Well I've got the day off today so I have been testing some other cars at someone's suggestion (BMW is a bit on the heavy side) ... Two specific cars stand out for me so I will have a different car come last round of pre-season ... one of them is on the original car list and they are both within regs ... some fine tuning is needed but it would help if I knew where the last round is being held ... any hints? Lol

I'll guess Monza. More the less everyone voted for it, including myself if you read the post before the one I made about why going to Suzuka full isn't a bad idea

I am for Suzuka East unless we run less than 15 laps at Monza.

I can see why, Monza's obviously too long for 15 laps. I don't believe that Suzuka east has weather changeability, but Monza does. I had a quick go round, 2:03. double the time of Tsukuba. It will basically require half the laps rounded up. My guess:

8/9 laps for first 2 races
5 laps for last race

Does nurb gp/d or gp/f have weather. I never can remember which one is the shorter of the two. That might be a possibility.

i would rather do suzuka east, monza has too many long straights and with these cars it would be boring, suzuka has lots of corners and 1 long straight, so people can overtake with the slipsteam more easily then tsukuba we could, but the track is still challenging

Not sure if they have weather but GP/D is the shorter track. It should be around 1:31-1:32 in these cars. GP/F is the longer, and just guessing, but probably in the 2:10 range for the ITCC cars.

IMO the car that has the most strait line speed would win at Monza. It would favor the civic, fto, and focus. Suzuka east requires handling through the esses and the double apexers at both ends. Suzuka would be the most even for everyone.

Hmmmm, I guess we're not going to Indy then. If we went to Suzuka East, it would make a decent amount of sense to run about the same number of laps as Tsukuba; tire wear is horrible in those continual sweepers.

On the other hand, if we went to Suzuka full weather, we'd have to run 6 or 7 laps for the first two races, then 3 or 4 for Race 3.

It would also give us dedicated stop boxes.

So, we can choose between Monza (straights with chicanes) Suzuka East, (a straightaway with some turns) or Suzuka full (a long track, where it rains.)

Full track with rain. This is just a practice round anyway right? Id just like to know what the track settings would be so I could practice with them.

Monza full if we have to. I am a proponent of running the shortest track layouts possible.

If we're going by distance, it's a narrow Monza win (by 0.01 miles). Timewise, we could go for 1 lap shorter on Suzuka full, than Monza full in the first 2 races to balance it out

This is accurate. :) I recommend people consider tire wear.

Lol, why don't you guys do them all and make everyone happy!👍

Ummm, you have a point. So, next track is Suzuka full circuit. I'll be running the Suzuka full/Monza full in my weekday ITCC Endurance series.

(You don't have to join that series, because you're in this one. Points are separate. Also, you may join that series, and you may run any new car, or your current car.)

Speaking of that, though, check out my signature! In brackets, (parentheses) you'll see ITCC Endurance series. I recommend that everyone who is bored during the week sign up for that. It's pretty much the same series, but with different tracks, and different race lengths. (Each week will be about 200 km. or an our and a half.)

I signed up for the Audi A3 chassis, but I was wondering can I run the S3 chassis instead. I'm asking because I run the S3 chassis in my BTCC Series, and I have a lot hours in on that chassis? 👍

Thankz!

I just checked out the race schedule, and all I got to say is it's the bomb! Final some rev circuits. SSR5 would of been great in rev too, but whatever'

Hehe. :) I love the reverse tracks.

And, yes, you may run the S3.

Do Suzuka full. First race no rain = more data to balance the cars. Suzuka has two long straights and a good amount of turns. Monza is basically straight. Unless we wanted a demonsration of how fwd's will dominate.

Last two races can be with weather.

Okay. Thanks. :)

Four more drivers have registered. We now have 22 drivers. THEREFORE, I'm happy to announce, that we will need a second division! Also, before I figure this craziness out, I must ask anyone who can not make the races to please tell me. If you leave now, it's a simple process, and it helps us, as we have 14 drivers with perfect attendance records, but 22 drivers in the series; if those of you who aren't certain about the series could tell me now, I could organize this a little more easily.

