What constitutes as "property"? Vehicles?

Yes-- I'm pretty sure there is a $$ amount assigned to each vehicle. Blowing them up bumps this... not sure if anything else has a value assigned--parking meters maybe.

Anyway, thats how those of us with the most cars and helis blown up have such high values for that stat...

All vehicles have $$ amounts. This can be viewed on the PC versions of each GTA game. In the directory, you will find a handling.cfg file in the folder entitled "data". Open it with Notepad, then scroll down until you see a list of vehicles with a bunch of numbers to the right of them. Under "Z", you will find the monetary value of each car. I've attached the Vice City handling.cfg file below.

Each time you destroy one of these, I think the Property Destroyed statistic goes up, amongst other things I believe.

No, they left over some cars from GTA 3. Some cars are named under the names of other GTA 3 cars, too, when they aren't named that at all. Understand?
 
After I read the post twice- yes. I do. :lol: So the blista could really be the blista compact and the Kuruma would be the voodoo type of thing??

[edit]And does sniping seagulls appear if you haven't sniped any? Or is it a stat that remains dorment until you actually snipe one?
 
6 second cone crazy mission (moving cones glitch), 192 drug deals, and 526 "ice cream" sold. I'm on my way to being VC's Drug Kingpin!

No, Rockstar just got lazy and left some old vehicles in the cars database. So even though the Kuruma isn't actually in Vice City, they didn't bother to remove it from the handling and stats files on the disc.

Wow...now that's the epitome of lazy. I'll get some screenshots tomorrow, I was too busy hunting for my remaining 3% completion status. I'm now at 99%. Grrrrr.

I'm assuming you did complete paramedic and got the 2% from it.

The most frequently missed thing is the shooting range-- score of 45 or better...
 
45 or better? As in 45% or 45 points? I think I've gotten like 38 before. It considers 30 a pass though, so do you have to surpass that and get a 45? I always thought I'd done it already. meh.

[edit]Yep, I checked the link. Great list, but as you know most of it had already been checked off for me. I completed the downtown chopper checkpoint (I've done it before but i must have not saved or something) and the ambulance missions. Tommy runs slower now, but at least he can go forever. I kind of liked it when he was super fast but for a short time. Anyway, I'll get a screenshot- but this is what happened today while putting a tank into my garage that already had 2 cars in it, and this is after it froze for 10 mins. I've never had a frozen game resume, but thesae are some screens I took of it.

[edit]I got the Ice Cream sold, cone crazy, and drug deals screenshots too now.

Yep, you need a score of 45 (and it is very hard). This will give you fast reload and is needed for 100%-- if you are at 99% now, this is what is holding you up from 100%.

The best way to get 45 on this is to shoot out the bodies of the first 2 targets (ones closest to you)--then concentrate on the back one, it gives you 3 points every time you clear it... if you get short on time and you have 42 or more, shoot out the first two heads to get your last 3 points.

I gotta go to bed now, will update the record book in the morning.

I'm at 100% now, I have been for about 5 hours. I got a 46 at 92% hit rate. w00t! But it says my high score for shooter is 76...

Thats the score when you did the gun ranges for Phil (the Malibu mission)-- all 3 of them. The rifle range the 2nd time is not in your stats--- one reason why its missed by so many people--also its just hard.

For 100% you get this:

lol thank you, and i tried the killing method at the mansion- VERY good stuff. And I've discovered why cops may not show up- there has to be 3 police boats in the water at any given time for maximum cop spawning. hope that helped.
 
Ok- the shooter score really does apply. I was originally at 32, then 38, then 42, then 46, then 60, then 76, then 80, then 88, and now 95, and it has gone up every time after 76. So, now that I'm at 95, I believe that puts me in second to Famine's 100. And I raised my property destroyed by about $10 Mill to $61,000,000.00ish. And I also raised my daily police spending to about $80K.

Are you saying your score keeps going up in your stats for "the shooter" after 100% or you have a save and you went back and did it....I didn't think it was supposed to rise by repeating the gun range?????

I think since most people dont get any higher than what they do at Phils is because there are so many different targets, that they just naturally get a higher score on it. I think it counts as the same record...
 
Thanks, I originally did it to make quick money ($200, $400, $800, $1600, $3200, $6400, $12800, $25600, $51200, $104800, $209600 etc) and raise my CR. I think I started out at something like 17 seconds, and just started doing it a bit faster each time. It started getting harder around 9 seconds-ish.

And thats about the only race/time trail I have the patience to try and beat- there are so many variables to consider in the Sunshine Autos races. I always just got a tank, blew em up, took my sweet time, and won. lol. eventually i started doing the VC circuit or something (the one where you go all over VC) to get an easy $30,000.

...and you can be sure ill be selling more "ice cream"!!

The number who play regularly is going to drop in about 2 weeks.

I haven't played any GTA in over 2 months :scared: :grumpy: my kids keep me busy lately and if not them, its my wife.

If you are a bike stunter you will be disappointed in SA-- you can't get the really high spins in that game.
 
Hey-- it has just been brought to my attention that # of drug deals made is not the ones done the first try of "Distribution" but the most done in one sitting-- I verified this and its true. I updated the note for this for that stat

(note: This stat is for the most done in one sitting > 50... you also have to sucessfully exit the truck-- you can't die or get busted when in the truck. Your stats won't update until you exit.)

I decided to give Alloy wheels of steel a few tries---

I shaved 3 seconds off my best time 1:11 from 1:14... but am still second to KM.... I don't know how he got a 1:06 :nervous: I ran it pretty clean...

They're pretty strict about their rules - all records must be recorded on tape and sent to them. They used to have more records posted, but I think they remove them after a while.
