If a Playseat has creaky springs, then all you need to do is treat them with some 3 in 1 oil, problem solved.
As for the comfort side, the seat is very comfy on the bum, but the back of the seat is like a torture device for me & many others! I bought a
Type S lumbar support from Passion Automotive, looks great on the Playseat & turns it into a very comfortable place to sit. Did several 9 hour sessions in GT Academy 2010 with 0 problems.
By the way, if you still have your gear shifter add on, you should sell it as they're as rare as hens teeth on the second hand market. The price form new is also sky high, you could probably get your money back or make a profit, all the while helping some poor fellow sim racer out.
