I could imagine Russell Brand having a good Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segment, especially with Clarkson adding fuel to the fire...

Sadly i didn't see this episode until the part were Jeremy are on the Highway (i forgot what was it, i think it was A something... ) before he leaves that highway road so i must have missed a lot of things.

What are your thoughts about the Episode? Good or the same thing as the other Episodes that aired on this Series?
 
Was alright... given the M3 and i8 are too of my favourite cars I was looking forward to this.... but the whole episode was a little flat... except that dam :lol:

I'll probably get killed for saying this, but the SIARPC hasn't been that bad this season. Of course the Ed Sheeran one was terrible, but since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed the segment. Will Smith came off as a little try-hardy, but was still brilliant for a majority of the segment, same can be said about Margott Robbie, aside from the try-hard part.

The Chilean flag badges on the Top Gear Time Board weren't needed, after everything else they've done, but I understand what they're doing. Clarkson on Argetina in the SIARPC interview was funny but risky, considering where he stands in the eyes of the BBC & the media.

The car reviews... I was looking forward to both but found them a tad bit dull and somewhat uninteresting. The bit about controlling certain features of the i8 from your phone was interesting, but that was about it...

The news... one word really, meh. I was really looking forward to it, but it was a bit wasted in terms of content.

7/10 for the episode...

All fair points and 67/100 is a fair score for that episode I feel. The news was disappointing and I never even noticed the Chile thing.
 
An episode I actually enjoyed last night! I haven't seen that dam since seeing it as a kid. We used to stay near the Elan Valley as we had relatives in the area. Seemed a lot more discoloured than when I saw it last!
 
Good episode, really surprised how fast the AMG GT was (new stig though) the SIARPC was one of the best lately, I really don't like hybrids so for a childish reason I wanted Jeremy to choose the M4/3 (which he sort of did eventually) but anyway decent enough episode.

A decent episode overall;I liked the reviews and SIARPC,but the Land Rover bit was bullplop.
Surprised about the i8 being so un-economical,31mpg as apposed to 134.
Surely 50 or 60mpg can be achieved?
Interesting car though.
 
So adding some Chile badge on the Test lap leader board is making the whole episode are bad? really? even thought they didn't talk about it?

The only thing i hated is the news, everything is is great or okay.
 
Just watched the latest episode, and it actually felt like old Top Gear. The AMG-GT review was good, as was the M3/i8 segment. Scriptchard and the Land Rover was a bit naff, especially since it was pretty heavily modified.

But there's the news. They talk about the Mustang being RHD (which has been known for ages) then pretend not to be a car show by showing pictures of random cars and saying silly things. And then at the end when Jeremy basically said 'Sorry we talked about cars this week, back to normal service next week'. Something's very wrong when reviewing cars is unusual for a car show.

Good episode, enjoyed the I8 seg and SIARPC, two problems, I would've liked the AMG GT bit a bit longer and even though the defender bit was good it did finish on something of an anti-climax, also would've liked to have seen how the I8 did around the track, I'm sure I'm not the only one there!

I was disliking myself for liking the M3 better I really wanted the i8 to be more awesome. :P I mean they show the M3 doing amazing long drifts and Jeremy talking about how all M3s slide the back out so wonderfully (328i do that too!! :D!) then they switch to the i8, which only has like 150 hp to the rear, and you know it can't do that.... I think BMW should move the electric engine to the back and up it to 300 or so hp so that it can be more like the M3, yet still be efficient. Because global warming is a very serious issue. Mainly only scientist seem to care about the consequences of it, I have studied the issue and hybrids can be better in every way, Le Mans has proven that, but somethings still missing. Hybrids are only a temporary solution, we have to go fully electric soon. :(
 
Through an arrangement with a coworker we did manage to work out a way of watching the new season after all, legally, despite not having BBC America.

After the hilarious ambulance episode, this one was a bore.

The SIARPC was ok but the reviews and the Land Rover thing were pretty boring.
 
Yeah, the prat-like manner in which they acknowledged that they're now a variety program was annoying.
As was Will Smith's damn clapping, so forced and fake.

As his time was slower, he said it was like clapping the other guy at an awards ceremony, when he didn't win.
