Yes I understand what your saying, but your not understanding what I'm saying.
It would not take "some minutes" to include the TV camera in race mode......there is a lot more involved than writeing 2 lines of code, and as this thread shows that even us die hard fans are not massively intrestead in this feature thus the amount of work involved and the amount it would be used dosn't equate. I mentioned the replays as an alternative to useing the camera to admire the graphics and to "showboat" along with the photo mode.

MildAshers: it will be optional. memorize it.

it's about having fun, screwing around and looking at the car freely on track. even simbin's automobile racing simulations have it.

doughnut/drifter ppl will enjoy it too (i'm not a doughnut guy/drifter).

you might not use it. others will.

you have a problem with choices?

you're acting like it will delay the development for one whole year to add it and it will occupy 100 MiB on the 25 GiB BD-ROM.

Well, it would suck for PD having to sacrifice putting in something else, to put something as useless as said feature that only probably two people will use in the world. Actually, one, it's just you.

PD has much more things they could with their time. They could use the time to polish something, or they can perhaps add little features to the photomode camera. Much more useful. Or maybe add a videomode, instead of just photomode, where we can export mpegs...it's not that hard to do, but HELL OF A LOT MORE USEFUL.

Export Mpegs.......I suspect youtube would implode 12 hours after release if that feature was put in LOL but yeah that would be cool.

Hereward and un_peacekeeper: i'm talking about a camera option. nothing more. WTH, does the replays' and picture modes' graphics enhancements have to do when driving? NONE.

the camera functionality is there, the 3D renderer has it. what i'm asking PD for, is to make it available to us too. do you understand?

Hilarious!

One of the most amusing threads I’ve come across in years! It amazes me that such tenacity can be achieved with such a lame duck notion.

Personally, I don’t give a monkey’s bunions when it comes to camera options. Even with full 1080p setting I still teeter towards the bumper cam, although the cockpit view is remarkably easy to acclimatize to.

Getting all hot and bothered about something that doesn’t even exist is a waste of nervous energy. More so when the majority of respondents appear to be less than receptive to the idea.

Stranger things have happened though, so maybe PD will take it on board and add a new option to the main menu under ‘Buffooning About’. 💡

Oh and Greek, prior to going all mental with a riposte with an overused use of bold, kindly note that this thread is dying a swift death and the Mods are surely on the brink of locking it.

Have a nice day…

NK: tell me exactly, where did i wrote, 'i want this to be accepted by ppl'?

i'm saying, i and others want it. we're telling that to PD, not you.

ppl object all kinds of stuff (for example smoking bans). having one additional choice that doesn't bother and/or hurt anyone, that will certainly, not be forced on the player, will not lower the quality of GT5. it will make it even more enjoyable. the -supposedly few- ones that will use it, can't say what they want from PD? you care only about what you want?

also, don't forget that there are ppl that will buy GT5 when it is released, that don't visit this forum. do you know what they want and/or if they'll use it? i'll answer it for you, no you don't.

explain to me exactly, why you don't want other ppl to have it, that want it? which i'm sure, ppl will use it if that camera option is available in GT5?

BTW, i don't overuse. i use bold and italic text formatting.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!

Seriously...Greek, stop with the bold it's seen as aggressive and shouting, the same way as using caps lock. In your last post you used bold on 19 words. That to me and obviously many others is overuse.
You're defending your opinion too strongly. You asked if others want it. They say no.

It's like with so many of these threads.

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

legroom: you better read all my posts before writing a reply next time. i'm asking PD, not you. i'm requesting something from PD. what opinion?

it's called expressive writing, not aggressiveness and shouting. you can't hear me, so i use the formatting the same way i would say these words to someone using a mic or in person.

you need to learn about text formatting. start reading about it.

what threads? did you see me trying to please ppl?

where did you find that image? is he an actor?

Greek, i have read all of your posts. If you wished to direct a request to PD, then the thread title should have stated it. The title "TV camera when driving?" and your first post were ambiguous. Whilst your subsequent posts explained what you meant, the title encouraged opinion sharing in the first place.

Using bold can be expressive, but the frequency and placement with which you use it implies aggression. For example:

do you know what they want and/or if they'll use it? i'll answer it for you, no you don't.

The GTPlanet AUP also states:

Decent grammar is expected

This includes excessive/inappropriate use of formatting such as bold, itallics etc, such as the previous.

you need to learn about text formatting. start reading about it.

I know plenty about text formatting, I was publicity officer for the UKs largest student fundraising organisation for a year and so have written plenty of press releases. I have also been a very active member of this forum recently and not received any complaints about the formatting of any posts i have made. I urge you to follow your own advice.

what threads? did you see me trying to please ppl?

When i said about threads like this, i meant threads where people state their opinion and then get angry when people disagree. As you have with your recent posts.

where did you find that image? is he an actor?

Yes, that is an actor. Both the picture and the quote are from the film Anchorman. I felt it amusing to throw it into the mix as the quote was used during a pointless shouting match, which is what i felt that the thread had become.

Oh, one last thing....

Please read my posts and spell my name correctly...

Well said THAT man LOL
You stated what appeared to be an opinion (you like to see the tv camera option when driving) other people expressed an opposite opinion, you explained your opinion in detail, we explained ours...thats a conversation that be. You then tried to change our opinion, great thats good, but your posts came across as you shouting your points at us, not expressing or making them clear. We understood your view and in part some including myself agreed with it. but you carried on with what can only be seen as a writing style akin to bullying and in some places condescending. At this point most people stop listening to your opinion and the thread becomes irrelevant. Don't assume you know who people are or make derogatory statements about them. I'm a medical consultant who happens to suffer with dyslexia, if I don't run every post through a spell checker I can appear quite stupid.....when in fact I'm only slightly stupid LOL

legroom and Hereward: in my first post in this thread, i asked if GT5P has a TV camera that you can use when driving (only in replay? i said, damn if yes, 'so the only TV camera that is available is the one you can use in the replay mode', that's that's what i meant and mean in the first). they wrote to me no. then i asked if they are planning to give us the option. they wrote no and some ppl here, started saying: stupid, lame, etc. after all that, they started mentioning replays and picture modes, completely irrelevant with the subject of my thread. the order was lost and i established what was lost. that's all.

excessive/inappropriate use of bold and italic? neither. i'm making sure they'll remember what i wrote and/or read the whole posts.

no-one is shouting and it's not a sports match.

i do not condescend.

dyslexia can't stop you from improving yourself.

corrected the name. i was thinking french. :P

You do not need to bold things to get people to remember, if the point you're making is strong enough it will make itself remembered.

Bold or caps is considered shouting amongst most forums, in my opinion (from previous experience) that includes this one.

As for not condescending:

you need to learn about text formatting. start reading about it.

do you know what they want and/or if they'll use it? i'll answer it for you, no you don't.

Both of these comments seem pretty condescending in my view. Not helped by the bolding.
Especially the text formatting comment as you do not know me in the slightest.

Seriously Greek, please consider the future of this thread because it's purpose (IMO) has been served. There is no point in continuing a debate about forum ettiquite on here as it's just wasting space and time for all that read it.

"dyslexia can't stop you from improving yourself"

You don't say?

Sorry couldn't resist, I regretfully bow out of this lesson.

See you on the track and remember I didn't intend to offend and no animals were harmed in the writing of this thread...There is a joke there but it's too sarcastic for the non British audience LOL

Hereward.... legendary.

Great sign off dude...

Greek.... it's goodbye from me and it's goodbye from him.....
