Mine got progressively worse until I turned the wi-fi off and then back on, now its fine no skipping at all fingers crossed. :nervous:

Mercs running good!

Murph put it pretty correctly in that interview, people are driving way over the limit at times.

Holdsworth as fast as Whincup but, I'll wait til the last car crosses the chequered flag.

I'll admit the #1 stepped up. FPR did themselves in. 20laps to go. Ingall is doing good.

Can't believe Courtney and Murph are 5th, their car looks like it's been in a demolition derby.
Ingall is doing good.

Thought Briscoe did a really good job in his stint. Kept it nice and clean for Ingall. 👍

Done. Bye bye 300pts. Why this guy, man?

Yeah, Murph was pushing hard early on. It's their first big race. Nerves and all. Good recovery for HRT.

Welcome to the Red Bull 500. :indiff:

Honestly, I saw this coming after the first or second safety period when Dumbrell pulled out a 10 second lead in a handful of laps. Hopefully FPR and some others can step their game up for Bathurst.

Don't know to be happy for Erebus or disappointed for Will.

Looking good for Bathurst.

Which I thought they were done too for the day, but I'm stoked to see them rally back!

Briscoe did great, there were a few guys who surprised me.

Slightly disappointed that Holdsworth couldn't get on the podium, still congrats to them on a great result. 👍 And the car doesn't look very pretty but a great recovery by Courtney & Murph to finish 5th.

Im going to have to figure something out before Bathurst as reseting my wi-fi and refreshing the internet browser at least once an hour is really pissing me off. I have not been able to watch a whole race this season without issue, and I'm getting extremely fed up. Result of the race isn't helping either.

Any word if Fox are hosting Bathurst for the US?

Real shame the other team didn't fuel Slade's car. 👎 How could that happen? I'm sure Betty will post something on FB.

It's really anyone's race. Mistakes are costly and a minute set up change, as we, hurts or helps the car.

I don't have cable so doesn't matter.

Miscommunication, I'd imagine. Part of the problem of sharing a pit with another team. Where was Slade when that happened, 5th? Really stuffed up what could have been an amazing result for Erebus.

Man, if they make gains next race, maybe Slade made a hasty decision to leave. We'll see how things play out.

The only thing if Fox did host it, maybe someone would stream it state side with a better connection BUT I had some issues during the race. The quality was much better on my Ipod, yet every once in awhile it would stop playing for few minutes then restart (not sure how often but a few times I know of).

I can see why it's annoying but better than nothing I take it too. Sometimes I just listened to the audio in the background when the stream was choppy.

Probably same deal that FPR had with the 5, which you would think by now they would have some ideas of not to stack if there was a choice or the faster car wouldn't get screwed even if it paid off for them in the long run. Bathurst won't be as big an issue though.

They were surprising somewhat this race even more than just how fast they showed in practice, it's nice to see them become a stronger team in general.

Honestly even with the results being show, I think his move was a better move because he is getting faster now so he needs a team that can produce those results for him each race instead of slowly get better or with some mistakes. Neither move was a bad one overall, but I do think he might have jumped ship too before really giving them the chance to work out any bugs they have had.

All-in-all, it was a good race. GRM got both their cars in the top ten. Disaster for FPR but, they mad the top ten as well. Lots of dicing. Sure, RBRA won but, everyone finding their legs before Bathurst showed some weaknesses.

Silly season hinges on Ford drivers.
Will Davison has emerged as the key to the silly season and 2014 V8 Supercar movements, having yet to commit to Ford Performance Racing beyond this season.

With Ford Australia and Ford Performance Racing set to announce an agreement to continue in partnership in 2014, albeit at a reduced level of funding, all eyes are on whether Davison and Chaz Mostert will re-sign with the factory Ford outfit for next season.

Adding to the question marks over Davison is the fallout from the Wilson Security Sandown 500, where he was unhappy at having his entry double-stacked in pitlane behind the Falcon of his teammates on a different strategy.

Davison described it as a "a very unfortunate set of circumstances" with team boss Tim Edwards reportedly "disappointed" to hear of Davison's remarks to the media regarding the incident post-race.

Teammate Mark Winterbottom has a further year on his contract with the team, while David Reynolds has re-signed with the Rod Nash Racing entry run by the factory Ford team till the end of 2015.
There remain question marks over the future of the Charlie Schwerkolt Racing entry run out of Ford Performance Racing, which also clouds the future of driver Alex Davison and potentially whether Mostert will remain loaned out at customer team Dick Johnson Racing or be recruited into the factory setup.
Racing Entitlement Contract (RECs) movements are likely to shape the rest of the grid with uncertainty over the number of entries teams will run next season.

Paul Morris is being linked with a return to team ownership in partnership with Triple Eight, with RECs currently being used at Tekno Autosports and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport.

That Tim Edwards doesn't know how to win.

If RBRA do 4 cars next year, i think Will is gone.

Will would be smart to jump ship, no offense to FPR but they are dragging their feet right now and you can't bank on that. He is really strong, I would like him over there but not sure who I would like in a 4th car though outside of SVG (who might or might not be interested).

