Unannounced 2.06 Changes

Any one notice any ride height changes for some cars like the standard Zondas, premium Viper GTS, 350z etc? They are all SUV height even with the 15k suspension at the lowest. I was hoping for this.

Any more cars like the Veyron that can now change wheels?? Thanks. I wont be able to update till tomorrow....

And I just took a look at some of the standards... wheel arches are looking a lot more impressive on the BMW McLaren and stuff.

Which was not even needed in the first place, I simply said "replace this new sound over the current sound samples", And he jumped on my back...Hes really proving him self to be "That" guy.

I played GT at my friends house, I can say for a fact the lighting has been improved, we both have he same tv and gt5 and he updated his mines not, Post 2.6 here are sun fares and the cars seem much crisper. Feels More alive with the sun rays !
 
but anyway, seriously a big difference with standards...Seriously look premium now, i will upload 3 shots of a 350z i took.

What has changed apparently is the reflection,lighting,shading and they are alot more sharp. as you will see with the 350z prepare to be blown away.

I just checked the McLaren F1 GTR. Now, it might be placebo but... it certainly does seem to look a bit better.


And it did the "Installing" notification when I looked at it, and that at least implies that they changed something about it because I know that I had already looked at it before. Does anyone have a picture of one from an older patch that they could post so we can compare?
Similarly, does anyone have a Subaru Legacy 2.0 Spec B? Because that was one of the cars that was still glitched in terms of LoD settings.

Yeah, great opportunity to compare pre 2.06 with actual. Wish I had chance do that.

Can you tell more about what has changed thas been discussed? sounds, standard´s looks etc. etc.

Vette and Camaro have new sound samples, Vette sounds like the #24 2011 NASCAR tweaked...

What is different about the lighting in the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP? I have not had an opportunity to check it out yet. Love that car so any update interests me greatly.
 
Well i saw or i noticed something in the lighting system or effects. I was testing some stuff in the FFB, sounds and physics in the Test Track "Route X" and looking at the car from outside i noticed the sun reflected in the car but i am not sure if this is old or not because i saw tons of replays and never noticed the sun actually reflected in the car.

Actually at some angles the car shine depending in where is the light or the sun light located. I´m going to make some photos and see if the effect appear so you can see what i am talking about.

I have pCARS and the sun is reflected in the same way. That´s why i think this is something new.

Also i am in my garage right now looking at the VW Nardo and the car is reflecting the light. And that is something new. Maybe is one of those effects that the game should had but they had it turned off because of performance. Who knows. Maybe they activated it to see how it works but the lighting looks a little bit better.

Cars with some clear colours looks brighter and yes it is not me the cars are reflecting the lights of the "set" in the "my garage". (re-checked with some more cars)

That´s why standards seems to look better it is something in the lighting system. This affects the way the entire car looks and the paint colours at some point.

Go to your garage and put any car with an orange colour or red and see what i am talking about. Even the light is reflected in the lights of the car for example in the Evo IX.
 
Damage is better and the sun gives off rays you can see the rays at deep forest they go through the trees. I love how PD does this makes the game so excited to play. 👍
 
Am I the only one that doesn't like the new sound on the Lexus IS-F Racing Concept? Its what made it stand out so much and now its gotten the terrible Subaru WRC sound that I already despise.

I am a "full member" and yes the game is still in pre-alpha but more close to beta stage. So, not the final game of course.(2013)

But back on topic the lighting system looks even more dynamic than before. I think that now cars reflects the lights but not as it was before...it reflects the objects that "gives" the light. (the Sun,or light coming from a point like in the "SET" in the garage)
 
Ok if we want to test this, ima gonna test six cars:
Standard 25th aniversery countatch
Standard supra rz HSR grid
Standard supra rz In ssrx tunnel
Diablo *standard* trail mountain grid and tunnel
premium R35 in all the above conditions
and deep forest "rays" with the catherham * pre 2.6 pic!*
so you guys can put up the pictures.

as to comparision, well I´d say hard to tell. could be a bit better now wih 2.06. Or you are just a better photographer

The sounds have DEFINITELY been changed. The 97 Civic Type R sounds like a standard 95 integra type r. The sound of this car has COMPLETELY changed.
