Now how long did they spend talking about it, rather than just the race?
Personally I got more than enough information from thoes two tests, this week I learned it accelerates like stink, it corners like stick, it's cleverer than stink, can break your neck like stink and lap the Top Gear track almost as fast as I can sneeze. Last week I learned that on the roads the car is very civilised, doesn't feel like it's trying, comfey but a bit uninspiring to pootle around town in. Ofcourse, I can understand if you wanted more form the test, but over the two episode, I personaly felt they did enough.

Really good episode I loved the bit where Clarkson banged his head on the Daihatsu's roof.... man that looked so painful! and he did his neck in at Fuji and his eye.... I thought he was going to put his back out pushing the merc! He's too old for this stuff!

That Mercedes 600 was just beautiful, It has so much presence and looks so well made.... the front folds on either side of the grille are a particular favourite feature of mine also the chrome and wood.... what a great motoring era it was back then before fuel costs and hybrids!

Dictators eat your heart out!

The Daihatsu was also very entertaining, gosh I couldnt believe how capable it was going off road in such a dramatic way... it was almost Range Rover territory and it managed to survive being treated to Clarksons off road driving (remember the polar special!). That car will sell hot cakes now.. but hardly anyone would use it even on grass... its a shame.

And what was all this Vauxhall loving about... gosh hasnt Clarkson turned.. I agree that they all look good apart from the new corsa.

All in all a good light episode... nothing too over the top or crazy.

That was seriously quick what the GT-R lapped. They arent still planning two faster versions, are they?

The paint job on the Daihatsu was great. I enjoyed that fox hunt bit more than I thought I would.

Didn't expect to see the GT-R do that well on the power lap. The news was a bit boring compared to the normal, and the Dacia Sandero joke wasn't that good really. The Grosser and PW bit was alrite, but was expecting a little more. I don't understand the point of the Daihatsu Terios bit, but I'm shocked it held up to Clarkson's driving around that area. 8/10.

Oh and, does the Terios really make that much of noise? It sounded a bit fake frankly.

It all sounds very exciting... Problem is, Top Gear is taking forever to get to my computer. You'd think I'd have learned from last time?

The Merc/RR parking took too long, but other than that, it was great. Would have preferred a car review to the fox piss but, it was funny.

Actually, I rather enjoyed the hunting bit at the end. I was very impressed by the durability of that little Dihatsu, and in the end, I came out thinking what a great car that'd be to have on sale in the US.

That all being said, despite the general epic nature of the Mercedes 600, I (like May) prefer the Roller. As he said it being "quintessentially British" certainly puts it in a league of its own.

Daihatsu has always made good offroad vehicles.
Rockys were used a lot for cross country racing against range rovers and such.

But i'm going to have to send an angry letter to top gear, because he didn't have his seatbelt on.
Totally irresponsible if you count the many times he hit his head on the roof.

Oh, and mud tires wouldn't have hurt the offroad handling of the Terios either.

I noticed that. It sounded almost like a Chevy V8. Somehow i don't think so!

That's exactly what I thought as well, and now I'm sure it's been dubbed over. The exact same sound repeated the whole section anyway. 👎

Me and my sis spotted that but as he wasn't on public roads at any point I doubt it is illegal.

A good episode, and I don't know why but this one had an especially scripted feel about it.

Screw the GT-R, I want...

@ExigeEvan
Not illegal, but irresponsible.
I always have my seatbelt on when driving offroad. (or sitting in the passenger seat)

Solid Fro, the first arrow is in the wrong place! Should be pointing to the girl left of Clarkson in the black dress :D The girl in the Hammond photo looks remarkably like a girl I know, should meet up with her again...

Last night's episode was...alright. It wasn't particularly brilliant which is ashame, hopefully next week will be a decent series finale.

I do hope you're just taking the mick out of the people who do complain. Just because you would wear your seatbelt driving off-road on private land with the land owners permission doesn't mean someone else should. Complaing about something when no rule has been broken and no flaw in a legal system is being exploited is as stupid as someone else telling you you shouldn't let your 15 year old kid have a can of beer at home.

seriously new season has some nice girls (boobies actually):dopey:

I want a GT-R so bad!
if my mom sell her house which our current home I can buy one of that.
But bringing that car to my country cost me double :grumpy:

Nah, I'll take the one in the turquoise. Something about her body is totally erotic. If you have access to a girl who looks like that, what's stopping you?

A mate's ex... didn't finish too well either. 'Nuff said.

Tractor drivers dont need to wear a seatbelt so Clarkson didnt really need to either.. but it would have helped stop his head hitting the roof... that looked so darn painful!

Meh... that episode flat out sucked. 👎:(

Solid Fro, the first arrow is in the wrong place!

I approve of his picks in fact after getting a close up of the first one I approve of the order too. xD

That wasn't an overly thrilling episode, the fox thing was sort of cool I guess but everything else was meh.

The episode as a whole was average, but damn, that GT-R... Just watching the lap, I was amazed at how quick it was moving.

Did anybody else immediately jump into GT5P and take the GT-R for a spin around Fuji?

Was pretty impressive that it got a close time to an Ariel Atom.

This week's show was alright. Nothing outstandingly well-done, but seeing Hammond get thrown over the horse was pretty funny. In the intro to episode 1, though, there was footage of Clarkson flying a Spitfire, which should make for an interesting finale.

I can't wait until the Top Gear Test Track is released so we can rip the Stig's time apart :D.

In the aerial shot at the end you see a Land Rover Defender with all sorts of cameras on it. My money is that it was the Defender you were hearing. I thought that the Terios stood up to the abuse well, but I know my geography well enough to know when he was looking at the map that the "stream" was going to be interesting for him.

Oh yes, I noticed her alright. 👍

Well that Defender must sound good then. Now I feel like watching it again to try and spot it.

They admitted it could be (probably is anyway) the camera car. http://www.topgear.com/blogs/planettopgear/135-show-six-wilman/
