Here is what's in store for the next episode of Top Gear, I know there are some who would rather not know so I'll put it in spoilers. This comes from the Top Gear website.

Right, the final show. Well, the big news is that Sabine is back with a vengeance. You may remember her as the scorching racing driver who schooled Jeremy in his attempt to whack a Jag round the 'Ring in under 10 minutes; now she fronts a German version of Top Gear, with three presenters, and so naturally we issued a challenge - bring some cars, meet us in Belgium, and basically come and have a go if you think you're hard enough.

So they did, and it's a big extravaganza of a shootout that swings from It's a Knockout to some cracking hard racing. And there are, if I say so myself, some priceless moments. Just watch out for Jeremy's partner in one of the races, that's all I'm saying. And also there's a twist at the end, just like a proper Hitchcock thriller.

In addition to that we have Hammond doing the power test, which is the road-going version of the Gumpert Apollo. It is devastatingly ugly, and also devastatingly fast, so practise moving your eyeballs quickly from left to right before you watch the film. Then there's James on his own in Japan, looking at Japan's secret car company.

Finally, as I write this, Jay Kay is coming down with his sights fixed firmly on Cowell's lap time. In truth, I think he's the only star around at the moment with the speed to knock Cowell off the top, and bugger me is he hungry for it. So, no rain dances from anyone please. Let your gardens wither - we need a dry track on Wednesday.

Sounds like it's going to be rather entertaining.

Aww, final show already. :(

Yeah, hopefully season 12 will have around 10 or so episodes like season 10. Hopefully it'll come soon, rumours I posted a while ago said that it could come on during October, but this much time to shoot around 10 episodes is too short. Hopefully they've started shooting already.

Ha ha, it looks like it, now you mention it, daan... it's actually the skull (with an adult human hand to show the relative scale) of a creature that is ancestral to all hominids Aegyptopithecus.

Aaaaaaaaanyway....... I couldn't believe it when I read somewhere that Richard Hammond was perhaps considered "too old" to be the token "youngish bloke" in the Top Gear troika. I mean, 38, as Speedster correctly (and kindly!) points out, is not old... Although TG appeals to all ages, the demographic of those viewers who are able to afford the sorts of cars that TG features regularly is more likely to consider Richard Hammond "young" rather than "old"...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it :p

38 is hardly what I would call old....

👍

While 37 is in fact the ideal age to be, come early October the ideal age for anyone to be will in fact then be 38.

38......................old!!!!! Some people are just asking to get banned.

:dopey:

Scaff

Sorry, but 36 is old as it is double my age.

Old, old, old, old.

If it helps any, the next 18 years of your life will flash by at an incredible rate. Before you know it, you'll also be 36 yet you'll feel little older than you do now.

The back, knees, shoulders, etc. doesn't really come in till after that childish level of 36. There's also the eyes, things having to be further away to be in focus, until there comes a day when you can't read a paperback without artificial focusing aids.

I'm 14 months past 1/20th of a millenium.
The eyes started about 10 years ago. The back about 5, but I cheated: I pulled a muscle in a softball game- hasn't been right since. The knees . . . actually the knees are pretty good.

And let's not talk about hair.

Back to Top Gear. I enjoyed the GT-R lap, and the big cars in London. I lived in Germany when the 600 was a current production vehicle. (How's that for bringing the age reference on topic?) The hunt was kinda fun, but kinda "so what?" You knew when you saw the map that there was no blink-ing way. . . . "Streams" aren't a half-inch wide on a map.

Was a good season finale, kinda reserved but packed with a lot of stuff.

Thet Japaniese Rolls Royce didnt look all that bad... it had the rear of an Italdesign Schigera bolted too it but it did kind of work.. plus you have Japaniese build quality, saftey and reliability.

Gumpert...... fast yes,.... ulgy, very! If I spent that much I would want something nice to park in Monaco.... with that I would be ashamed...

The Germany vs Britian thing at the end was very Dad's army esque full of muck ups! :sly: The enterance was slightly overdone with the Spitfires, I actually thought it was in slightly bad taste but anyway..

Why did they have 3 Astons?? They should have had a DBRS, a Jag XK and something else.. hmm can't think, maybe an MG SV would have been cool!

The line of the night had to be when Hammond said to Clarkson "do you think weve overdone it slightly" and he replied "no ... would could have brought Bobby Charlton..." I nearly fell off my seat!

The rest was pretty standard stuff... all the time I was thinking why the hell didnt they bring the stig, :sly: but alas he showed up!

Oh and JK his usual quirky self but he can clearly drive being a petrol head.

Nice way to end the series! 👍 sticking it to Simon Cowell

Robin

That wasn't the Stig, that was James May...

I was literally rofling when the guys hand came off on the steering wheel.

The missing word round...I think the word you are looking for was arm.

The enterance was slightly overdone with the Spitfires, I actually thought it was in slightly bad taste but anyway..

That was the best bit!

I just watched the episode.
One of the best if I have to say. The Spitfires funny idea of a entrance and the final race was epic and another win for us Brits. Thanks James :dopey:

Rage if you were errrm the touring car dude.

That was a good episode. Had me laughing out loud quite a few times, which is usually how I rank my favorite episodes.

The Grumpert was faster than I was expecting. At a few points during the lap, it didn't look as fast as some of the other cars they've had. Although two seconds slower, the GT-R lap looked faster, you know?
