Unofficial MGS4 PS3 Theme: WIP

I should have some more updates tonight (with bullets and stuff). Sorry for the lack the past weeks, I was so busy I couldn't do much :(

EDIT: I think i got a pretty good idea of what to do with the bullets on the bottom, I'm gonna make like three different icons and one sub see if you can find out what it is :D
 
Does this make sense to any of you guys? (just wondering if i'm going in the right direction)

I thought it could fit as a friend icon not sure though, i'm playing around but i think it will be ok for now i'm doing just the horizontal icons for now and i'll try see if it looks good on the console and take some screenshots =D


otherwise i'll have to make a less crowded one
 
Solid Lifters, do you happen to have any close ups on the snake eye? I'm thinking of going simple instead of the complex coder icon for the friends stuff, i haven't had much time to work on this again but i'm planning to finish everything this weekend revamp all the stuff and make it awesome (official MGS4 site wallpaper will come handy), need to find the sounds of the mgs menu too the cancel and approve :P

Alright, I'll post stuff here as soon as I get them done :)

You can have the two desktops i did if you want them both the same but they make reading things hard to see, but here you go, you may be able to modify it, as the one from the Japanese store is gray instead of white.



 
The colour change on the red is a little iffy, I can see some cyan artefacts going on.
 
I've done a quickie on the red one, no cyan bits now.

 
I think have i have great idea when I was sleeping :P (just woke up obviously) I was thinking on how GT5 Prologue just adds the "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue" part of the logo to your background without any actual "background", i'm gonna try see if i can make a 1080p PNG background with camouflage so it would just go over the animated waves (default) and add snake and the logo somewhere, see how it would look :D
 
A little update (changed friends icons, added bullets, changed the size of the icon itself amongst other things)

I'll post some of my little experiment with the png background for ps3 themes so you can play around with the default "wave" effect :)

EDIT: damnit, the theme builder won't accept .png file which means i'm screwed, can't use the kickass waves ;(;(!

EDIT2: got the metal gear specifics sound effects in the theme and working, they sounds really really cool... too bad the icon work is so early and not good enough for me to upload anything so you guys can hear them :D (soon I hope)

well, i spent a lot of time on the GT theme and I got a lot of work so maybe I'll have time to do some stuff sunday, not sure... as soon as I have updates, I post them right away :)

I tried a bit and it's not quite up to my standards right now but don't worry I just have a lot of work and I'll post new things as soon as I get anything done :)

alba I think you could try that effect you mentioned before with .jpg format, though I'm not entirely sure....
 
Alba, I've got every piece of downloadable content, even the songs, from the new MGS4 website. If you need any of it, just let me know.
 
just been busy like crazy but i plan to have it finished before the game comes out :p
