You must have missed Shane move him out of the way in turn 3 AND turn 6.
No, but that doesn't excuse Mostert trying to punt him at the end. Both got what they deserved by losing 3rd to Lowndes.

Edit: And Chaz says he didn't see Van Gisbergen and cut across in front (at the start). Didn't blame Gizzy at all.

Gis just smashed him on that corner entry but hey, as Mozzie said rubbin' is racin'.

Well Chaz was clearly faster mid corner and if Shane didn't get off the corner good enough it would have been hard to stay off him.

But who cares right? Would you rather them all fall in line and play follow the leader the whole race or try to mix it up a little? That's what racing it about........

Neither driver had a problem with it, and it was great for the fans. I don't get why you guys are pissy about it.

Never mind, we seem to be in agreement. Rubbin's racing, so lets stop bitching and enjoy it.

Well when you make an accusation be prepared to have a counter argument. Chaz did rough him up a bit but that was pretty much payback for what Shane had done to him twice before.

Bump & Run is a part of this series, it's part of what makes it so entertaining. You can't punt someone off but you can get away with a small bump under brakes or on corner exit to unsettle the car ahead and try to get an overlap. On a fast track like this it's almost the only option if you want to pass, either that or wait until the car ahead makes a mistake.

Was good to see Heimgartner finally get a good start off the line, too bad he was way too cautious on the opening laps and got punished for it. How good was Lowndes on the outside of Giz for turn 1,2 and 3 to get the move done into turn 4. Best sprint race of the season so far I reckon.

Ill have all those Garry Rogers race cars. Thank You.

I'm easy, just let me have the two Group C Commodores and the 427 Monaro. You can have the rest. :D
Aannddd Fox Sports 5 is apparently 'nnot available'. The transmission just stopped. No images or sound.

Oh, is that what happened? I switched over to the Rugby League to see what was happening and when I went back and saw the blank screen I thought my foxtel box was playing up, so I turned it off and on again.

At my parents house watching the race. I haven't watched it on Foxtel before because I don't have it, loving the no ad breaks!

It's still very much part of it, the only difference is that if the race stewards see it and decide it was bad enough they might penalise you for it. In the mid pack and rear of the field there is some very aggressive racing with lots of rubbing and bumping, nobody cares because it's towards the back so they don't look at it unless someone ends up off the track or facing the wrong way.

Rubbing is racing, these aren't open wheelers. As long as nobody ends up off the track, gets badly damaged or wins a championship because of it I don't see any harm in it.

I'm surprised not much talk this weekend about the KL City demo next week.

Well, there goes Percat's race.

Frostys starts are what his championship has been built on.

A shame and after a solid result in the first race too.

Lowndes just has to commit to a divebomb to make the pass, he has the brakes for it.

Would only take Frosty out though, he was never going to be close enough.

Every race should have pitstops for tyres at the least. Change 2x tyres. This may be the last of these type of Sprint races but, open the pit after Lap1 and close it two Laps before the last.

Kind of ho-hum for a soft tire race.

Red Bull has really stepped up in terms of product placement this year.

Indeed. One of the rare occasions where the hard tyre race was more entertaining.

That may be so, but not when you get drivers like van Gisbergen and Tander who rely on it a little too much to call it fair.

Well neither Shane or Chaz were investigated after yesterdays racing so nobody had an issue with it.

I agree Tander does some stupid things, like drive into people on the straights and in general is way too aggressive.

Adrian Burgess is either kidding himself or he can't count - he just called Tander and Courtney two of the best drivers in the country. At the very least, they're behind Winterbottom, Mostert, McLaughlin, Lowndes and Whincup. And, depending on your opinion of them, Reynolds, Coulthard and van Gisbergen.

EDIT: Russell Ingall reckons Penske DJR is gearing up for a two-car assault in 2016.

The evidence he gives makes complete sense. You don't have that many cars just laying around, unless you want a 🤬 load of spares.

I just wonder, will they trial that second car at Bathurst this year as a Wildcard?

I think they'll stick with one entry for the time being. Wouldn't be surprised if they run Cameron Waters the way they did Mostert in 2013 alongside either Pye or Coulthard.

Live stream isn't working for me.

And their website is all buggy for me right now. If I sign in to my account and then return to the live stream page from anywhere else on the site, it says that I am logged into someone else's account. :odd:

Mostert on pole followed by Winterbottom and Lowndes. McLaughlin in 13th. Pye in 18th.

Shame for Pye but, .8 covers the whole field. It's not like anyone of the cars are slow. Thought Pye might have picked it up a bit. Moffat is doing better this weekend.

Winterbottom has confronted Jason Bright about baulking him (Winterbottom) for the second day in a row and is quite peeved about it.

I can't call this race. Will Davison may have a shot. Moster seems like he'll be down the order at the second pit stop. Coulthard is way dow but, may game positions. HRT may come on strong from the start. I just don't know. Guess I'll have to watch and see. :sly:
