No Aaron Noonan. Thats just wrong. He could do it all by himself.

Replace Rust with Noonan and you've got something.

Wait, no Noonan at all? Not even on the support races? That sucks.

Love it, looks great.

Noonan has no skill at Narrating Dramatic Monologues, so of course he's been dropped.

.

I'll give Rusty credit during the AGP last year. He was genuinely excited while watching the races. Better him than Skaife. At least we won't hear, "Just fire it in there!" and "guy-rated".

Or incessant moaning over HRT's performances,

I do hope someone, hopefully Fox Sports, hires Mark Larkham. He is easily the best, if not one of the best, pit reporters in Australia, he knows what he's talking about and can be genuinely entertaining most of the time.

in all honesty, there are only 4 cars that i like the look of. BOC, HRT, Pepsi and the Nismo car. As a massive Mclaughlin fan, i can't help but feel dissapointed about the Volvo livery.
also, i cant help but feel that the FOXTEL deal has something to do with the lack of sponsors. 1 JD car, 1 NISMO car (for the season) 1 Ereubus Solar (albeit horribly placed). Its sad that a world class touring car category cant attract multiple sponsors.

Im happy the Volvo livery hasn't been changed.

I suspect it's more likely that the teams have deliberately taken a subdued approach to the test. VESA wanted to make an event out of it, but that would deprive the teams of sponsor events to announce new partnerships, so they may have gone for one-off deals to get a boost later.

Lexus mentioned they wanted to see how the championship works. Volvo watched and entered prepared. Nissan just picked the wrong team. MB took too long to make up their mind. Repsol coming in now, is perfect. XBOX will be on the DJRTP car and more sponsors lined up to display on the team through the year.

Speedcafe says they'll go on the rear quarter panels of Walsh's car (at least).
Also, Walsh is keeping Infants' Friend, so I don't think that the Erebus liveries will be Repsol-focused.

Repsol may be limited to one car,

Repsol may be limited to one car,
Possibly, but the Speedcafe article suggests Davison's primary backer will be Solar Australia and Walsh's will be Infants' Friend.

6+km circuit built to international standards, the proposed layout has a lot of various shaped corners, a long main straight and at least two circuit variations
So ... it's a map of Christopher Pyne's face, then?

EDIT: No, it's not. Probably a good thing.

I delivered that horrid publication last night, though knowing how newslimited like to inflate the truth I hardly thought it was worthy of posting, but more info on the article as requested,

The circuit is already there, its the former Mitsubishi proving ground,

Circuit length, 7.2KM (its longer then Bathurst)

A 100 room motel,

An "on the run" facility,

My opinion is that the only way this will get going in motion is if Adelaide abandoned the street circuit, which is a probability once the new regulations come into play, then that facility will take over,

The fella that owns the "on the run" chains is financing the whole project, and he certainly isn't short of money, he was already wealthy prior to migrating to Australia and through playing his cards right has only grown in wealth since arriving in Adelaide, so the proposal for the facility will most likely be followed through,

Its extremely flat out that way, I think it will be a fairly boring circuit,

@prisonermonkeys this is what's from that article that cant be read clearly with that picture,

And a post of V8 sleuth by Aaron Noonan,

A damn shame! I look forward to seeing him tomorrow and at the Muscle Car Masters in September.

I actually don't. He was good in Shannons legends but otherwise Mark Oastler was the bomb in that aspect of coverage,

I'm liking the FG X Falcons from FPR along with the Nismo liveried Altima and the non Solar Aus liveried Erebus.

For me last year the Volvo was the best looking car on the grid, if they keep a relatively similar livery it'll still be the best looking one.

Just started. All the cars look good!

Percats car is #222 with white and ghost graphics. He just left. I'll take a pic.

Yep. Definitely looks like dad painted the family car.

True indeed.

Down the front straight and from the pits. The S60 looks tiny and has the mellowest exhaust tone. The Falcon looks the longest and has a 70's sounding V8 at top speed. The Commodore looks bulky and has a basic V8 exhaust note. The Altima looks just right and is the loudest. The E63 looks the same size as the Falcon and sounds the same as the Altima now.

Surprised you agree with me there, since you're such a fan of Nissan and Nismo.

I think it looks fine. Maybe I'm not as picky. ;)

Interesting to hear the Merc sounds the same as the Altima now @05XR8 . Shame, because it was the Mercs best feature

No, I mean Caruso's car. It looks like something that I would expect to find parked in a driveway out past Blacktown. It's like someone painting the lion-and-helmet on the side of a Commodore. The livery might one day be called iconic, but the Altima is a family car first, and the factory livery doesn't suit it.
