update 1.05 - Ensure you follow the AUP when posting

yet it had patches that requires internet............................... Your the one that needs to check the world outside, almost every game today gets DLC and patches, even the Ps3 itself gets updated onlione, move out of the dark ages,.

Yet those two games are FAR more finished than the misunderstanding GT5 without the patches.

People are so happy they can download 600mb so the game comes a bit closer to what EVERY other game now has. And it still doesn't have rewind in replay mode. Pathetic.

good for you, doesnt change the fact a lack of online system, lack of online restrictions at launch, lack of Xp/Credits, lack of damage, lack of a-spec events, no match making, etc....

What a guy are you? You call me a troll, but you open a complete new thread to critisise PD (was closed), then you opened a new thread were you thanked PD (was closed for non-productive and opposed content) and now you are dissing again.

I mean....can´t find word for what a show your pull off here.

Look, how cute, i got a stalker, LMAO. Stop following me around its creepy. Im aloud to criticse some things and praise others, its not rocket science, LMAO.

Yeah you are right but maybe the will bring an new version out in end of 2011?? Because if each update will have 500MB many people will need an new harddisk...

Also why is this patch called 1.05? Did I miss the 1.04??

And what is with leaderboards now? are they in?

A lot of times when games bring out a new version (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Burnout Paradise) all of the extra DLC content is still installed separately, so the file size is basically the same as if you bought the original and downloaded the updates.

Patch/update numbers don't need to go in any particular order, they're just rough approximations of how much work has been done, with no strict set of rules to follow. 1.04 may have existed, they probably had a bunch like 1.04a, 1.04b and so on, it doesn't mean they all get released :)

I still think PD is smuggling cars in with these huge updates. Adding a couple of modes and unlocking cars we already have in game doesn't use that much space.
56 minutes left..56 minutes left...ATT sucks with internet.

I don't know if people mentioned it, but I think it should be fairly obvious that all the data for the SLS competition in Europe and the GT Academy event in the U.S. is also in this update.

It looks like PD is really going to be beefing up GT via these updates. Kaz even mentioned he want's to update the game at a pace of one update every month.

At this rate, this time next year this game is going to be a completely different monster, an evolution of what we have now... All of the people who whined and bxtched about the game are about to look real stupid.

Hmm, no, it's probably because of the bitchers and moaners that it's being patched in the first place. I can see Sony preferring to let their cash cow start work on the next iteration soon. But they have enough sense to fix the game first (keeping fingers crossed).

It's like Facebook, when it first started it was a lot less than what it is now. But since there wasn't really a precedent to compare it too people just ate it up bit by bit. Now if you were to imagine GT5 as being the first Gran Turismo of this new age then you're on to something.
This is the beginning of a very, very, long journey.
The critical difference being that Facebook is free and Gran Turismo is not, hence the greater expectations.

Doing practice events now forwards the used car dealership with a selection of 6 new cars, at least I think. Can someone confirm this?

You lot are lucky... I have to way 1.5 hours for the patch to download, all because I cant get internet higher then 0.5mb in my area... (too far away from the exchange...)

Get yourself an ethernet cable and plug your PS3 directly to your router or directly to your PC.

I was just wondering if plugging it into the laptop might do the trick. I don't have access to the router and the people who own it wont give me the password to it like its some big secret. Not to mention the mac address filtering and the fact the range is terrible on both the router and the PS3... nightmare!:grumpy:

I will give the ethernet cable from my laptop. Which currently has working internet a go. Thanks for the suggestion :)

It's kinda obvious sony pressured PD to release the game for christmas. All of this stuff they are adding now was most likely in the process of development.

are you still playing? are you happy they're releasing patches/updates frequently and listening to the fans?

If we're lucky, PD is going to keep updating GT5 throughout its lifetime - My favorite PC FPS game, Team Fortress 2 is 3 years old now and Valve keeps updating it ALL THE TIME (FOR FREE). We can only hope that PD will be doing the same for us.

Obviously, it was just a response to another post, dont take psots out of contxt please.

Ok that just takes the piss. I refreshed the UCD over and over for 4 HOURS!! Just to get the FGT..

Do this update..

Look at the Online Collectors Dealership..

AND THERE IT IS.. Great Update though <3 <3

Just noticed the FGT is in the online dealership! FINALLY!!!!

@speedthrill - I wasnt flipping out, just being enthusiastic!

Plus Facebook updates don't take up HDD space.

Ill check. But when I access the PS3 save data, go to GT5 and press triangle and go to info. It says the save data is 6.5gb

Definitely game data, no doubt about it. No PS3 game saves are much bigger than 5MB at the most. How long would it take to save the game if it had to write 6.5GB of data every time you finish a race?

Download the update now, but I have a doubt about the AMG Driving School Changes

I had Silver on my Intermediate, hence, not unlocked Nurburgring 24h.
Now, theoretically it should be unlocked, right? Also, will I receive a gift for the 190E?
