The more that I think about it, there has to be more tracks and events that we haven't seen yet. Think about it, in GT4, there were way more tracks and events.

Things we haven't seen yet that was in GT4:

Endurance races
Manufacturer races
American Events
European Events
Japanese Events
While we have some Special Events in GT5, I belive we had more of the Missions in GT4.

My point in all of this is I can't see how they can offer so many more races and events in GT4, not to mention tracks, than GT5. There just has to be alot that we cant see just yet, which would unlock more events and tracks.

And if I'm wrong, then thats just a bunch of poo.

1st update (free, all the updates for this better be free) should include:

Red Rock Valley, Apricot Hill, Midfield & Infineon Raceway...

P.S. Can someone please start a remarks thread for the official car list? I have a few suggestions for the 1st update for the car list as well...

DLC in my opinion...

100% cost for Standard game buyers
66% cost for Collectors
33% cost for Signature

U.S. where no Signature is available 100% then 50%.

My view won't be shared by all, but the way I see it, you get payback ongoing by PD for 'investing' in GT5.

I would not be fair to change the rules now but ok if PD had said this before everyone had placed their orders.

Yea, I was kind of curious where those were. Or if they had been dropped. Because I definitely did not see any events listed in the Dealership.

Well, I do know that PD has a habit of keeping surprises. So, I'm kind of interested. I mean, they do have a pretty good track record of making games. :dopey:

Why would they cost anyone anything? GT5P updates were free...

Sorry if it has been posted already:

I'm very impressed with the outcome of that generator. Hopefully updates will be made to it to allow further fine tuning. I'd like to see Playstation Move compatibility for course editing :)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I just thought that maybe the reason for the exclusion of Test Course (if it really has been and it appears so) then maybe it can be created using the Course Maker or whatever it's called. Perhaps.

Or the lists we've seen are wrong and it's in.

That's a good point. Since we know the game can generate almost any kind of track it wants, straights, corners etc... it probably just builds them on the fly. Good thinking.

Really, is that how the track creator will work? That's a bit disappointing as well. I was looking forward to designed a custom track with a little more freedom than what I saw there...

Not sure what gave you that impression. Yeah, the name is a bit misleading, but no-one has ever claimed you can create a circuit to that level of detail.

I'm getting a bit fed up with all the disappointment around here. I just feel people have had totally unrealistic expectations, no doubt increased by the long development cycle.

The "Eifel (Circuit) track that guy made looked pretty fun...Certainly looks a lot promising than Cape Ring IMO.

And the fact that KY kept delaying to "perfect" the game...

My issue with the game is that it provides less content than the previous game, and for me to invest also includes buying the console, so this game is a huge investment for me. PD have succeeded in probably making the best looking driving game with the graphics, but i doubt the physics would be superior to something like Iracing, and the ammount of tracks available lower than in GT4, which already missed a lot of tracks key to the racing world. Tracks that other games bring.

Is this game worth £300? no its not, is it worth it for someone who already owned a PS3, probably yes.

May I remeind you that you can also play other games on å PS3, so if you buy one you can buy other games which will give you a lot of fun too, just a reminder

I`ve never seen this vid, but it looks very promising this editor. Can someone tell me how it works exactly, what influence do we as creators have, thanx.

I would argue that if so many people share the same expectation that it's not that unrealistic of one... besides, who was it that said "expect perfection"?

Exactly what i think about everyone else purchasing a PS3 just for Gran Turismo 5 - do you not play any other games at all?

Not interested in console games, all the games i play are on pc which is generally better for graphics and controls, there arent really any PS3 games that interest me, I only bought GT4/GT3 for my PS2 also.

I'm a PC gamer too, but it doesn't mean i don't enjoy LittleBigPlanet, WipEout HD, Killzone 2, God of War III, Resistance 1 and 2, Motorstorm 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2 etc etc... Do you really not find any of those interesting? :scared:

Not at all, the type of games i have grown to enjoy (i used to own a lot of consoles when i was young) are all on the pc, and i dont have enough time to play those as much as id like, also i am big into sim racing games more than anything and the best of them are on the pc, with exception of the Gran Turismo series.

Sure i can play F1 2010 on PS3, but i already have it for the PC which is widely considered the best platform, and the same usually is said for other games available to multiplatform. I am sure im not the only one to share this view.

KNOCK IT OFF THA BOTH OF YAZZ!!! lol

IMO PC is better for some games while console is better for others.

PC will always dominate the FPS, RTS, emulator and RPG markets while consoles are better for sports, side scrolling, fighting, racing and other action games where you roam on a map (like MGS).

Consoles are also more fun at parties and group gatherings because you can sit back on the couch and 1 PS3 can allow 7 people to play (depending on the game). Consoles are also more reliable since you just pop in the game and away it goes.

Back to the topic at hand...... THIS TRACK LIST IS DISAPPOINT!!!

Back on topic, There are a few videos of Special Stage r7 one of a mugen civic and the other of a citroen gt in the rain. The track in the rain is IMMENSE, yet the dry track is much shorter?

The official track list mentions 2 versions of the track, i'm hoping that there is a dry version of that HUGE track with the citroen GT on youtube! I swear it's straight out of Tokyo Xtreme racer.

My reaction:

:-\

It's going to be amazing, but it's going to get boring pretty quickly. I feel like the Big Event we've been waiting for all these years has been deferred again.

I have been saying this every since the video leaks. Way before the (so-called) official track list came out. I am fine with the car list but the track list as it stands bothers me a whole lot. Unlocking and DLC will silence all the bad hype. Add to that the track editor and this game is golden. Easy game of the year IMO if all elements are in place.

I don't think it's going to get boring! I've had so much fun in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue considering how limited it is. There always was and still is an interesting car+track combination that I want to try out. Example, today I've spent about two hours perfecting my lap time on Fuji GT with a Nissan Fairlady Z. So much enjoyment from that can only make GT5 feel really huge (for me at least).

I would have liked at least four more tracks (Midfield, Apricot Hill, Motegi and Infineon) but I know I will have plenty of work ahead just to keep up with what GT5 has to offer.

I'm also quite certain that PD have kept at least a couple of suprise tracks for us to unlock. However, I'm done hoping we'll be able to compare the track count to GT4.

I think the reason for PD not allowing that is to make sure the game will be playable with the GT physics engine. Actually I think its better to have the game generate the track rather than us. If something goes wrong, PD would take a big hit for the down fall and get real negative reviews.
