I remember Pastor Maldonado got a penalty at Spa a few years ago for a perfect start, the logic being that he had to react before the lights went out to make the getaway. I saw the same thing here.

They showed a side-by-side of two shots: one on-board with Whincup, the other at the front of the grid looking at the lights. He moved a few frames after the lights went out, therefore not a jumpstart.

Compare that to the Maldonado incident you're referring to:



..Where he clearly moves before the lights go out.
 
Didn't notice that #15 Altima is up in 6th at the moment, nice speed by them so far.

360 in the tyres at turn 2, albeit briefly. Not sure what the Jeld-Wen car thought he was doing!
 
Didn't take long for Moffat's great start to go down hill. Give he car to someone else and watch it go down the drain.
 
No steering damage for the #360 Nissan thankfully.

PD/WHINCUP won't catch the S60 down the straight but, they need to keep that margin.

PD with an enormous slide off turn 2, then in the background a Volvo rubs the wall... heart skipped a few until I saw the "34" on the windscreen. Please don't do that to me, Robert!
 
Turn 2 track falling apart.
If this keeps deteriorating and becoming dangerous, a red flag and an early finish may be in line.
Also explains the track speed, soft surface.
