Finally got a goal after last night!

Real are letting Bayern dictate the play but then hit them on the counter....

1-0 to Real it finished!

Real Madrid really should have won that 3-1 to be honest.

A lot of people complaining that Mourinhos Bus Parking style is boring to watch. I have always found Peps, hold the ball in the middle, even more boring. Game goes nowhere. Atleast with Mourinhos style, the opposing team is in the final third a lot.

That right there, is a quote that I expected nobody to ever say, that somebody is more boring than Mou.

He's a Chelsea supporter, what do you expect ?

I think he takes real joy watching Chelsea park the bus, I can even remember him accusing West Ham earlier in the season doing the same thing, and getting a result at there ground.

Trust me, I hate when he parks the bus in big games. I've said that before.

Just to me, Peps style of play keeps the ball in the middle of the pitch far too much. Most of the game is played in the mid field. At least with bus parking, one team is constantly attacking. Rather than the game being stuck in the middle with boring safe passes.

But they aren't constantly attacking. They are doing the exact same thing you seem to think Pep does except they are a tiny bit closer to goal with more people blocking it as a result causing an absolute stalemate.

It's pretty much the same style just played in different parts of the pitch. As opposed to in the mid field the other team "attacking" Chelsea are reduced to passing it around the edge of the box.

The word attacking implies it's at least a little bit exciting, but it really isn't. Instead it's soul sucking, life destroying boredom.

Edit:tree'd

Great minds think alike Pagey. :p

The match tonight was barely any better though, don't get me wrong. Although it did provide more reason to think Pepe is an awful, awful athlete.

I was hoping for a few more goals last night to make up for Chelsea. 1 goal in 180 minutes, at least all teams have reason to go for it last leg.

I agree with you lot though, Pep's playing style is boring to watch. Pass pass pass pass pass pass. Only problem is Barcelona never played that way before he arrived but are still playing it after he left. Obviously possession is important in football but the amount of games I see where someone dominates 70-80% of it as loses 1-0 is increasing these past few years.

If it wasn't a skilful team I would agree but the more Iniesta has the ball the better, guy is out of this world, even nowadays.

Benzema is the most underrated striker in Europe for me, gets goals quite regularly and doesn't really get any credit...

There will be a minutes silence before both second legs this week and the players will wear black armbands as show of respect for Tito Vilanova...

Benzema has like a 20% conversion rate, enough said.

To be honest, I don't think he has played through the middle his whole career though. He has and can operate from the left wing, and plus I have looked at his career stats, they not that bad at all.

You are right my bad, he has a 33% conversion rate for this season. :p

You watch it now, he'll probably end up scoring tomorrow. :p

However I think Bayern will somehow find a way to get through to the final tomorrow, but we'll see what happens.

I like Benzema, and he deserves to have a better rep for sure but he is a tad wasteful.

Cech, Terry, Hazard and Eto'o all trained for Chelsea ahead of tomorrow nights game and Cech is the big surprise out of those four because everyone thought he would be out for the rest of the season but no, there he was...

Bayern v Real Madrid tonight..

Byern team...Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba, Schwienstiger, Kroos, Robbben, Muller, Ribery, Mandzuckic....Mandzuckic one yellow away from missing final should they get there....

Only one change for Real and Bale starts...I think Ramos is one yellow from missing final but im not sure..

If the rumours are true and Real do want Suarez, I'd take Benzema and £70 million in exchange no problems.

1-0 to Real! Ramos with a very nice header from a corner. Now Bayern need 3 to win because of the away goals rule.

EDIT: 2-0 now! Ramos with another header, this time from a free kick.

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence of footballers... WTF was Alonso thinking of then... 4-0 up, on a yellow, dives in and eliminates himself from a ECL final... IDIOT!!

I guessed Real Madrid will win 4-0 this game before the game with my brother, maybe I underestimated . Will see how this will pan out, just need another goal from Real Madrid and clean sheet.

Funny how the Bayern players all turned into a bunch of tools the second things aren't going their way. Ribery slapping Carvahal*. Lahm, of all people I have lost all respect after this, shoved Ramos out of the way after Ramos offered to help him up.

Never liked Pep. Glad to see he isn't as good as Jupp.

Di Maria... the most pathetic individual to ever set foot on a football pitch.
