Smacking tyre barrier walls, makes a sound now.
Also more damage from what is saw.

Lighting seems better, there is a haze effect

Nothing wrong with making online better, face it, a XP/Credit system was sorely needed for online, but yes, they really are lacking offline content. Dont forget A-spec Pd.

It appears the game now remembers some of your menu settings, I just went back into my garage to see the cars still sorted by make and not order purchased/won. Useful 👍

Really? that would be another awesome detail that was buggering me too...

I'm trying to get my drift cars sorted separately like i did in GT4 by choosing them the latest... Now it would remember that by date! Awesome!
 
I'm thinking the online dealer everyone that is online sees the same exact cars.. Maybe so if I have a car to trade I can tell then to buy something from there to trade me ?

Well the FGT just lost all its value. Just went in the new dealership and theres a white one already lol, no more grinding for money and no more grinding for it to appear.... I dont think its good. PD say its a place to obtain rare cars.... well doesnt that make them common now? Id like to see if this garage is the same for everyone or generates randomly.

Great news about the FGT I was getting tired of seeing smart ****s ripping other people off with their FGT - enjoy your blue FGT I just got a new silver one and didnt get ripped off :D
 
So are the cars that are bought in the online dealership available just for online use, or offline as well?.

I guess i will try and not be too pissed with this update until i install it after work, and actually see how it all works.

Maybe it not as bad as i first thought. Still wish they focused on adding more offline events.

I can understand your frustration but this game was designed with online interactivity in mind. I haven't played online that much either but I am happy with any updates PD is willing to implement.

As for "those who have no internet connection?" (those who do not have an internet connection), why would a person who does not have an internet connection care if this update focused mainly on the online features of the game as they would not be downloading the update anyways?

Just a thought. Thanks PD for the hard work and dedication to making GT5 the best driving simulator, online and offline!

Only problem with your logic is that anyone who traded their Blue FGT for a F1 2007, is now able to buy a different colored one now.

People who weren't greedy and have kept their FGT will still have a blue one. Like me.

Lucky I'm happy with a Blue one, glad your silver one is bringing you such joy.

I think it's a marketing trick for higher prizes until January. Kids will nag their parents more for a GT5 for Christmas if there are present cars and extra coins for races during the holidays. Also everyone how is thinking about buy the game will buy it now or never.
Great idea though.
Finally I can afford that FGT.

Offline also, they're just a 12 cars cycle garage that the whole world has but is under command of PD. They choose 12 new cars probably every month for us to buy if we want.

I'm supsiciously believing it could be through this way they are going to bring in new cars eventually in the future... Just a gamble though. For now it shows rare cars for you to buy!👍

There are more offline events too but are updated in the seasonal through online connection....

There should be specific online events to enter. Half the time you go in a room without a clue of what people are running. It should be set up like prologue.

No it hasn't. There is still no matchmaking, no specific online races (just a couple of time trials). You still have no idea what someone is running in a lobby.

Yeah but what about us poor suckers who bought theirs in the lame blue(I did just the other day finally) You can't even sell it....I was hoping to sell my blue one that I have pretty much only let Bob drive up to this point....

So I lose 4.6 million credits(or have to grind out another 4.6mill)to get another one in a more desirable colour(I thought the green one looked real sharp)
I have a red one available in my dealership right now but only got 2.5 mill right now because of the monster purchase I made on the blue one...:ouch:

Or it could be, you know as the name suggest, a -seasonal- event ^^
It's not like there isn't any game out there besides GT5 which will give out bonuses over holidays/special occasions etc.
Think of all those events in e.g. mmorpgs.
 
And with no new A Spec events (except a paltry few which you can only get the credit/xp once) the grind will still be there...... unless you opt for the currently woeful online mode.... enter a room without a clue what people are racing.... no matchmaking.

Some people are just so easily pleased.

Yeah, still work to do onlione wise. Not being able to see what others are running without going into the lobby os bad design.

Its just irritating me that they are kinda forcing you to be online with each update to get more from the game.

Maybe its just me...............maybe im just a cranky SOB today. I will see how it unfolds for myself once i install it when i get back from work.