Divisions will be divided by finishing positions; therefore, faster drivers will be division one, slower drivers division 2. All rules apply equally to Divisions 1 and 2. Also, both divisions are competing against each other. Division 1 and division 2 will receive the same points. (First with pole is 100 points etc.) Therefore, all 22 drivers, and all teams are eligible for the points championship, and all the scores across both divisions will be factored into the Manufacturer's Championship.

People such as Storm can be in Division 1, if they need to, because of the scheduling conflicts. Division 1 will be the same time 9:30 PM GMT-0, but Division 2 will start earlier, at 8:30 PM GMT-0.

Average finishing position and various other factors will decide the grouping of divisions. This ensures that sandbagging is NON-EXISTENT in this series. You can not run slow times in qualifying, in order to fake your speed, and then run full-speed in the Division races. Anyone who is deemed non-competitive (either too fast or too slow) will be moved into the different division.

Finally, I'll be creating two new PSN accounts for this series. These will be the official "hosts" of the series, and races will be held in their lounges.

ITCC_Division_1 is now up. Please, don't add it to your friends' list until you're put in a Division. You will not yet know, whether you'll be in Division 1 or Division 2.

ITCC_Division_2 is now up. Please, don't add it to your friends' list until you're put in a Division. You will not yet know, whether you'll be in Division 1 or Division 2.

I suppose I'll be in the slow division ... :scared:
This Division concept looks like a real winner. Congrats on the schedule MrM. It look fantastic. A lot half thought has been put into it.
This is the reason that my vote goes to Monza as the last round ... enjoy!:sly:

I so wish we could have 43 cars on a track at one time. Looks exciting!

However, it should be said that this Monza, in 1993, was completely different than it is now. Look at that first chicane.

Also, I have to balance the entire field. Certainly, I will compare your performance to everyone else's performance, but I will not directly say "YOU WILL BE IN DIVISION 2."

I have been testing two new cars yesterday so I need to test them out against the competition. They are both well within the regs ... but I don't want to let too much slip out yet ... Lol
Very "Top Secret" goings on happening off track ... :sly:
Will keep you posted!

What ever happened to the Team Banners?

Okay. The car list states that the final date for requests was June 15th, BUT, seeing as how your previous car isn't working out too well, I'll allow it.

Anyways, for those of you who didn't see the last page:

And the official lounges for both Divisions are up now. Once we arrange the drivers by Division, following the final preseason round at Suzuka Full, drivers will be asked to add one or the other. Following that, I will log in to the accounts, accept the friend requests, and the series will begin.

PLEASE NOTICE: Preseason round 5 will be run in MrMelancholy15's lounge. I'll add you all now.

So when is this race? Tomorrow (today)? @Suzuka? This should be to the RWD cars favor.

I don't know the 'usual' schedule. Why so many preseason races though? I'm ready to begin.

Well this weekend is the last one!

And it seems like I'm going to miss next weeks season opener... I'll be in the car....

So it is Suzuka Full for the final race? If there is weather on one of the races can we get the exact settings of the track concerning the weather and the tire compound so we can practice before the event?

Is there a pit stop required for the wet race? We won't need one for tire wear reasons but will one be required? Might give some thought to using a combination of intermediate tires and rain tires to bring some tire grip strategy into the race. The intermediates have good grip in the rain.

I believe that we need to change the points system for two divisions. If you give first place in the second division the same amount of points as in division 1 then the slower cars in division 1 get screwed out of an otherwise good points finish. I say keep the points system we have and use it for division 2. I think if you qualify high enough for division 1 then you should receive first place points in each race plus whatever you get in the three races. I.E. the points start counting at 33 for division 1 in each race. The points would start at zero like normal for division 2.
