soooo, I guess if it had paddle shifts, a central driving position and fins, it might make more sense as a sedan touring car.

I know the FIA(Super GT/DTM) are going to 4-cylinders soon but, the technologies that are in the E63 road car were used in the Erebus cars at the start of the season. And those technologies will be used by all teams very soon.

BMWs sell pretty well. There is certainly a place for them on the grid. If they bought or teamed with Tekno, having SVG is a good thing.

Apparently they forgot the phrase "win on Sunday, sell on Monday".

Looks like Erebus has found some good speed! Glad to see them running very strong.

I hope they qualify well tomorrow and stay out of trouble the first half. The soft tyres will be good for the weekend. I haven't checked out the weather forecast though.

yeah, I hate when manufacturers look for excuses to NOT jump on board.

I was watching last years race, this track is weird as car as it's kind of little but seems like a very fun track.

He's definitely grown. He's smart, fast and only getting better. Imagine if RB got Slade and Will for a 4 car assault. I think where Ingall finishes at Bathurst(even though I'm sure Slade is quicker than Ingall) will determine if that REC goes to Walkinshaw.

Was this reported on the front page? Should probably do that. I'll post in the GT Academy thread too.

Edit: And...

I sent it to Jordan, and he said he's messaged Famine to put it up so it should be up soon. :)

At least they are saying how it is than making excuses

But, I didn't agree that he was talking about the M3. The M5/5series would make sense.

What say you crew about this? http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/new-player-on-v8-supercars-grid

Would be nice if this leads to a V8 Supercar. Chrysler missed the boat when they had the 300C leading the grid. I hope the fans and Skaife can make a plea to get them on the grid for 2015.

An E63 on pole tonight would be fantastic. Or an FPR Falcon works too. :p

Edit: laaaaaameeee.

Well I wasn't too surprised by BMW, they remind me a lot of Jaguar when it comes to attitude displayed by the company chairs.

Someone clue me in on why lame?

R1600Turbo
Whincup on pole = lame.

Well poop, so much for that. I really have a hard time hating anything RedBull related because they spend their money on best teams normally but sucks they are like that! I'm not a Whincup fan at all as he seems pretty cocky toward things.

Edit: laaaaaameeee.

Ditto.

And Tander starting 19th. :indiff: At least Courtney looks to be on the pace this weekend.

Really wish I could watch these races on a machine that will play them without pausing and skipping. Really starting to piss me off.

Good thing I didn't buy the stream.

Device problems, not stream problems. I'm using a netbook or a tablet, and I dont think either can handle it.

Why didn't Lowndes receive a drive through penalty for his 🤬 stupid lap 1 dive bomb on Winterbottom, that ruined Coulthard's race? :boggled:

Nice recovery by Tander to finish 8th, though. And McLaughlin continues to impress, hard to believe he's a rookie.

it's definitely tough when everyone is pretty much running the same lap times. good job to move up the field and for Scotty to hold on.

Great run by Moffat. 👍

I was happy about that. it's a short track and I completely forgot about the handling of the Nissans.

If FPR qualify well tomorrow they could possibly run away. And if Nissan can qualify in the top 12, with the pit stops, I see a repeat performance.

Engel recovered well, so I know the cars are quick. two more races tomorrow. Oh yeah... And, the 60/60 did save Engel's race, however, I really dislike the format now.

Don't know about run away. But if Winterbottom can qualify on the front row, I think he'll be very hard to beat.

Edit: Two place grid penalty expected for Lowndes.

And Courtney looks set to remain at HRT.

umm, what about deducting points like they do at every round? I agree with you that he should have gotten a drive through.

I really hope HRT can give these guys a car that keeps them in the top 3 every race. It's still early development days and we'll see come Bathurst where all the teams stand. This just leaves Tim Slade as anyone's guess to where he goes. Erebus have no shortage of money and they are checking off their to do list. I'm not too confident that's enough at this stage.

What about Mostert? He looked racy. will be interesting to see what offers are put on his table.

Laaame x2.

Race 1 today will be more of the same.

Damn, Ford on top for race 24. 👍

Great pace from Mostert, he'll surely find his way into one of the big teams next year if he keeps that up.
