Tracks you wanna see in GT4

Do you race?
Don't they have the Jumping Competition there? People like Petter Solberg have been known to go about 120m off the jump, I kid you not. You're right, Delta, Ouninpohja would be awesome, but sadly with the inclusion of the 22km Nurburgring, I doubt there will be room for it.

In a similar vein, what about Ocana-Radicale? It's currently the hardest inactive rally stage around, some 80km wrapped around the cliffs of Corsica where there is frequntly nothing between the drivers and the Med other than a 300-400ft drop ...

Yes we have a competition organized by finnish motorsport maganize VM (Vauhdin Maailma) but I would say that record is ~50 m (Markko Märtin) 150 km/h 2003. Petter Sohlberg broke FIA's limit to average speed in stage (120km/h) in Ouninpohja this year. And now organizers thinks how they could slow speeds in that stage. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

For those who don't know what is Ouninpohja: Is't gravel stage in Jyväskylä, Finland. Drivers use 5th and 6th gear almost al the time in stage. Road is full of jumps and crests. Cars are in air about half time they use on stage!!!

Targa Florio,Mille Miglia,La Carrera Panamerica,Spa,Nordschleife,Sudschleife,Betonschleife,Zandvoort,Daytona,Texas,Sebring, too much to name...

some nasty accidents there, mostly drivers who crashed out of the track, and flied on the roads there.

Kinda hurts

There aren't many real-life tracks i would like to see in GT4, but it would be great to see a return of previous GT tracks like Red Rock Valley, Autumn Ring. Grindlewald and High Speed Ring.

I wanna the Jarama's Circuit or an urban stage in MADRID!!!! Running in front of Bernabeu!!! And the main straight will be the Castellana!!!! oh, yeah...

That AVUS track reminds me of Brooklands a bit with the steeply banked edges... you could imagine them inculding a really old track like that to go with some of the cars from the 20's and 30's...

I can think of some old and still running tracks and 1 dead track:

Long gone, but not forgotten:

Riverside, CA, US - say 1965-69 - when I saw quite a few sports car races there

Still running, but have changed over the years:

Watkins Glen, NY, US - say 1968-1975 - F1 course/sports cars
Le Mans, FR - say 1975 - I saw Derrek Bell and Jacky Ickx win in a Mirage GR8 (Ford)
Lime Rock, CT, US - great little track - I've seen lots of races here

It's always better topless :sly:

Bathurst...because Polyphony Digital make accurate tracks and nobody has come close to creating an accurate version of this track for any game.

Tracks I want to see:

Bathurst - Simple, best track in Australia.
Le mans - Please let it be there.
Spa Francorchamps - We all know why.
Red Rock Valley - Great track from GT2.
Original A1 ring - Can't remember the spelling, great track though.
Nardo Ring - Replace GT3 test track. Pretty much the same, but at least it's real and better scenery for long boring races. Plus 12.7 Km lap - even longer than test course.
Silverstone - One of the best current F1 tracks.
Phillip Island - Imagine a LMP 900 car around there.
Road America - For my money the best track in the US.

Thats all for now, I'll probably think of some more later.

The best street circuits in the world use whatever is available to make the circuit terrific. Adelaide isn't my favourite, there's too many low-speed sections in there and not enough fast parts to compliment them. You want the perfect mix: tricky technical sections and fast sweepers; places where powerful cars can stretch their legs followed by tight sections where smaller cars can display their agility; etc.

this my list

bathurst
A1 ring
le mans
nardo speed bowl
euro speedway (the old one with that really steep turn)
nurburgring
old hockenheimring
spa-francorchamps
suzuka
road america
the brickyard
califonia speedway
road atlanta
interlagos
monza

To reply to the post mentioned earlier about having short tracks to maximise setup focus. Well every single track requires good setup, i mean that in every sense of the word. The most well rounded one will be the Nring one, as it has to take into accout the different surfaces, rapid elevation changes and banked turns. Personally I mirror your concern with the younger crowd, but some of those pp like me (im 20), are some pretty experienced racers. Online it would be funny to race against a player who has his Mclaren F1 setup for top speed on the huge straight at the Ring. Look at the bright side, ppl will be challenged to learn in order to go faster and catch up to others. Then maybe ALL the NFS:U RICERS will realise the truth, and let EA make sensible racing games. btw i cant express in words how dissappointed i am about nfs, the last title that was good is porsche unleashed, which is still alive today believe it or not online and everything.

The ring is already in, so for me that will be enoug. But if i wanted more, spa the long version, hockenheim 1994, valencia, mugello. meh i could go on, but the green hell is in so that makes me happy beyond belief.

everytime i think about this game i get all giddy. gotta stop obsessing. I REALLY hope the E30 M3 EVO III is in the game, plz god.

cheers

For what it's worth...

Bathurst
A1 ring
Le mans (full track)
Nurburgring
Hockenheim (short and long)
Suzuka
Road atlanta
Monza
Donington

^ Without damage I don't think we will see anything like a figure 8 track where it is inevitable that you will crash into the other cars.

Road Atlanta
the 24hr. Daytona Track
Le Mans
Red Rock Valley (props to whoever said this before)
Autumn Ring (GT1)
Sebring

There are a few others, I just can't come up with the names right now

For me, Bathurst provides a number of challenges, high speed, low speed elevation changes to name a few.

I think Phillip Island would be excellent if done by PD

And finally I would love a PD version of the long Hockenheim circuit without the dinky chicanes as a power circuit.

They should have all the versions of Hockenheim if that's the case: the old 6km format, the new track (which I rather like) and the fiddly little short track.

As for Australian tracks, anything but Ipswich!

Is Philip island in Australia?
