Entertainment Weekly: BBC has "no ban" on Clarkson. Shelved Top Gear footage will still air.
According to BBC Two Controller Kim Shillinglaw, the footage that was filmed before Clarkson was sacked for hitting a producer will air later on this year on BBC Two and BBC America, saying , "No way would I want the available material not to be seen by viewers." “It’s serious and unfortunate what happened,” Shillinglaw, who is currently searching for Clarkson’s replacement, continued, “but there is no ban on Jeremy being on the BBC.”
Jeremy Clarkson, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, spoke out about the impact that Top Gear had on his life, saying, “For more than 12 years
Top Gear has been my life, completely. It was an all-consuming entity, a many-tentacled global monster that was dysfunctional and awkward and mad but I loved it with a passion.”
