I know, but sometimes when you see everything just goes wrong you tend to give up and try not to suffer anymore goals.

Or try and score another, they had 2 so it's not exactly the end of the world.

I just happen to live in Athens and Man United are in town.

I'll enjoy this game. Pretty sure everyone in this cafe hates Olympiakos too because they play in Piraeus and not actual Athens itself.

Yet Dortmund had scored lots of goals out. And they Dortmund scored in less than 5 minutes after Zenit scored theirs

Terrible first half by United 1-0 down and not a good start to the second half either...going to be one of those nights I reckon!....

Seriously WTF is going on?!?!

Theres going bad and theres rock bottom, this is the latter. Neither of the other four new managers have struggled (but they have done well else where)

20 mins to go, if we get one back we've chance, if we don't get one back we still have a chance, but if we concede a third then thats it..

Hes played the wrong defence again, ferdi and vidic are going at the end and hes not strengthening the 2nd strings, bad managerment right there.

Rafael - Not good enough
Smalling - Not good enough
Ferdinand - Too old
Cleverly - Not good enough
Welbeck - Not good enough
Young - Headless chicken and a diver

Too much competition for the central attacking midfield role.

Damage limitation isn't even working.

One of the worst performances this season...and we have had some shocking ones!

That could be our last away game in the CL for a while and we go out like that?! it was a disgrace!

Raphal and welbeck i dont agree because last year, they were great, but this year, moyes prefers RVP and smalling. Until nani gets fully fit and back to best, young and valencia are our best bets :s. Hernandez has said about an exit which would be a great loss to us IMO. Cleverly, smalling and welbeck are all academy trained so its moyes thats destroying them (smalling isnt a RB, Cleverly doesnt do CDM and Welbeck is a target man) Young has his time and place but it would be 30% start rate.

Rooney and RVP earn £500,000 a week between them and they couldn't even get a shot on target against a team from Greece!

They are not good enough. It's all well and good trying youngsters but if their quality, performance and potential is only good enough for a midtable side, they do not merit a place in the United team. United need world class players, not Carling Cup class players.

moyes prefers RVP and smalling.

And how fantastic has Chris Smalling been?

Until nani gets fully fit and back to best

Also rubbish. Supremely overrated and should be sold immediately.

young and valencia are our best bets

Says it all when a headless chicken good only for diving, and not even selling it well, is United's best option.

I agree.

As above, academy players or not, they simply are not good enough for a side with ambitions of winning the league.

And even when he finally plays kagawa FOR 20 MINUTES, they did something with it. I think its time to look elsewhere for a manager, hes not up to it, 6 months is longer than most get this day and age.

It says how players worked so hard for Fergie because
they new he could turn and they would be dropped. Seems there at just 70% work rate and that remaining 30% is title hopes.

Half of the team he plays i disagree, nearly every game now. Young should play against weak right or left backs not strong or fast ones (bottom 12 teams of the PL not CL.)

A shocking performance from an average team. I'm surprised Rooney even signed a new contract, if I was him I would want out as soon as possible.

Part of me wants United to go through though, so they will face Munich, or Barca, Madrid. They lost 2-0 to Olympiakos, imagine what would happen against one of the top sides in Europe.

He's on a six year deal though, that would be a lot of compensation and grovelling embarrassment.

So like every chelsea manager thats on 3-5 year deals. Even Mancini was paid off.

Whats worse is that we draw to city chelsea and arsenal then lose to west brom, fulham and sunderland.

Unfortunately, United aren't as rich or possessing a sugar daddy as City or Chelsea.

Rich is something we are (3rd in the world behind Madrid and Bayern) we just raise and develop rather than spend but without that influential manager, we must now spend and its has been said, any funds are available.

United aren't the third richest club. They're the 3rd most valuable club.

Being a valuable corporation and brand is very different to having actual cash to throw about.

United are indeed very rich, your sponsorship money is insane and your yearly income from pretty much everything is also very high.

Great to see Joel get a goal tonight, would be great to see him back next season.

Value = cash in most sense. Where Citys value lays in the players on it owns. We have values globally through sales, image, broadcast, sponsors, tours and player sales. Big ones like AON, Air Asia (now air russia) and Audi (now chevrolet) input huge amounts on there own.

Listening to Roy Keane tonight i'd be asking him to lace his boot's up at least we'd get a little passion back in the side. Still cannot understand what Cleverley is supposed to bring to the side other than side way passes (bad under hit ones at that) We have Carrick who can at least manage a side ways pass. Rvp looked completely uninterested starting to wonder if there is some truth in the rumours about him wanting out. To say its a massive summer for my beloved club is an understatement.:nervous: I agree with the above list Welbeck and Rafael included. I would add Buttner along with Nani and Valencia to that list tell me the last time either of them put in a decent cross not up to the job!:irked:

And the worst thing is that from last years team, only 4 changes and 3 were from the management side. Now fallaini was a waste of cash and should saved it. We won it with 5 games in hand but had an average europe campaign. Others trading and strengthening makes us worse but we aren't even playing the same as last year, less direct, inflictive, lack if passion and fear factor. Same team but different style is whats killing us, go back to the old play book.

I have no idea why Moyes insists on playing Cleverley. He's never been that good of a player but we had Scholes to cover it up before. Same with Ashley Young. His performance last night was terrible but we don't really have other "wingers". Most of the time we play a CAM out there. Until Kagawa came on, we didn't look threatening at all either and it's the same thing. Moyes wants us to put in crosses when A) We don't have a Beckham type player who can cross the ball well and B) we don't have the players like Crouch who can get on the end of it. I don't see RVP score many goals with his head, his left boot however, well that's a different story. Anyway, lets hope we can pull off a miracle at OT in the second leg.

I really hate to say this, but the best option on CM after Carrick that we have now is Fellaini...

As for Young... Y u no play Januzaj, Moyes?

I can't really see us putting in a 3-0 (or 4-1 etc) result in the second leg at Old Trafford. Not with the current form, squad and staff.

Isn't that what we are doing now? Playing old, boring, hopeless football?

I mean, under SAF we atleast played more attacking football. With less goals conceded.
We did get a good bunch of goals against too, but we scored so many that it didn't make much of a difference.
