Or because the actual Pepsi drink is black with a blue can/bottle.

Yeah, but pepsi has always gone white with their backgrounds usually, or blue, Thus to distract from coke who always goes with red or black, I guess we shall find out this weekend,

Far much easier on the eyes it has to be said,

I was like this guy looking at it at Clipsal,

Wow, American's really do need the biggest of everything, extremely surprised at the size difference between a NASCAR and V8SC,

NASCAR has made the cars much bigger recently. 4 inches wider and 2 inches taller then those 10 or so years ago if I remember correctly. To make them safer

I'm pretty sure the HRT cars will go good this weekend.

Yep, in a couple hours time we'll get to see some more speed. As it stands after P1, by comparison to the Dunlop Series times, Tim Slade(15th) 58.6370 is just ahead of Stoner(13th) 58.6497. But, Maro Engel(10th)did the quickest of the AMGs behind Rick Kelly(9th).

I'm just so hyped to see more racing.

IRWIN's Holdsworth heads to Perth with engine upgrade

IRWIN Racing's Lee Holdsworth will have an engine upgrade for this weekend's Chill Perth 360 at Barbagallo Raceway in Western Australia.
Holdsworth's Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 V8 Supercar from Erebus Motorsport, will feature a new induction system with a move from the two throttle butterflies to eight. Another change is the move away from an electronic 'fly-by-wire' to cable controlled throttle.
The change, spear-headed by HWA in Germany, is aimed at improving driveability and performance which is will be crucial at the WA track.
Holdsworth has completed every one of the nine races contested this year and the engine upgrade is hoped to put Holdsworth closer to the top-10 as the team continues to develop the all-new AMG E63 V8 Supercar package.
This weekend's racing will feature three races across the weekend, including the split 60/60 format on the Saturday, which includes the short half-time period and double-file rolling re-start.

Dry practice. All looks well.

Engel had a sticking throttle all day but, says it looks promising for Saturday.

The Fords sure are quick in the DUNLOP SERIES.

P4 and Mostert ain't doin' half bad. Will be kinda awkward if he beats FPR. 40 minutes and counting!

HOW ABOUT THAT! ENGEL GRABS 9TH!

Was hoping that traffic would hold up Whincup, guess not. Frosty messed up and let him go out in front! :ouch:

That's alright. Frosty gets excellent starts. So we'll see how they go.

Geez! I was waiting for Pye's car to flip. That was ridiculous.

Damn, that was another scary incident for him. :scared:

Not the best result...

What's with the FPR cars and tire punctures lately? :odd:

And I'm going to try and get a better computer after the Texas trip. Damn thing won't even play streaming video smoothly. I had to click the "info" icon and shrink the video size way down just to get it to play without skipping. Piece of crap.

Great result for Premat - although unless it's McLaughlin getting the top 10's for Fujitsu, the 7 commentators done seem to care :indiff:.

Awesome result and good pace. All by himself :) but, Murphy had a chat to him after the race. He'll def be top ten all year as he learns more.

I dunno, that luck thing and FPR does whatever it wants to do. Frosty doubted and it cost him 2nd. Whincup said he left the door open. Still good pace and I believe they are the two fastest cars out there. Just need more luck to get the 1,2 finishes.

I was reading some people were having problems with the V8 feed as well. Hope it gets sorted for those who paid that money.

Erebus showed they can run. Now, just need better qualy. It was funny, Ross Stone said nothing wrong with Maro's car. He's just getting served a lesson. Will be good tomorrow. Oh, and what can I say about NISMO. BEST HANDLING cars out there.

Garth needs to close the door and keep it shut. He's getting punted all over the place. It would be good if they can sort the cars for tomorrow.

I don't think it was issues with the stream, my computer just sucks. If I minimized the video player to a smaller size it would play better. Going to try and take care of it soon. Might miss tomorrow's race or just deal with it for now, then Texas in two weeks I'll be there live and in person. After that I may try to snag a used setup for cheap that works better.

Channel 7 measured that Pye was airborne for 45m during his off yesterday .

Ugh. HRT 16th & 23rd for Race 12. :indiff:

Yeah I'm a bit surprised.

45m. Scott"Mr Toad's Wild Ride"Pye.

Sometimes, I just don't know what Frosty is waiting for. He's surely faster than Whincup this weekend.

Courtney had a good result. I hope Murphy or Larko talk to Erebus to find out what's going on with their race pace. On to race 12.

NICE! TCM race coming up as well!

NISMO are definitely on the pace. EREBUS need to find speed but, it wasnt a total loss as Holdsworth held on at the end. If Frosty is good, Will is bad and vice versa. We'll find out whats going on at HRT. Foreign ground for all the cars at COTA. Can't wait!

Great recovery by Tander, 23rd to 9th. Also shout out to Moffat on another solid Top Ten result for Nissan. 👍

COTA's going to be interesting to watch. Looking forward to it.

NISMO are definitely on the pace.

Well the Norton cars anyway. Not sure why they are running good and the Kelly's can't seem to run the same...

And this year is a repeat of last year it seems, just swap the FPR wins with DJR. Tired of those Red Bull cars already.

I guess I'm not as frustrated as some fans because, I'm looking more at the Altima and E63. Actually watching the cars going round keeps me interested. Bouncing off curbs, looking at how much negative camber the cars have, the bumps on the circuit making the wheels go up into the fenders. I'm glad just to see that.

Yeah, FPR need to smash RB every race. Only strategy is to pit when Whincup pits. That's it!

I guess with the Kelly cars not performing like the Norton cars, is like Engel's car not being as reliable(?) or of the same mould(?) as Holdworth's car. Could be as simple as which driver/engineer combo is better at setting up the car.

HRT made a good comeback. Tander is fast but, all the time, when he leaves a bit of daylight for the car behind, he gets punted. I'm not predicting anything for COTA. Just good hard racing and everyone wanting to make history of being the first driver to get that Austin 400 top step.

And this year is a repeat of last year it seems, just swap the FPR wins with BJR.

Fixed. :)
HRT made a good comeback.

The HRT cars have pretty good pace. But they really need to improve they qualifying performances, it's a bit to contend when both drivers are starting well outside of the top ten.

I have a dumb question about the upcoming race in Texas.

Will there be live audio over the radio or scanner? I'm debating to pack a scanner or not or pick up a cheap AM/FM to use with headphones to keep up with on track racing.
