Supra155605You should never have to use the e-brake in drifting. If you do, then your car isn't very good.

a112 abarthWhy are D1 Drifters using E-brake than,their cars isn't very good?![]()
Supra155605Because GT4's e-brake is way more sensative and it makes the engine quit for a couple seconds. I never said it was bad in real life.
a112 abarthWhell,ok than,but again,you can use e-brake sometimes,with highly powered car,when you miss good corner entry line!
i dont know what you mean by gt4's ebrake is 'way more sensitive' but i happen to think gt4's ebrake isnt very good.Supra155605Because GT4's e-brake is way more sensative and it makes the engine quit for a couple seconds. I never said it was bad in real life.
well... you didnt say in gt4. you just said in general. therefore you are talking about gt4 and real life. but as a112 said, the guys in Formula D and D1GP use the ebrake. not all the time, but only when needed. so your statment is not valid. You should never have to use the e-brake in drifting. but it doesnt make your engine quit, in order to lock the tires using the ebrake, one must push the clutch in(thus engine will idle... 750 rmp) then pull the ebrake, release the ebrake and then release the clutch. therefore it does not make the engine quit.

Supra155605In GT4 it makes the engine quit on some cars. Not if you keep the gas floored though.![]()
me ^^.The E Brake is only useful when you made a mistake and your trying to fix it, like an eraser
Sparco DrifterTapping the e-brake is like going in to nuetral thats why if your going like
180 k and press the e-brake and drop it down to 1st gear you can rev the engine without gaining or losing speed its pretty sick
