I've scanned the thread and don't see anything that answers my question, specifically.

Is there a plan/confirmation on US TV broadcast? Used to be on Speed, I have done some digging/searching on my DVR, but still don't see anything. I have DirecTV.

Reason I ask is that I'm not really set up well for streaming, meaning that I don't have anything going to my TV. And I'm not entirely sure if the streaming service is not only live, but houses the replays of the races. Certainly, I cannot count on my schedule allowing me to watch all of these events live, esp. with the time zone difference.

Since I already pay for Satellite and a lot of premium channels, would prefer to be able to DVR the races and watch as my schedule allows.

It was less than $50 a year for us, or you can spend few bucks for each event weekend. It's actually not too bad.

Like I said, some people aren't even able to afford that and have other monetary priorities if that is so hard to believe then not sure what to tell you. If you can pay for a event every so often then I'd probably go that route and suggest it.

Keep a eye on this site http://tvracer.com/ for any listings and ch.618 Fox Sports 2.

Beko sponsorship for Will Davison for the first two events.
Erebus Motorsport has announced a two-race primary sponsorship deal with Beko Home Appliances for its Will Davison-driven #9 Mercedes.

Davison’s car had appeared at this month’s pre-season Sydney Motorsport Park test with major branding from watch firm Citizen.

The deal with Beko is for the Clipsal 500 Adelaide and Australian Grand Prix support races at Albert Park.

So, they've lost Citizen, then? Or are they moving that to Holdsworth's car?

I assume they'll return to Citizen branding for Davison after the two event deal with Beko is up. As for Holdworth, they are still looking for a permanent sponsor for his car. So for the time being it will continue running with West Mead Children's Hospital.

We're just giving you the best option, take it or leave it. Any others may be crap, not live, and/or non existent.

It's kind of a moot point until they decide to let us know what's going on with the streaming. It's not looking good that they haven't announced anything with less than a week until the first race.

We'll probably be left scrambling to find a stream, hopefully if they aren't doing their own stream they won't block others from doing so like they did last year.

That's great but don't keep reiterating if people don't have the funds at the moment like you guys then try to understand not make it sound so easy. That simple.

It might be last minute, but I'm confident they'll get it up.

Really, when they couldn't even get it working half the time last year? I'm far from confident, it almost seemed to be an afterthought last year: poor quality (360p in 2013, really?), and it kept crashing. (Especially for Bathurst, their biggest race of the year)

Edit: And @LMSCorvetteGT2 there are free streams out there, but you have to know where to look. Especially since last year they started to close down people who were streaming. Quality was pretty low last year though, when I could find one.

There were a few hiccups at the beginning of the year as they tried to sort out the service for the first time, maybe once or twice later as they had issue with local internet connections (internet in Australia isn't the best, I thought this was known) and after that it seemed to be flawless. But to me this was better than trying to find a stream at the last minute. And yes, HD is nice but nothing I currently own can stream HD so it doesn't bother me one bit.

I didn't have superview at the start of last year, but after they closed most of the free streams I had no choice if I wanted to keep watching. The quality and stability was no better than the streams I was using for free, not to mention I never got my confirmation email.

It's all very fine that you don't have anything that can stream HD, but many people do. With HD you can connect to your TV and watch it at a good size with decent image quality. With non-HD when connecting to a TV all you get is huge pixels. I'm sure there are people that would like to be able to do that.

ALMS streamed races in HD and they were free, so I was pretty disappointed to find out after paying for Superview that I couldn't watch in HD. If you're going to offer a service like that, why half-arse it?

I think it really comes down to the connection they are able to use, which as I said is probably crap most of the time. ALMS is in the USA and we have far better internet than Australia, so that gives them the ability to stream in HD. As far as charging for it, well not everything is free anymore (see: Imageshack threads) so rather than ask me about why they charge maybe you can contact them directly.

In the mean time, I'm happy to pay for an official streaming service from my favorite racing series as long as it supports them and keeps them on the tracks.

I have tried to contact them multiple times and have received no response. (Incidentally I just emailed them asking whether there would be coverage for this season, so I'll get back to you guys in the unlikely event of them actually replying). I get that internet in Australia may not be as good as North America, and I don't have a problem with paying for a good, reliable stream. What was provided however was not particularly good, and certainly not reliable.

Well it was the first time they offered such a service using their own website so I can cut them some slack for that. This year will be different, baring any "bad connection" issues.

I know it's been addressed but last year with the streaming options, you could watch practice, qualifying and races later if you wanted or missed something (even if you bought the stream later in the year too).

I know the feeling about not sure if you can watch it or not as sometimes I can depending on work.

While I understand your point fully, right now that was the best option we had. I didn't buy a full years worth at all, I bought the enduro option for like $15 bucks and later bought the last 2 events for $1 for one and $3-4 for the other. Granted I know that's not what everyone can do, but I don't make tons of money at all (1k a month with about 3/4 for most bills), but if you wanted to buy it you could with a few spare bucks each month.

Paul Morris to partner Chaz Mostert for enduro's.
V8 Supercars veteran Paul Morris will join Chaz Mostert in Ford Performance Racing’s Pirtek Enduro Cup line-up this year.

The 46-year-old finished sixth in last year’s Bathurst 1000 alongside Scott Pye at Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, where he also played commercial and race strategy roles.
It is expected that Morris will also assist FPR to acquire sponsorship and advise the team on race strategy throughout the season.

I know the past is the past but, one more look at the 2013 season

Hahaha. Umm lol. I love Chaz but can't stand Morris.

Yeah, not big on Morris myself. Though he did do a great job with Pye last year at Bathurst for LDM (IIRC they finished 7th?) Interesting pairing to for sure.

such a tease with those black wheels.

Love the Black wheels. Looks great. 👍

But this one is better than Percat's, which is just lazy.

Awful is the first word that came to my mind. Good thing he only has to run it for a few events, not a fan at all. For those who haven't seen it.
