouble is, the LFA had an 'exotic' V10 and sounded amazing. That was its USP. I'm not sure a V8 hits the spot in quite the same way.
