They are saying its two own goals with Dias getting the first but UEFA says its Havertz goal...

I love Portugal as a country, really love it. But man, while Ronaldo is still about I just love seeing the NT lose. It's like crack.

Portugal 2-4 Germany.

Best game of the tournament by a mile! Havertz and Gosens in the second half for Germany who were taking Portugal apart at the back, Jota pulled one back to make it 4-2 but Germany get the win, this group is pretty special and its very open now with France top on four and Germany and Portugal on three apiece.

Robin Gosens and Kai Havertz of Germany and Renato Sanches of Portugal all brilliant today.

Am I right in thinking Poland could be the first team eliminated today?
North Macedonia are already out. Losses to Ukraine and Austria guarantee they would go out on head-to-head at least.

Robin Gosens is getting a big move this summer. Though I suspect, given where he plays, the big move in question will be to Juventus.

So many mistakes, no pressure on the German midfield, all 4 goals for Germany were pretty much the same. Now, we either have to draw with France, and hope, just hope, that there aren't enough 4th places with 4 points, or to win the last game, and France certainly won't make the game easy.

Why though?

Germany v Hungary (8pm Munich, BBC Two)

All Kick-off times are GMT.

Once the group stage is finished there is a two day break on Thursday and Friday, the last 16 starts on Saturday.

Italy v Wales in Rome then, eight changes for Italy who are already through, three changes for Wales with Gunter, Neco Williams and Ampadu coming in.

Italy 1-0 Wales
Switzerland 3-1 Turkey.

Pessina's goal in the first half for Italy who largely dominated the game, Wales had Ampadu sent off in the second and we had some good chances of our own, Ward had to make some good saves as well though.

Two goals from Shaqiri and one from Seferovic for Switzerland and Kahveci got Turkey's goal, two great goals in that game as well.

It means Wales do qualify as runners-up in the group, only on goal difference mind! Italy win three from three without conceding, Swiss finish in third but could still qualify and disappointing Turkey finish rock bottom of group A.

Oh cock indeed.

Let's just hope he is (literally) an isolated case...
It won't affect the England players. They spent all match in his pocket, and that's pretty much the same as a facemask.

Mount and Chilwell out of the England game v Czech Republic tomorrow after they were in close contact with Billy Gilmour after the Scotland game on Friday, they have to self isolate as a precaution.

The results from today confirm that any 3rd place with 4 points for now on, is guaranteed to go through. This means, Switzerland goes through.

North Macedonia 0-3 Netherlands
Ukraine 0-1 Austria
Russia 1-4 Denmark
Finland 0-2 Belgium

Austria qualified with the win over Ukraine with Baumgartner getting the goal, very comfortable game for Netherlands with Wijnaldum getting two and Depay getting the other, Goran Pandev played his last game for North Macedonia and given a guard of honour by his fellow team-mates and coaches when he went off, he also get a special shirt from the Netherlands, who qualify top of the group with three from three, Austria runner-up with Ukraine in third.

Denmark have qualified as well which is great for them considering what happened in their first game. Damsgaard, Poulsen, a banger from Christensen and Maele with the Danish goals and a Dzyuba penalty for Russia, Finland were going through as runners up at half time when they were holding Belgium to a 0-0 but a Hradecky own goal and a Lukaku strike for Belgium means they top the group with three from three with Denmark second and Finland third.

The first two last 16 ties are Italy v Austria and Wales v Denmark both on Saturday. Tough game for Wales! 😬

Scotland can now qualify for the Last 16 with any victory over Croatia - but a draw or defeat will see us knocked out.

England can also do Scotland a favour by winning big against Czech Republic in order to give Scotland a shot at 2nd place, but what are the chances? England have been poor thus far, but hopefully that might spur them on to a better display tonight.

Czech Republic have a +4 GD compared to Scotland, and hence in order to finish 2nd, Scotland need a five goal swing against Czech Republic, as a 4 goal swing would see Czech Republic maintain 2nd place due to them beating us in the head-to-head fixture.

Ideal scores:
England 4 - 0 Czech Republic
Scotland 1 - 0 Croatia

England to win group, Scotland to finish 2nd...

The true pessimism of a Scot, expecting Scotland to only get 1 goal and thus requiring the English to dig them out of a hole again 🤣

Where's the belief of a 2 or 3 goal victory by Scotland? I certainly don't see how England can beat the Czechs by 4 goals after the lacklustre performances before. They'd have to win by 4 goals to convince anyone that it's worth digging "Its Coming Home" out the locker again.

I think England are just as likely to win big against anyone in this tournament as Scotland are to beat Croatia tonight.

Not very. (Here's hoping though. 😗)

Scotland haven't scored a single goal in the entire tournament so far (only Turkey managed to match that after two games; Turkey then scored in a 3-1 defeat, leaving only Scotland).

In fact if you include Euro 2020 qualifying (and the playoffs) as a whole, the last time Scotland scored more than one goal in a game was against Kazakhstan in November 2019 (3-1). Since then they've played four entire games - Israel, Serbia, Czech Republic, England - and netted once.

They also lost twice to Belgium without scoring, twice to Russia with a single goal between them, and once against Kazakhstan 3-0. They did score 16 goals in 10 qualifying matches, but 15 of them were against Kazakhstan (3), Cyprus (4), and San Marino (8).

That said, they have scored two each against Netherlands and Austria in friendlies, and got a 4-0 win against Luxembourg before the tournament, but there's little reason to believe that the quite goal-shy squad will get more than a single against Croatia, if that.

And yes, England don't appear to have that much they can do against Czech Republic, unless the guys who scored a billion in the league this year actually turn up.

It's currently self-isolating in a training camp somewhere near Darlington.

My mate pointed out that Scotland wouldn't finish 2nd even if England hammer Czech Republic because if Cze and Sco finish equal on points, the tie is broken by the head-to-head result and not by GD, hence Cze will get 2nd if England and Scotland both win.

Conversely, apparently our only chance of 2nd is for Cze to beat England, but Scotland could also use a few goals against Croatia, as a tie-break with England would come down to GD.
