Yeah, it could be possible. Heck, it looks a lot like the concept image.

I have seen this car in person @ H20I this year, almost definitely NOT the Vision GT car as this car has been around for 10-12 months



The Golf .:R Evo is a Lightweight model headed for production, nothing revolutionary about it. It will look nearly identical to the current MKVII Golf .:R

The combined weight-saving measures could see the Golf R Evo weigh around 220 pounds less than the regular Golf R, making it almost as light as the front-wheel-drive GTI but with a lot more power. The best part is that the Golf R Evo may even see a boost in output beyond the Golf R’s current 290-horsepower rating.

Possible but unlikely, the Vison Gran Turismo cars are called "Vision Gran Turismo" or in short "VGT" since the cars are designed by PD and produced by the manufacturers they would be on the GT Website as soon as they are announced.

Even though they have the same VW'ish look, you can see there's a lot of difference. That Golf GTI concept really just is a styled Golf, as you say.
