Trophies for Gran Turismo 5?

There should be 4 trophies
Bronze: 25% game completion
Silver: 50% game completion
Gold: 75% game completion
Platinum: 100% game completion
 
I wonder if there will be a special car or livery that comes with the platinum trophy
 
i'm glad some of you arent developers. some of the trophies in question are ridiculous. probably worse than Wipeout HD levels.

BUY ALL CARS IN THE GAME? REALLY?

haha, that will take at least a month of continuous playing to earn that much money to buy all the cars if we were to get a collection of 800 cars :lol:
 
I doubt that could happen if you play 2 months with no sleep !

Seriously GT4 took me over a year to complete 100%. I don't expect GT5 to be different. I would be nice to have trophies to feel a sense of progression.

Been there, done that: Race every single car in the game on every single track.

Silver
Dream Garage: Own every car in the game.
Mr Le Mans: Win the 24hrs of Le Mans in a-spec mode.
King of The Green Hell: Win the 24hrs of Nurburgring.
Some say...: Beat all of the Stig's Top Gear Test Track lap times.

Bronze
Fast and Furious: Tune a stock road car that starts with less than 200hp to go 0-60 in less the 4 seconds.
Slingshot Engage: Draft an opponent for over a 1/4 mile and overtake him.
Houston We Have Lift Off: Get over 10 feet of air in a rally car.
Mr Clean: Use the car wash over 250 times.


All I can say is :O:O:O
Come on if collecting 700 or so cars isnt a gold, and 1000 online races win 90% :O
Race every single car on every single track :O

I like your names for the trophies, but it seriously needs to have the difficulty adjusted, but then again id put winning the lemans using soley the a-spec mode as a gold
 
I'm just hoping the trophies are of similar difficulty of other games. i.e. doable to get.
 
Trophies for GT5 sounds good, should make the game that extra bit enjoyable. :)
 
Isn't the platinum awarded ONLY for wining all the gold, silver, and bronze trophies?
 
I would like to see them integrate a platinum level on the license tests. Especially since you can be many seconds below the gold level like in GT4 and for every license test you complete you get that trophy and the subsequent lower level trophy too. So if you get a gold test on B-1 you also get a bronze and silver. Then add some for game completion and also if you finish the championships without losing a single race :D

Yes, you get the platinum when you won all the other trophies.
 
I'd like to see micro-badges like in MotorStorm Pacific Rift too. There could be a RAMMER badge to identify to pesky mosquitoes!
 
Believe it or not, I always have some kind of fascination with trophies. Winning something like the Gran Turismo World Championship or the Grand Valley 300km means you should be getting much more elaborate trophies than what are given to you for placing in certain positions (unless you're talking about Gran Turismo keychains :)). The racing front has a character imbalance in GT games. At least more elaborate trophies for racing events would be better than just the real generic trophies. Then imagine showing them off to friends. I'd love to imagine better trophies for GT5, but I can't come along with any interesting-looking and rewarding trophy designs.

And for the trophies for more basic accomplishments, I have nothing to really comment on that front.
 
The simple fact that we already have trophies in GT5P and they are not publicly displayed is pretty lame. Especially, from best selling Playstation franchse.
 
We may have "trophies", but we don't have Trophies. The game in fact predates the entire PSN Trophy system by some considerable time.

I know it's only gonna take a couple hours for people to start replying and whining about online ones.
 
Dont know why people would whine about online trophies, its just a plain fact, all games with online include atleast 1, and I didnt mind it, I agree some online trophies are a must with a total of around 60 trophies all together.

I love the PS3 trophies, but considering that GT series has never had them, I don't think about them much.

That will however not stop me from getting the platinum.

First trophy: When you insert your disc for the first time after the opening movie we'll get a golden trophy named "PD/Sony finally delivers" and the description will be "For your patience on waiting for the release of GT5". That will be the only given trophy in the history of PS3's trophy support.

I'm no Trophy-whore but I believe the implication of Trophies in GT5 could be done very simply, for every event you won ( or came second or third ) the in game Trophy you see appear with the credits you've earned could be directly translated into a PS3 Trophy.
And perhaps some additional Trophies for licences or achievements like finishing the game 100%.
Hope it won't be something silly like lapping the Nür for 60 hours using only a Daihatsu Midget, etc.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one analog. When I play a game I usually do so with no cares at all for the trophies. If I get any by accident, great, but I rarely look at what trophies are actually in the game and what you need to do to get them.
