Im just waiting on pics of that Volvo

Just finished watching the race to see that Winterbottom managed to collide with a Red Bull... again  (lost count this season)

Oh well Karma got Winterbottom back :D

3 Nissans in the top 10 is an awesome result for them,

It really is. And I'm looking forward to seeing how the Nissan's perform next year, with further engine development and a revised aero package. Reckon they are going to be up front more often than not. Though I still expect Triple 8 to win 15+ races and another championship. :indiff:
Guess it won't matter if I miss tomorrows race. I'll decide based on qualifying results.

Yep. Only going to keep an eye on qualifying to see how Percat does. Really encouraged be his speed yesterday. If Walkinshaw can provide him with a reasonable car next year, I can see him getting some solid results in and around the top ten.

Cool "Year by the Numbers" video non-Aussies would have missed out on:

That's a lot of tires!

I just hope someone else wins this weekend outside Whincup in the final round! SVG has a chance but I want some new folks to move up (which I think we will see it since it's last race of the year).

I just hope someone else wins this weekend outside Whincup in the final round!

That seems unlikely.

Edit: Spoke too soon, looks like SVG has this.

Here's hoping that Ingall can score a top ten finish in his last full time drive.

Reynolds missed his opportunity to pass Whincup for 3rd. Oh well, on to next year. Show us those Volvos!

Well, that was a really good race. Congrats to Van Gisbergen on the win, and Whincup on the title. I may not like him, but he was the best driver all year. Good job by BJR to get Bright on the podium as well.

Thats a really cheap trophy for going through 36 races. They need to REWARD the Champions

Agreed.
But that is another year down. Time to unveil the Volvo, sort out the REC and get some good drivers behind the wheel.
Hopefully next year brings an all out fight with all different makes getting wins and in the hunt.

Back to this year. Ingall top 10 was good, along with 5 of the 6 Fords getting a top 10. It was a good weekend of racing, mostly. Shame TD got taken out in the first turn, hopefully he gets a drive next year. Hope Erebus can lift themselves up their next year even more though.

Luff dropped from Red Bull co-drive.
Craig Lowndes will have a new co-driver for the 2014 Pirtek Enduro Cup, with Red Bull electing against retaining Warren Luff.

Lowndes and Luff have driven together in each of the last two endurance campaigns, winning the 2012 Sandown 500, the opening leg of the 2013 Gold Coast 600 and this year’s Pirtek Enduro Cup.

Luff confirmed his impending exit via social media, with his replacement currently unclear.

“Now that the season has fully wrapped up, I want make the announcement that I won’t be partnering with Craig Lowndes next year for the endurance rounds,” he wrote.

“Triple 8 racing have made the decision to look to the future and make longer term plans.

“I have had a great time at Triple 8 over the past two season’s having shared in 5 podium finishes with two wins.”

With Dumbrell not returning either, my guess is Skaife and Ingall (depending on what his plans are) will be Triple 8's co drivers next year.

I think Skaife has been out of the seat too long now. While he might still be good, why risk it when you have people like Luff available. Ingall is still looking for something to drive so that might be on, but his form comes and goes so I don't know if he's worth the risk either.

I'll just leave this here. Only image I can find at the moment. Link.

Looks good, not sure about the wing though. Looks a little too Holden.

Yeah, I'm in two minds about the wing too. Apparently everyone will be running that next year. Everything else about it looks fantastic though.

Any chance of a report on how you went @Mad94d?

That Volvo looks good!

Everyone is meant to be running an endplate mounted wing, yes, but they will probably look a little bit more unique from other angles. Much like the three running it this year. I guess, there is only so much you can do differently with that wing style without compromizing the aero efficiancy of it.

None the less, that looks pretty neat, just need some official words/studio shots of it now.

That S60 is going to make other drivers jealous. I rather that wing than the Erebus version. It looks like a cardboard design on the E63's. So flimsy on a car with a reputation of being carved out of granite.

As a Craig Lowndes fan don't like it. At the same time it's better than Ingall

That's a big blow for FPR. Especially if the speculation of Steve Owen moving to the #18 full time comes true. Leaves them having to find a whole new set of co-drivers for 2014.
I guess if you can't beat them, buy them for yourself, right?

You said it.

This might be the wrong place, but I think this is the only place, so these are my driver pairings for 2014.

Red bull: Whincup/Lowndes
FPR: Frosty/Mostert/Alex davison/Walsh
Erebus: Holdsworth/Davison/Jack le broq
BJR: Bright/Coulthard/Wall
HRT: Tander/Courtney/Percat/Slade
Tekno: SVG/Webb
LDM: Ingall/Fiore
DJR: Pye/Wood.
Independent: Fiore, and next year webb will join him with alex davison joining svg

Thought Erebus was only running two cars, what happened to renyolds and I thought Ingall retired??

Reynolds re-signed with FPR, no?

Sorry Davie!, getting to excited at the prospect of Walsh getting a drive, and ingall has talk surrounding him that he'll got to ldr and erebus is either running 2 or 4, just threw le broq in the there, Talk is saying he'll get a drive.

and erebus is either running 2 or 4,

Erebus is only running two cars that's already been comfirmed. Not sure about Le Broq, the last I heard he is going to be running in the Dunlop series next year. The #18 FPR is interesting though, apparently there's up to six drivers being considered for that seat.

Edit: Speaking of Triple 8 co-drivers. Paul Dumbrell will return for 2014. Link.
Paul Dumbrell will continue to drive with Jamie Whincup, though he had been in doubt for the 2014 season.
