Sorry... just noticed this post-- give me some time to update the book--- time crunch at my house (as usual)--- we just moved to boot...

Hope you put everything in order...

Just noticed though that your hotring lap time is 14.00-- the game cuts this off and rounds down-- to check the time, start a new race and it will be displayed before the new race starts-- I doubt you have a 14.00 second lap time.

How did you achieve 5 flips??

Ditto on rotation-- was that a superjump?

I did that flips with a taxi boost, same as height. For that rotation I used same method as Southern Finest (bus bump). And that hotring - I don't remember how I got it - but i'm not modder. If you doubt about it, don't count it as a record.

The hotring thing is not that I don't believe you, it is a glitch in the stats page-- it will round down every time to the next lowest second-- you could have a time as high as 14.99 seconds-- go back to that save and start the hotring race-- your ACTUAL best time will be displayed prior to the race starting-- while it is possible that your time is 14.00-- I don't believe that it is that low-- I believe I wrote a note telling everyone to do this in the body of the record book-- so we get an accurate accounting of this stat.

If it is the best I would like you to post a screenie of the time when it is displayed when the race starts-- do you know how to do this?? Use your print screen button on your keyboard or use Fraps to get a screen capture.

I will list "taxi boost" next to those stats for the jumps-- those are believable with the boost (I've seen vids with big boost stats)-- although I have never mastered the boost method.

Also, I started going through your stats and alot are great-- however some aren't even in the top 5 in the book.... it will take me quite a while to go through all the stats and check them against the book.

I need you to do this-- please go through the book and if your stats are in the top 5, then copy them to a new post, do this in the order of the book, not the order of your stats-- only copy the stats that qualify for the book.

It is a very tedious process for me to go up and down through the book to see if each of your stats qualifies for the book-- I only care about your record stats-- if you don't have that many "record stats" then I don't mind as much to scroll up and down the book, but I still need you to edit out all the extraneous stats-- 10 stat categories-- are about my limit for scrolling up and down searching

If you have a #1 record, then I need a screenie-- alternately you can send me your save file so I can check it-- I would like to see it anyway as I recently aquired the PC version

I can't do it very well-- its more of a control issue on PS2 then anything I believe-- the PC stunters seem to be better at it...

The key is to use your 100 passenger boost when you are off the ground but at an angle to a building... not sure what causes it... it is sort of a super jump..

The "best" is subjective IMO--- I've seen alot-- that one was pretty good but not the "best" I've seen-- the "you tube quality" may have thrown me off-- the music was kind of boring-- certainly quality stunts though.

One of my favorite vids is the first real stunt video I saw-- mainly because of the editing the guy did-- he timed almost every stunt to the music percussion--- watch this one and pay attention to it and the music-- it was originally posted in 2004-- I reposted it mainly because it was my favorite-- not necessarily the best-- it just blew me a way when I saw it-- one guy did all the stunts and editing-- he set the bar very high when he made it

We can, but since we don't have the directories and folders linked to from what you gave us, we won't be able to see it. I could give you a link to C:\Documents and Settings\Matt.. etc, but you wouldn't be able to see anything because you don't have C:\Documents and Settings\Matt on your computer. Understand?

Imageshack is easy. Click the "Browse" button to browse through your files and find the image you want to upload and paste here. There's a couple of other settings, but basically, just click the upload button.

There should be a "Links for Forums" things there somewhere. Copy that, and paste it here. Nice and easy. :)
 
No need to copy the entire recordbook---

the paste you guys used doesn't have the image/clip links nor the formatting...

Just try and post in the order the book is laid out if you have ALOT of stats to post.

I'm still avoiding spoilers for VCS ;) -- I'm almost done... I'm very pissed I can't find the last few rampages.

Yep I know about IV being delayed-- my TakeTwo Interactive stock plunged on the news (lost about 40%)....

I'll have to get to the record book some other time... time crunch again.

I don't know how I got the 74-- it is in my stats though??? Why I put glitch of fluke jump--- I kind of wanted to redo that stat category as I don't think most of the stats in that category were actual-- just height glitches somehow.

