Thanks! I'm kinda bummed with no 1/64 considering prices. I'm more of a fan of that scale over anything else.

Apparently Classic Carlectables will be releasing 1.64's but they will feature plastic blacked out windows and no interior detail. Which is better than nothing, I suppose.

So everything but Nissan.

Edit: Deadline looms for davison and FPR.

Will Davison is still waiting for word on his future at Ford Performance Racing, and may look as far afield as the USA for alternative 2014 options.
The 30-year-old has flourished at FPR since switching from the Holden Racing Team three seasons ago and is currently shaping as a major contender for the 2013 title.
Despite the success, Davison’s future with the squad beyond his current three-year contract remains uncertain as negotiations over funding continue between FPR and Ford.
Speedcafe.com understands that FPR’s option on Davison expires at the end of August, after which point the former Bathurst winner will be turned loose into the driver market if an attractive offer has not been made.
FPR has clearly been hesitant to commit to Davison prior to striking a deal with Ford, but may be forced to move first in order to secure the star driver.
Davison’s situation is complicated by the evolving puzzle at FPR that includes uncertainty over the 2014 destinations of David Reynolds, Chaz Mostert and Will’s brother Alex Davison.

When pressed further on any future overseas aspirations, Davison revealed that following Marcos Ambrose’s move into NASCAR would be at the top of his list.
“There’s some sportscar stuff that I’d love to do on a part-time basis in Europe, but realistically as a career I’d be looking in America at the NASCAR side of things,” he said.
“It (NASCAR) would be a big commitment and a tough thing to make happen, but I think it’s the most interesting one for me.
“Clearly though my first preference is V8 Supercars and FPR,” he added.

Since its all about money, where are the big sponsors like in NASCAR? No one could try to get Coles, Woolies, IGA, AUSTRALIAN POST, M&M's, TELSTRA, TARGET, DAVID JONES? Heck, even V8 Supercars itself should have a Holden and Ford on the grid. It would be a shame he has to go somewhere else.

The sport is losing exposure. As long as Channel 7 don't take it seriously (and why would you with the superior revenue that the AFL provides), the sport is going to suffer.
The new cars sparked some interest but between coverage and the FPR/T8 domination, it's not as big as it once was.

I don't know if it's truely losing exposure or just headed down a different path. I've seen it grow more state side in last couple years which I think has alot to do with Ambrose and Owen Kelly coming over.

So I'm curious if Ford backs out, what do you think will end up happening to those guys? Granted it's not a huge amount of teams but there will be a hit.

If RBRA add 2 more cars, I don't know who is first on their radar but, having Will Davison would be lethal in their arsenal. Maybe DJR go with E63s( I have no idea) if Ford does a no-show. Mostert drives along side Johnson. Skaife mentioned another manufacturer is looking into the series and may make an announcement at the end of this year(Chrysler?).

Ford need to just do 2 cars with FPR. Keep Frosty and Will. Sorry to cut Reynolds and A. Davison, they have their own RECs to try and join other teams.

I'd love to see Will Davison in Nascar. If only for the reason I don't want to see him in a Triple 8 car.

I know alot of people dislike Triple 8 but overall they don't bother as much considering they do alot for sport. It's hard not to like Lowndes anyway but Whincup isn't someone I care for (he reminds me of Jimmie Johnson with the boring I shoudl win every weekend attitude).

Let's say SVG moves over to a Triple 8 race team, I wonder if it would be a RedBull based team or just another car run out of their stable? If it's RBR then pretty much have to pull for them.

Well I don't follow Jaime just because I don't like him in general, never got a comfortable vibe (he left the auto session way early at TExas while Lowndes stayed late but FPR was similar to Whincup which rubbed me wrong). My comparison was just how much he runs upfront and has attitude he is expected to win, Jimmie has similar attitude but isn't as bad to fans (Stewart might be better comparison).

Yea $45 is a little much for me but if it was last one I was after I would. I am in no rush to get them anyway.


Honestly the more I follow the sport and watch developments, the more I think NASCAR needs to take huge look at their package. I said it today that V8SC have almost identical package as NASCAR does for top 3 series, and they need to try to use the basis of how V8's are built and look I think would help a ton. Sorry I'm in a moment that V8s are hands down best series around for anyone, call me jaded or superfan but I could rave for days about them!

V8 Supercars has responded by allowing the Nissan and Mercedes cars to run with less ethanol in their fuel blend at Winton; a change that is claimed will improve the consumption without altering outright performance.

I know it was only friday practice. But I was a little surprised not to see Erebus not further up the front, would have thought that the cooler conditions would have favoured them. Still nice result for Moffat and Nissan.

My heart didn't jump. I read Erebus' website and Ryan said they didn't get enough track time. 2 flying laps. The red flags didn't help. Lots of big names were down the order but, NISSAN have the handling no matter what conditions as they've proven. As much as I want Erebus to draw first blood, I'm happy for Nissan to get their first win this weekend.
