So England fans were attacked by Russian Ultras in Marseille this afternoon and then were attacked after the game and were chased out of the stadium by opposition fans, where is the next World Cup being held again?!

Were attacked.

Hahahahaha.

However long it lasts, Wales win their first tournament game in 58 years and top the group ahead of England.

Unbelievable, Jeff.

Don't worry, England probably won't qualify!

If anything this tournament has proved so far just how far off the pace Scotland are for ever hoping to make the Euros/World Cup.

Teams like Albania, Switzerland and Romania would rip us apart.

Shouldn't be funny...

(it's not real, for reference)

Games for the next three days.

Monday
Spain v Czech Republic, 2pm, Toulouse
Ireland v Sweden, 5pm Stade De France
Belgium v Italy, 8pm Lyon

Tuesday
Austria v Hungary, 5pm, Bordeaux
Portugal v Iceland 8pm, St Etienne

Wednesday
Russia v Slovakia, 2pm, Lille
Romania v Switzerland, 5pm, Paris
France v Albania, 8pm, Marseille

Playing a 5-3-1-1 formation with seven named defenders, going to frustrate the hell out of Poland!

Raheem Sterling treads on the ball more often than a 2 year old.
He was so frustrating, whenever we broke he had loads of space but because he can't cross with his left foot he'd try to cut inside and end up loosing the ball, I think Wilshere/Vardy would be much more useful in that position.

Poland 1-0 up, Milik with the goal just after half time, N.Ireland were doing so well to defend, its been all Poland...

Your GTP correspondent on location in Kreuzberg, Berlin revelled in last night's performance.

Thursday will be spicy. One expects England to bounce back but this Wales team is resolute and the fans are fantastic. No preconceptions means no need for negativity getting on the players' backs.

Germany almost did an England.

Ukraine certainly had a chance for at least a point, but there was just too much fear in their game.

Their midfield were just trying to protect the defenders too much and leaving Kroos and Ozil have good margins of space to just play the ball around.

Exactly.

They're playing against the world champion, what's there to lose? Germany certainly isn't a unstoppable force yet, and if there was an opportunity for Ukraine to take a point, or a very optimistic 3, it was today.

Edit.

Der Schweini looks a bit fat after a year of benchwarming in England.

The potential to go through in 3rd place, no team has been drubbed yet so it would have been dangerous to try and play too aggressively. At least that's how I see it...

We have a Ukrainian football knowledge lady in our Dutch show, and apparently Ukraine already calculated a loss against Germany, they expect to beat Northern Ireland, and the game against Poland will be the tiebreaker.

Edit

Both England and Russia have been warned. If either of their fans misbehave again their teams could face banishment from the tournament.

Watching the highlights now, I did note the similarities to Pulis's WBA team.

Makes it really hard to wish them well like I am doing with Wales.

The two Ulstermen I was watching the game with were vocariously supporting Poland. ;)

Quite looking forward to all of today's games. Spain-Czechia, Ireland-Sweden and Belgium-Italy. Each has the potential to be electric.

Looks like that the English hooligans have met their match in the Russians. 150 people injured, pretty much all of them English.

Vodka trumps beer.
