I think we should get a couple of guys (who can make videos and drift well) to make a technique drift video showing all the known(and possible) drift techniques in gt3 like an instrctional vid but with alll the techniques.

LOL, I was actually thinking the same thing, but how? I mean, I could do it for certian techniques, but others would require some creativity. But hey, you give me 3 days. I'll give you at least 2 techniques. But you'll have to come out with some vids to.:p

Semper Fidelis
Shadow Drifter

P.S. I call dibs on Power Oversteer, Choku-Dori and E-Braking. HA! I win. j/k Ryen

You'll need a camera to shoot the pedals and another one for the screen or a capture card....and maybe a third one for the steering and shifter!!! Check the Best Motoring Drift Bible for some ideas. :)

Not for GT3 drifting. All the info that you need can be put on screen, like the wheel, gas and brake, and tachomter. There is no clutch, so showing the pedals wouldn't make a lot of sense. Anyway, the Drift Bible is a great vid, but filming it the same way is a little counterproductive, seeing as all of it can be put on screen in the game. I do think this is a good idea, and I have a few suggestions about who should be brought in for it, because the people doing the tutorial have to be accomplished drifters. That being said, I think we should PM Pergatory (smooth), Cudaman, and maybe Thio could arange everything IMO. Any other, realistic, ideas and opinions? ;)

Maybe but some people are visual, showing a little BS steering on the screen going left and right does'nt mean **** for them, they need to see the true steering in real time to catch the true meaning. I agree that a pedal shot is maybe over the limit for a GT3 drift video. But the idea to film the steering movement and incorporating it to the in game footage is really easy to do. Alot of work none the less for a game about to be replaced by a great sequel.

Nah, I'm with SilviaDrfiter. And plus, its just going to make them us your style and not develop their own, which they should do.

I just think that it would be more fun to have a camera on each item (wheel, petals, screen) and also have commentary as the person is drifting to explain how each drift is accomplished. But, that's just my opinion.:)

well, I am guessing that I am an "accomplished drifter" along with Pergatory and maybe Cudaman. I have compered my videos along with other people's videos and it seems that I am smoother than most. if I can get in on this, I guess I will cover the braking drift and the feint drift. I really never use the e-brake or powerover or any of that other stuff. I rely on weight transfer of the car. so if I have time I will make a video of me on a random track. peace.

p.s. sorry if this post sounded egotistical, it really wasn't meant to be that way.

Right on Xzift:tup: . I agree that if a video was done like this it would have to be done using only basic drifting techniques, leaving your personal style behind.;)

Yes, I agree that you are a good drifter. I am looking forward to battling you when I get my vid card. I would love to cover power over, feint, and braking drift, if I had my vid card, but I don't so I'm gonna sit this one out. I will, however, give my input, and try to help out as much as possible.;)

yea good idea at first, but then it has problems. I guess we could make a vid showing the different styles of drifting, and put it in the drifting fag sticky :)

Your going to have a full plate, when me and battle get our capture cards.;)

I will? ooo, scared, lol. j/k I am somewhat unsure about the battle between me and battle. he might be the 1st person to beat me. peace.

I haven't gotten that PM yet, silviadrifter ;) Just kidding :D

I probably can do this arranging thing if this plan is going to go ahead. Do you guys want me to?

no. I need to deal with my challenges one at a time. so I will do my challenge for lazieboi, then battle_stage or silviadrifter. whoever can record videos 1st will be the 1st person I will battle and then the next. peace.

Gee, I could battle you then, LMAO:lol:
But I'm no match for you. Anyway, I've got the first drift vid wrapped up and I just need to put it on my computer, I should be able to upload it on Monday. It's the "Power Oversteer" video. I told you I called power oversteer so no one get mad at me:p
The video is set up like this. A camcorder records me(with my wheel and pedals) performing the move infront of a full screen shot of the game, like this:
----------
H

H
----------

As rough as it may be, you get the general idea. The top H is the camera shot on the steering wheel and the bottom H is the shot on the pedals. The screen plays 3 scenes,
1: A live "as it happens" demonstration of the drift. With voice commentary as the drift is happening.
2: A replay, still with the pedals playing out the drift technique. Still with commentary.
3: A replay with no pedals and no commentary.

Then it shows the technique that was covered and it cuts to black and the movie is over.
That's it, it's simple, getting two camcorders was the hard part. It took an hour to record and I've already knocked Power Oversteer out of the way.
I'll leave the advanced techniques to the good drifters like Drift260Z and Thio.;)
