CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????!!!!!

Did they all just say that the Nissans now have a special blend of fuel different to everyone else's because they couldn't get the same performance levels as everyone else?:odd: Nek minute! Nissans are winning the race!

Yes different fuel, but its supposed to help with fuel mileage, doesn't help performance.

Plus they're the best handling since the AGP.

I like how Whincup keeps saying Nissan have good aero. They ALL have good aero as per the rules of COTF.

These tight circuits really need more asphalt corner runoff FIA style and on the sides of the track.

Whincup stop whining!

👍

Great run by Tony D'alberto so far. And really pleased to see the Norton Altima's 1 & 2. Here's hoping they can finish it off. 👍

I'm waiting to see what happens with Tander and Ingall :nervous:

I don't buy that at all, Nissan have gone from top 20 to 1-2 race leaders over night. They should be on the same fuel as everyone no matter what.

Winton's their test track though, fuel or no fuel, I think they would have been strong there anyway. But I do see your point.

And I almost jinxed D'alberto.

Witnessing history! Nice
But, we don't know which NISSANs and E63 have the test fuel

Didn't they all have the fuel?

Anyway, awesome for Nissan. Great to see. 👍 And nice result for Courtney too, finishing 5th.

Nissan 1-2 the same car lucas drove a 2 week ago

I have to be honest, I didn't think that Nissan or Erabus would win a race this season... Guess I was proved wrong. Big congrats to the buzzin hornets!

The Mercs had it too and where were they? Its always been known the Altimas were great handlers, and on a small track like this they were bound to do well.

Way to go to Nissan. :D All of the hard work has paid off over the last year for the Kelly brothers and Nismo. I think the Kellys do run all four cars for Nismo of Australia right guys? Anyway, great job to James Moffat and Michael Caruso for bringing the Nissans home P1 and P2.

Actually now that I read the article (probably should have done that earlier ) It says both Norton Altima's and Engel's Merc were the only ones running the fuel mixture. As I said though, they were going to be strong there anyway and really it's only to even up the fuel consumption between the cars, so I don't think it would have made that much of a difference on a tiny track like Winton.

Unfortunately now though you have people crying and calling them cheaters on facebook.

Not at all surprising. Probably the same people who abused the Kelly brothers when they first announced that they were switching to Nissan.

Yes, just funny. When Moffat finished 5th at the AGP in the wet, no one said anything. When rick Kelly finished 5th, no one said anything. Some folk are scared of change. I mean its not like they're running AWD :p or are they? Mwhahahahaha

And another thing, Slade could have won a race last round. What would people have said then? Can't wait for Erebus to take one.

Reckon it will sooner rather than later 👍. As you said Slade should have won at Ipswich last round, had he not run off. Because he clearly had the fastest car.

Isn't Winton the test track for like half the field regardless? It's also where FPR test for example. Mercedes have been making steady improvement, the two Nissans running the test fuel have just quantam leapt their own team mates. It's hard to imagine how you can improve economy without improving power, but even if it was just an economy improvement, why are these cars given any special exceptions? If it's a test for the whole field, they could have tested it on the whole field and they would have gotten the data regardless.
If Nissan wants to win races, they should do it on the same terms as everyone else, not be given special exceptions. Mercedes had a strong showing at QR doing just that, for that they earn respect.

Anyway, life goes on, no need to blow it out of proportion.

And Slade was still the quickest of the 3 before he bogged. Engel did good in the race and almost got by Mostert.

I hope Nissan take the next two races just so Whincup doesn't get maximum points.

Like you're doing? I don't see the issue to be honest.

Official V8s just announced ALL cars will run E85 tomorrow. There won't be a difference in performance. We'll see that at Sandown.

Glad to see Nissan collect a win BUT I wish it was with one JD cars honestly, I guess since they are the ones who put the whole deal together.

Now to all the fans who are complaining about the fuel blend, where they even that much faster (Nissan/Merc) to make a difference in power they care claiming? I really haven't kept up with this fuel debate or how much difference the mileage was nor do I really care but it was fairly clear that something needed to be done. Holden/Ford both have had years of testing to gain the speed, so why not allow something to help them be upfront?

Now this might be a long post because I am venting a little bit.

Holden/Ford would cry foul on that but if they were in the same situation would be all up in arms over lack of power (not that Nissan or Merc are making improvements but we know they lack the flat out speed the others have). I don't know the exactly numbers either on engine specs and the thing is just hog wash over a fuel blend anyway.

Do I think Nissan's would have been the show stopper this weekend regardless of fuel, pretty much as they had their cars dialed in and looks like few teams weren't so happy or the purist didn't like it.

Anyways back to the program, would love to see Nissan go back to back to shut up some folks!

I just want the cars in the game. I soooo want to fire up my PS3 and take those V8s around Mount Panorama.

I believe I need to get a PS4 or whatever it's called, I'm so over Xbox in general (I have owned 5 since 2005).
