COULD SOMEONE TRY TO PUT THERE GRAN TURISMO 3 DISK IN THERE COMPUTER AND TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS? :D :D

Can't you play it if you have a tv card?

I play my PS2 on my PC
The L+R audio in a adapter to the Line-in from my Sondblaster Audigy and the S-Video to the Video-in of the Pinnacle PC-TV Pro TV-card!
I like it more than the picture on my TV!
And there are a lot of things I can do with the sound and picture!

But what happenes if I put the GT3 dish in my DVD-ROM player???

Nothing happens when you put your GT3 disk in your PC - just a bunch of files your PC can't read (I have a DVD drive).

Don't count on a PS2 emulator(something to play PS2 games on ur computer)because nobody has even made one for dreamcast yet. Plus you have to have a DVD drive for your computer to even reconize the DVD.

You can hook your PS2 up to your PC monitor with a $40 VGA box,but the picture quality is not great.

Supposedly using a $200 scart cable to hook your PS2 up to a PC monitor produces a high-quality picture.

200 dollars? Guess maybe i could have a look to see if one of my local video stores has one.

i have a PS2 emulator. PCSX2, or something.

Their might be a PS2 emulator but you would need a very very good computer to even run the games. But their are emulators to play like SNES games and other older systems on PS2 but not sure how good the speed/sound is. Right now the emulator page is under construction but I heard this is a good sight for emulation and ps2.

J2s does the emulator actually work? if so is it a "pop the cd in the drive" or is it a ROM emulator?

(oh and heck id LOVE to grab it from you if you wouldn't mind!):D

That VGA box is no good (I've tried it). It uses a composite feed and converts it to VGA. :yuck:

This one is a big improvement:

It takes the video feed directly from the multi-pin out of your PS/PS2. The video quality is very good, with only a small lack of contrast and a little color bleeding. It's nice to see the PS2 without interlacing flicker. Not bad for 50 USD.

I have heard some mixed reviews, so the reliability is suspect. I may be one of the lucky few that got a working one....

i run it on a 2.4GHz P4, so speed shouldn't be a problem. in order to play anything, you have to burn the image from the DVD onto the HD and play it from there. once you're done, you can just delete it (if you saved a game, it won't be deleted).

the site is http://pcsx2.ngemu.com/

geez i wanted to knwo if i can stick my gt3 disk in my comp and race but , i guess i cant

The Scart cable was developed by the french

S.c.a.r.t (Syndicat des Constructeurs d Appareils radio et Television) dunno if thats the right spelling but it's pretty close :)

i wanna be able to play my gt3 on my comp by just sticking it in thecomputer i hope for gt4 the built a online cababilities.. or just so that u can stick ure disk into ure comp and start playing and there should be a special controller that hooks into the controller ports on all computers:lol: but i hate it when som1 else is on the couch watching tv and thats when i need my gt3 action!!!!!

exactly!!!!!!
even if there was one - chances are it would not play a game properly, be missing sounds, or details, and only be able to play a very few select amount of games.
and evena p 2.4 would have trouble running a ps2 emu.

it runs just fine, thank you.
duh, it doesn't play games, everybody knows that - it plays demos, though.

j2s is correct.

...and that wonderful VGA box is now screwing up on me. :grumpy:

i have a $50 WinTV Go tv tuner card. The picture isn't great, and the screenshots/video don't look too good at sizes above 640X480 but for $50 you know what? It does the job.

BTW My Avatar is a screenshot from my TV tuner card (scaled down and cropped of course).
