Well before the crash, the left tail lights matched the right. But after the crash one of the lights went out, as you can see they no longer match.

But I'm almost sure that's how the tailights work in the SL. I've always noticed it since GT4. The tip of the right tailight is always on even when not braking, the left one doesn't have that tip. I don't know. I'll fire up my PS2 and check it in GT4 and do a comparison with GT5's R230's.

I can verify
- damage has been improved
- cars are shineier
-you can see your gloves in a standard car.

Yes the interior of the standard look better. Cars look better also. 👍 Replay sounds are a lot better to.

So, they changed how the RM Camaro and the FTO STC sound...

Anybody tried the Sauber Merc C9 yet???? That car really needs a complete sound change... :nervous:

Drive the Nissan R390 GT1 Road car you can actually see the red interior and the red seats. 👍

I noticed that a few people commented on better collision sound effects. Are these claims true or are they just a result of the placebo effect?

And I'll be sure to post how I feel about the collision sounds once I get home and fire up my PS3.

They need to fix the engine sound for the M3. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner and the AMG cars need to be louder

+1 to both of these.

Did the M3 CSL get the right wheels?

No.

Wait do the pick up trucks now have a full bed in cockpit view or is it still cut off ?

No idea. You got something to try now. 👍

Well I know what I'm doing when I get back from school tomorrow

Damage is confirmed to be better * i did damage testing a few months back*
I rammed the 370 z three times to dislodge the bumper at full speeds, this time it took one and the car was all deformed..
Off to test the silvia *premium* that car will not deform for some reason , mabby it will today! and the 430 Ferrari !

Yes! I would love for the m3 to be fixed! Drives me insane when I hear it, which is a lot.

Do you still want something to do when you get home from school tomorrow or can I ruin this for you?

Can someone explain the flares for me?

Are you asking what lens flare is or are you asking what's different?

What's different: they look different now. Lol.

Didn't read all the way through this thread but the race mod Corvette ZR1 and the Camaro ss 2010 race mod have some V8 snarl to both of them. They feel like new cars.

Edit

I just read through and see that others have mentioned what I said....oh well. The Vette sure sounds angry though.

They sound cammed but 7000rpm still sucks. The Cougar needs an overhaul

No. Same sounds just stronger.

Exactly what MJRL said: the LOSS OF SENSITIVITY!!
I too have to turn the wheel a lot more for the same corners!!

DF GT wheel here too, and also problems since 2.06. Before, I set the wheel at FF=10 and power steering off, still too light but I could tell what the car was doing... Since 2.06, power steering is still terrible (off), trying FF around 5 since 10 is just stiff but dull. While they've increased resistance, there's lacking detail (sensitivity) with kerbs, bumps, or the rear end moving around (all things the DFP and GT4 handled just fine).

The dead zone is dreadful now especially in reversing directions (s-turns in Hatzenbach for instance). This is testing both the FGT and the GT-R LM at Laguna and Nurburgring. Reminds me of how they fiddled with the handling of the X2010 (which I no longer drive because of it). And more steering for the same corners, about killed my wrists going for a time in the Monaco TT with the F2007 (how I managed a 1'10.6, I don't know... the car was really getting on my nerves). Does it just feel like more steering because it's less direct? I have a lot of moments where the wheel doesn't feel very connected to the front wheels. Or maybe my wheel is just about to go again ... who knows.

RM Camaro does sound better, a bit like the #24 Impala... and even the Corvette C5R '00 sounds meatier now (not the Camaro LM though, still about as thin as before). PD just can't seem to capture and produce aggressive engine notes ... the NASCAR sounds (or Viper GTS-R Race Car) are close but those just sound buzzy. Chaparral 2D is almost there. Someone over there needs a Marshall stack in their office (cranked to "11") to help understand the dynamics of an angry tone. Or just listen to on-board of the Corvette at Le Mans for about a week...

1.Sounds have definitely been changed, engine volume seems quieter now and some reports say the transmission whine with the fully customable gearbox is gone.
Unfortunately.. that's not true. At least not for the C6 RS6. On roof/hood cam it still is annoyingly noisy.

Supposedly there have been other sound changes on various V8 cars like the IS F RC, M3 GTR Race Car, CLK Touring Car, Opel Astra Touring Car and CLK-LM. Apparently though they got the same Impreza racing exhaust treatment as the Vette C5R...apparently the LFA also got a slight sound change. Camaro SS RM still probably benefitted the most though if Furi is correct it isn't a new sound byte, just one from a newer NASCAR. Still doesn't take away from the terrible sound they gave the FTO STC.

Can pretty much confirm all that. Gonna try the furai to see what that sounds like.

The FFB change is HUGE! I need to do a bit more testing, but it feels like they changed the tire model for Comfort Hard(I drift, a lot). I used to be really consistent, able to put down laps that would look almost identical. But now it seems like they have changed the grip because the front end wont do what it did before. I will continue testing it and see what I can come up with.

Line breaking bar has bin took out the game no more fun line breaking people calling them gay and things about they mums

So that's what that other thread was all about... I personally see this as a good thing, the idea of being anonymously insulted in the chat box is enough for me to say good riddance to that glitch. I feel sorry for anybody that was caught up in such crap, and I'm just pleased that when I want a good online race I don't find myself in the kinds of lobbies that this would occur.

Wait.... They fixed that? Hallelujer!
I got insulted by some pillock online insisting that I was cheating after winning three consecutive races.
