Is it just me or did the 650 PP Nürburgring Nordschleife event get harder with this update ? It might be me, after couple of days trying to improve my drift score in Cape Ring, I can't drive straight anymore. :nervous:

Seems there is a physics change. I host a Formula Drift competition, and even the DS3 drivers noticed a difference in their cars. Could just be a placebo effect, but it seems the cars are way more sensitive to throttle inputs and spin out way easier. Haven't tried any grip driving yet though.

WHAT??? They spin out easier then before? OMG, I´m never gonna learn how to drift with the wheel now. But racing now feels better, well maybe I´ll learn someday, I did with DS3 so...

but the racing transmission irl IS annoyingly noisy.

psst: "They just want engine and exhaust sounds beeing from outter space, like in forza, they don´t want the sound of transmission like in a race car!"

Don´t tell nobody that I told you ;)

And just to add to this:

That's true. I use DS3 and yes, there's a difference, specially noticed with sports hard tires... before I could drift the stock E92 the way I wanted, no drama... it was easy to recover and all... last night I was testing that and sometimes I lost control more easily... same for the SLS AMG.

Can't explain but feels like the tires have more grip in some situations, and less when drifting... I felt that acceleration control have more impact on drifting.

All I said sounds obvious BUT its like the effects of throttle control were amplified... the whole physics feels "amplified"... the way that the suspension works, the body roll... Not as dramatic as Spec2 was, but there was a change for sure.

I was having this same experience with the stock 86 GT. It subsided a bit as the tires warmed up, but it was still spinning out easily and sliding all over the place when I was keeping it from spinning.

LOL, well do you think he complaint after the race?

If anything they should make FRT whine LOUDER, to detter the unworthy from frivolously slapping FRT on EVERYTHING.

Thats why Democracy is flawed, if it was up to the masses, what would GT be like? :scared:

👍 I agree but let´s not start a war over this :)

Edit: Nor a revolution!

Hasta la victoria siempre?

If you listen to Blut Aus Nord then you're used to percepting nuances, so I have to agree with XEPEG's opinions in this thread. :)

Gonna ride the ring listening to MoRT lol

cheers

Nice theory sir. I agree!

I can kinda confirm that Mt. Aso theme on Course Generator seems a bit more flexible. First and last sectors remain similiar, but the "middle" sections can have more turns and variety.

I'll keep testing...

Wow, revolution started?

Viva la revolucion!

LOL, nah... we have enough wars on GTP. :P

just finished like 20 mins ago.
Damn those graphics are insane with no hudNurburgring 24H @ 19:40 with those new flare effects.
It seems damn smooth and there is no more changes in the lightning in the cockpit of cars like the peugeot 908,that was annoying! Now I can easily play in cockpit and it's further back in some cars too-AWESOME

You're right, I tested and it's real. But maybe it's because of the lightning that they tweaked, but I will add to the list.

Lets hope they did it to the Mustang. They must have had a midget driving that car! (no offense to any midgets out there.)

What about A - B? Still not possible?

agreed, on both, lol

FFB feels a bit stronger which I like, because I already have it on 10 and it felt a bit tired earlier (my G25 wheel has taken quite a beating so it's getting lazy) but other than that (sound, physics, feel) I haven't noticed any difference.

A-B still not possible. Well, I think they are saving that for Spec 3.

I dream about having point-to-point tracks

yeah me too, from day one, and I would find it such an easy thing to put in... but well.

This and customized Races/Championships... Let´s keep up hope.

After reading the first post and quickly checking the others, I think no one has mentioned this: you can't put line breaks on you chat text on online anymore.

What I mean is this:

You say something.

Then put those empty spaces between your text and say something else.

So no more funny/annoying/mislabeled text in ingame chat.

I noticed that a few people commented on better collision sound effects. Are these claims true or are they just a result of the placebo effect?

And I'll be sure to post how I feel about the collision sounds once I get home and fire up my PS3.

Most definitely a more "realistic" crash sound and less of the thud sound. specifically the tail-end section of a car smashing into the wall.

Hmm so I was messing around last night and I am pleasantly surprised with the changes and unannounced ones too, if you will. I did notice something strange that I am not sure has been been there for awhile or not.

I was driving the ZR1 RM (love the new sound!) and was stationary. I was revving and sometimes with the right depression of the R2 for gas, was able to max the revs in first gear (up to about 17-18 mph) while using automatic w/o it shifting! Once I depressed the R2 all the way, it continued to accelerate normally out of 1st gear. It was almost like my DS3 had a clutch all of a sudden. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought maybe it was my controller, but I tried all three that I own (two being new), and all were able to duplicate the issue/glitch? after awhile. Weird....

Was mentioned before in here. They were happy its gone, because they happened to be anonymously insulted by others

Edit: its on page 11

If they put clutch in for DS3, why should it work with automatic?

Well I tried it out, same car, but this affect of clutch slip didn´t occure. Maybe it´s because of the R2 button? tbh your the 1st person I heard using r2 to accelerate

Unannounced Changes List:
1.Sounds have definitely been changed, engine volume seems quieter now and some reports say the transmission whine with the fully customable gearbox is gone.

I took my RS6 with a custom gearbox for a spin and the transmission whine is definitely quieter, but it's still there. Much more tolerable.

I'm with you on that one. I think that R320i vid sounded great, but you have to be careful how much you trust the microphone in an onboard camera, it invariably inserts noise that isn't there or its resonant frequencies make certain parts louder (many onboard Corvette at Le Mans videos get a bit weird in part of the rev range, but you can't hear the transmission at all). Not saying the transmission noise wouldn't still be VERY LOUD... though I notice even in that BMW video, you can still hear the engine. Wish GT5 could achieve that.

It was possible to do that in previous games.
