Update imminent?

Their track record is an indication? You obviously didn't play GT5P or remember Seasonals, OCD, and remote racing all being added to the game post release. I would say PD have a very good track record of releasing content, especially free content, after release. Just my opinion though.
You missed out Chrome line cars given away. 20 million credit car for basicly doing nothing

and the Free GT-R

.

But yep still going to be a long wait for a patch.
( SNEA did not want to release patches while PSN was Down.. Developers Hassled them to force the patches out.
Bioware had to hassle SNEA to get ME2 patches released, SNEE just did it instantly it passed QA.
Virtual PSN LAN networks are used to test online features they don't need PSN up to test Online features ether. )

Ok, I'm not the one for getting peoples hopes up but I've tried entering the seasonals twice in the last 5 minutes and both times it said something about problems connecting to the GT server and shot me back to the main menu... It's never done that before

Edit: it just sent me back again and told me a connection to the server could not be established... I hope this is a good sign

Edit 2: Ok, seems like it's back to normal. Sorry to get your hopes up :guilty:

hahaha it's too bad. Would have been a nice surprise. This update has to come before E3. I'm saying that out of desperation, now. No logic behind it.

Id like to see something implamented for bad drivers.I would have collision points that record onto your online account.Every time your hit other drivers you get collision points, every clean race you have you lose them. You would then be able to set the amount of points people are allowed for your online lobby. This would separate the bad drivers from the good and allow for more enjoyable online racing.

GENIUS! GENIUS! GENIUS!

It's smart, but will never happen, unfortunately. If something similar like that comes, we're making great progress.

Brilliant.
Now time for letter to PD.

I would like a good penalty system or safety rating but it may make things worse.
What happens when other people drive into you? We've already had a broken penalty system that punishes the person getting hit and I don't want to see those penalties become semi permanent

It's a very nice idea for penalties pal! Brilliant thought. And easy to get done by PD. But I don't think we'll see it in GT5. GT6 maybe...

👍👍👍

Just gimme enduro saves and get rid of the shaking cockpit and I'll be happy enough.

Because driving a Zonda R is as smooth as a Mercedes, right?

If you're hooked into a HANS device, then you'll still have small head movements. Sheesh. Do people ever stop with this idiotic nitpicking? 👎

Thank God I'm not the only one. The shaking is there, for the most part, because all cars shake on the road at one point in their life. Our eyes do adjust to a certain extent, but not enough to make it seem like a Mercedes in Dubai. But, I'm in the minority that doesn't feel nauseous from it, ever. So, it only seems right to add some kind of sensitivity to it and a simple on/off.

800 standard cars converted to premium and more tracks!? 💡

Ya, I guess that would be kinda cool...

Cough up $100...

And an extra 100GB of BRD space.

Never. Gonna. Happen.
This is more than likely just a patch to fix the Nurburgring breakout glitches that have sprouted up again, or fix some sound bugs and maybe the AI. No adding new cars, no new tracks, there is always the chance of some standards being premium-ized, but I doubt that would be free.

However, it's been quite some time since we've had an update, so there's always a chance it's something big, though there's not much to add to the game that they can add for free.

It's the fact that there hasn't been ANY major updates for over 3 months now suggests that it's a big one-uh comin'. The last major update was Feb 17-24. They were released close enough to each other to combine them and call it a major update.

And about the 100gb of space. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it won't be.

I'd imagine that the content of this update, if it's anything big, will be announced at E3 and then realesed right after...

I'm thinking previous GT tracks, anyone?

Easily my favorite.

Both of these predictions are likely to be true.

I completely see PD waiting until E3, since the Store isn't back up and probably won't be until then. All because the update's contents are too big of an announcement to not make at E3.

I just don't hope it's not too big.
Because the download time takes so long and I have to wait to play GT5. :dopey:

I'm torn, the bigger the better. Right?

hahaha selfish. I really won't care if it took an hour to download and install the update. It won't take days to download, but it has taken months to get it.

If anything the shaking cockpit should be increased but I am happy with it as is.

If the cockpit isn't shaking to a point where you can't see the road then you haven't found the limit that other people have and when you do you will understand what all the fuss is about !

I don't have a problem with that - it's very realistic!

A lot of people never drive over 100mph even on the road and don't have any idea what it's like even on the autobahn.

Take a stiffened car on the track and it's like someone drilling the back of your head while you drive!

Well kids, putting 2 and 2 together I figure an update is about on it's way out the door of PD.

The other day, GTPlanet had an article stating that Kaz said he was waiting on PSN to come back in Japan before putting out an update (of course they get preference :/ ).

Well this morning on Engadget, there was an article saying that PSN was to come back online for all of the Asian markets some time tomorrow.

What say you all? Good hunch? Haven't seen anything posted about it on the forum yet.

This kinda makes up for some conspiracy Theorie:
an online update for an "online" game waits for the network beeing on again for the update beeing able to be delivered.
WHOA.
Must be the first update i ever receive through the interwebznetz... xD

I m... speechless

As mentioned earlier, there's a reason. But it is foolish that we can't get it now from a gamer's/consumer's standpoint. We're in the dark about this stuff so we just have to wait.

Perhaps some of you people should buy a late model Corvette. The ride is quite nice.

How 'bout if I wish for a cockpit shake DIAL? Then those that enjoy the 'cockpit shake torture' can turn it up and those of us who want to turn it down can do that.

I'd also like an option to enable (and set up its amount) the camera shake in the bumper view too.

I would pay 10$ for option to have dedicated button (as for lights, wipers or handbrake - which I never use) to remove HUD in real-time during racing in this steps (press>press>press>press):

> full HUD ON
> upper (times and position) HUD on
> lower (dials and lights) HUD on
> HUD OFF

My plasma would also be extremely grateful.

Also, I would kiss someone if reverse would finally be optioned into shifting-sequence (...3-2-1-N-R) instead of being on dedicated button. But than again, I guess it is matter of tradition..

I guess some DLC would be nice.

Why do people feel that they are entitled to more content after they have purchased the game.

Fixes yes... but why free stuff.

I am happy with it.