Accuracy-- there is a glitch in the game with the minigun on the HUnter and Sea Sparrow-- it fires but does not raise your shots fired-- but anything you hit will count as bullets that hit-- even a blown up car.... so park a hunter in front of a car and blow it up and keep firing at it--- as a bonus, your Criminal Rating will rise 5 points for every 1% of accuracy... my 416,000% gave me a criminal rating in that save of over 2,000,000--- however it is not a save I could use-- since any shots I fired would make the CR plummet (I had less then 500 shots fired) and it still took about 35 hours to get my accuracy that high-- I taped the button down.. see my posts in this page from about 4 years ago.... For media attention... look at the links in my sig.... my killing method #2 will get you over 6,000 pretty quick-- the media attention raises slower and slower the higher it gets though. FYI-- I tried my method #2 on the PC version and it works the same on that one too... I can't fly the hunter good enough on PC to try out my #1 method.

I suck at the Hotring-- no comment.

I'll get to your records when I get a chance... I can't promise how soon it will be though... I'm very busy at the moment-- I just move and am trying to get my old house ready to sell.

spuds............i have noticed that you haven't included my "test track" record nor my daily police spending record and i would very much appreciate it if they were included . If it isn't a bother to you , i would also like t request for my name to be clled just flick but , if this is a problem then i am satisfied with my name given but other than that thankyou for udating me into your record books , it has been a long "dream" of mine to be included in your illustrious records book , i am proud i have acomplished this :)...

i have also broken a few other race records but iam not going to post them yet as i am nearing another record , im currently on 96% with a playing time of 16 hours and 33 minutes(how on earth did famine do it in under 12 hours , ill never know) so im on course to be in the top 5 quickest 100% completion time (but i hate those b*****d rampages and unique jumps , they always set me back)

anyhow, if what you said about the hunter and sea sparrow glitch how on earth did famine get accuracy of 1,000,000% with one shot fired(yes if you didnt already notice im so envious of famine he holds so many classic records)?? :O

also , i was wondering how on earth some people can achieve such amazing dirt ring times , my best dirt ring time is just under 7 minutes but ives seen some dirt ring times under 3 minutes , any tips ?? o and for the street races i tried sooooo hard t get good times in the hotring racer but t no avail, so thn i tried starting again and tried with the super angel , still cudnt get within 10 seconds of your times , is ther any tips to get decent times with the super angels , like not using the handbrake on turns n just slowing down:s

When you copy links from imageshack, copy the "Thumbnail for forums (1)" link... you are copying the thumbnail for websites--- copy the one right below it instead.

Dirtring took alot of practice..

And famine did that by collecting packages, not playing the game-- same as me.... only my game I'd messed around a bit so had a few hundred shots fired... also in my game I was using this glitch to raise my CR... the CR will not rise until you have 100 shots fired (5 points per 1 % of accuracy)-- I did try this on another save with only about 20 shots fired... you have to be careful because shots fired near you count as shots fired by you.

I only used the Superangel on Alloy... --KM is the only one I know who exploited it with other races-- I briefly held the record on Alloy till I told him about it...

I'm not sure how those orders got messed up for weapons budget??

And for the pcj playground video, i used the same technique virtually apart from the end bit , i didn't drive up the alley to gain more speed, i just floored it when i came around the corner so , i believe i can achieve a greater time on pcj plaground than my 55 seconds ...

but once again thanks for the advice spuds and thanks 4 uploading my records.

yes jimmy , you do still hold the equal record for the rc car race , but i havee also got the record too :P lol....

agreed , vice city is the best thing that has happened to the ps2 , everytime a new game comes along i always get dragged back to the legend that is vice city ...legendary game ...

i was doing 'the driver' missions and noticed the glitch so, what i want to know is which time do you count when doing the driver , the time you achieve during the race or the time in stats????and wpuld it be quiker to use the original sentinel or a hotring racer or something??

also , when doing a vigilante mission with the rhino , is there a certain place where to begin the missions so that the criminals spawn in the airport because, i tried about 10 tyms yesterday getting to levels of 40 + and still the criminlas were spawning here there and everywhere , any ideas ??
 
It should lock in at one location after level 12 with the 3rd car spawning elsewhere some time...

I do have a link in my sig on how to get them to spawn at the airport-- it is not full proof but does increase your odds.... you need to do it in the hunter but after it locks in you can switch to a rhino (but why would you ;) )

The methods I use were the result of my #1 killing method which is done in the hunter while on vigilante (as your wanted level rises slower and you do it with 5 stars)-- I started vigilante ALOT--- and have done at least 15,000 levels of vigilante total (nearly all in the hunter).
