Like I said early, PD could have added something that they plan on activating in a later update (Like brake caliper paint and customizable rear wings).

I was at 99% of installing this update after FIVE HOURS of downloading and installing this update and....

My PS3 CRASHED! IT CRASHED!

*throws PS3 out window*
dont worry, it should be considerably faster the second time through, although it could still take ages... happened to me too!

I appreciate that PD is updating GT6 constantly, I really do.
But I don't like how it's done, especially the huge data sizes, double time installation process and presenting us well working features we knew from GT5 already (how long did it take to implement stuff like copy/paste tuning sheets, set tuning parts back to standard, setting up your lobby more easy etc?).
And now we finally see the electric power of hybrids in HUD - great, was there in GT5 as well.
However, for the huge patch sizes everytime my guess is, they're using uncompressed AVI videos (just kidding) to stress test our patience.
Best thing for me right now is that Bathurst hotfix, we'll see if it's playable now online (after 7 months, of course).

Well, I'm currently downloading it again...

Time left: NINE HOURS... JUST FOR DOWNLOADING IT!

(I would post a lot of 🤬 emoticons, but then it just would fill half of the forum page...)

25 Ish minutes to download the update, now it's 14 minutes left on the install to HDD.... i love fast internet.

9 hours... Ouch!
And I thought my poor 6.5 mbps internet connection was slow...

Anyway, 2.1 Gb just for 2 cars and useless features like callipers painting or racing number patches?!?
I wonder what size the final data will be when we (I should say "If we") get all the VGT cars.

Couple more from me, gonna actually play the game now lol. Sorry for the flood of posts, I think I'm a bit over enthused :scared:

OK, so just under an hour to get from the initial 'Update 1.10' black screen to the Update Details screen in-game.

To echo the thoughts of others... hell of a long time for some colourful brake calipers and a cpl new cars...

EDIT: Happy that Mount Panorama is now not giving any glitchy feedback when I'm in a lobby. My PS3 has crashed a few times as a result of being in Bathurst lobbies.

I've got a problem. My game crashes when I try to change wheels on my Plymouth AAR Cuda after I set the number for it. :nervous:

I saw this problem noted for another user but for another car... seems like it could potentially be a widespread issue. Let's hope PD notice it and hotfix it asap.

There was some question about the hybrid function on the Nissan VGT

Charge & drain functions are indicated by an addition to the fuel gauge.

Red arrow pointed left during drain

Green arrow pointed right during charge.

It does drain even when fuel/tire wear is turned off.

I tested at Daytona tri-oval, stock no oil change.

Ran 4 full laps with hybrid boost
Hit the limiter @214mph in the front straight before turn 1, best lap 43.197
Empty on lap 5
Lap 6, 44.935, 205mph in the same spot.

Seems to be working fine but regeneration is pretty quick under braking/coast.

2.1GB? That smells to me like there's other stuff in this update. PS3 was on auto download this morning, will check it out when I'm home.

@Amac500 Why can't you just take the cars to photo travel, take a picture, copy it to the XMB, copy it to your computer, and just post that here?

I can confirm the hard freeze when trying to change wheels ... has nothing to do with number as it happened on my midget and it has no numbet ... tried to change wheels but nothing appeared to choose from and the ps3 did a hard freeze no feedback from controller anymore
Most likely has to do with the brake caliper color option

Yep thats me.

Brake calipers painted on the Ferrari 458, then wanted to change the rims and nothing works anymore.

Just happened to me on my Audi R8, hadn't applied any new numbers or paints.

Patch installed, went to wheels, selected a different wheel and game froze.

Edit: Console has froze. Can't exit game. Must power down PS3

This update sounds promising! It's nothing mind blowing, but I like how PD are making minor changes to the game... and adding more Vision GT cars of course. I bet by the time GT6 has finished, it would have changed so much, thanks to these minor additions.

Because we know that cars can have them, there is no need to spam up the thread by posting 6-7 of them at a time.

Chaps, there seems to be a ninja update.

No size given, but download was only 3 mins, although I'm on a fairly speedy line, so might be a bit longer for some.

Hope this fixes the above issues...

Edit: In the Notification tab it says the hotfix is for fixing an issue where the game becomes 'unstable' under 'certain' circumstances when selecting Mount Panorama. Wonder if it's also fixed the caliper/wheel freeze, or not....

I'm having this crazy problem.

I'm unable to change the rims of my R34, as my PS3 will then just freeze. This didn't happen once, nor twice, but three times!

I don't know if it's affecting other cars, but I would rather have rims that will change than have colored calipers.