Slade to the Supercheap Auto car for 2014.

Correct me if I am wrong BUT didn't Slade already have ties to them in the past?

Alot of folks think Percat should have gotten the seat but from all reports he isn't a reliable talent behind the wheel to bring a car home in one piece either. I like him but better as co-driver roll in general.

Back on the car #47 pit drama, mis-communication is pretty right. Slade's car came into they bay for a fuel and tyre stop and the car #21 pit crew didn't show up.
With the shared pit, the deal was that the Slade #47 crew would do tyres and the Wall #21 crew would do fuel. With the #21 crew not realising that they were meant to go do fuel, it didn't count as a mandatory fuel stop.
They brought the #47 back in the lap later to get fuel effectively adding an extra stop of time and wasting the whole race for them. A shame considering it would have been two Erebus E63's in the top 5.

Slade going to Walkinshaw is good for him. Hopefully he can get up there in the car. As for Erebus, they need to be very clever with who they choose for next year. Maybe someone with some experience that can help develop the car more. Holdsworth will probably be the lead driver next year, Engel still learning (if he is staying?), so someone who knows how to steer and develop would be a good call.

Are Erebus looking to go 4 car team next year or the year after?

On another topic, the Tekno cars had a mediocore weekend, maybe due the co-drivers?
Not sure about Bleekemolen and Lieb yet. I like bringing the interationals over but were there people more deserving of the drive?
SVG is doing the same he was in SBR so no suprizes there and Jono Webb is still just Jono Webb.

LDM need a lead driver. They could be just as successful as someone like Tekno (at least) but they need someone that leads. Scott Pye, fine, good to breed young talent but that means Dean Fiore is the experienced 'lead' driver and I just don't see him as good enough to hold that role. Steve Owen would have been a more suitable choice, even if he isn't hugely better.

DJR's combo is growing on me. Using the FPR link to grab Mostert for a year (sort of) was a good call, even though it was a bit harsh on Reid.

I think its time for D'Alberto can see if he can cut for real. He needs to get in a decent team car and see if its worth hanging around because being a single car team isn't working and never will. I like the Walkinshaw tie-in but he is always the 4th-wheel in that crew.

Premet is getting better, but really needs to do something next year, or even this year, to warrant him keeping the seat. McLauglin seems to have him covered much like Caruso did last year. Maybe it's time for a new Dunlop series driver, or even a Swede ;)

Nissan Motorsport seem to have there driver line-up pretty well done. I'm not a huge fan of the Kelly's but when they have a decent car underneath them, they can drive pretty well. Moffat and Caruso have almost taken the lead role at that team, which would be a bit worrying for Rick and Todd.

BJR are finally getting their stuff together, with Coulthard getting better by the year and Bright clinging to whats left of his career. But the third car almost seems to be a waste of space. Unless their doing it just for financial reasons they need to either find a new driver or go to a 2-car power team.

Triple 8 are what they are. Whincup and Lowndes get the job done. It would be nice to see a fresh face ther though.

FPR is an interesting one. They have speed. They have good drivers. Yet they can't put them together for whole year. Winterbottom seem to be the modern day nearly man and Will doesn't seem happy there. Though he wasn't happy at HRT before then either. Reynolds just needs to get some consistency and maybe some more support from his team? Alex has never excited me. Why he is back, I don't know.

Walkinshaw just need to keep going the way they are going and they will be up there soon. Courtney seems to be getting a bit better and Tander is still doing well. Ingall, doesn't matter as he's going but Slade will be good for them. Might force the other guys into a spot where they go fast or get demoted :P

Sorry about that, I just needed to say stuff I've been thinking about all year. Co-drivers are next :P

Yep, his rookie year in '09 driving for Paul Morris Motorsport.

Toll leaving HRT, wonder who will slide in? I'm sti bummed about their no 1/64 cars this year which I loved this livery the most.

Same here (About the 1:64's).

Be a bit different without Toll in picture. Maybe HRT will go back to the Red and White livery :D

Please some of these teams need to grab food sponsors or Panasonic or Giggle N Hoot. V8SC want to make it a family sport. All they have are Pixar Cars. I know V8s are beasts but, they're also family sport sedans. TGIFriday's, Pizza Hut. There are so many Domino's here. Even Hungry Jack's. If V8s want to promote healthy living start courting Coles and Woolies, Jenny Craig, Men's Health magazine.

V8SC should seriously look at adding a two car V8SC sponsored Team. They could change the livery each round for which ever sponsor wants to advertise that weekend. Drivers could be pulled from the top 2 DVS drivers at that time. It gives them seat team and for teams to look at how they cope in the main game. Not to mention its a bonus for said drivers in between rounds, instead of waiting 6weeks for their next race.

They do that if you remember the American round but its just the company forking out the money. It ain't cheap.

For sure. RB and Pepsi have the money to keep going but, there's not one "fun" car on the grid.

Something more like the '00 or '01 livery's would be cool.
