Firstly, a map of Suzuka:
Please do proceed to tell me how there's no hairpin. In case you misinterpreted me, by first hairpin I meant first travel to the hairpin and I saw one of you guys in a green Civic fly by. Turns out it wasn't you, but diddy. Hence, why I asked which one it was.
Right JZR final race recap:
# Formation Lap:
- You spin at the start. Seriously, not on a corner, or even 50m travelled, you're spinning.
- Diddy proceeds to push you off the road, possibly to get you under control or make a point that you were meant to be at the back, I'm not sure.
- Out of Degner 2 Diddy goes off track. On a formation lap? Turns out nothing was learnt from the GVE race 3 formation lap.
# Racing Lap 1;
- Horrible start overall. The leader stepped on it when the grid started and not at the Suzuka Finish line (our arranged start). However, you get from 13th to 8th by turn one. The rules that had clearly been stated both in this thread and the driver meeting thread (that MrM put the links to twice yesterday), that there was to be no passing by turn one. Also, diddy was ahead of the guy in same grid pairing, when in theory he should be behind as I was slow to respond to the false start. He then overtakes another 2 by the first corner.
- End off turn 2, diddy pushes Lancer onto the grass. Again hadn't learnt a lesson from GVE (although the side swipe there was much worse). Your positions are now 5th & 6th.
- Between turns 6 & 7 diddy was making contact with you, and you ended up cutting grass. Your driving was fine, diddy however...
- At the end of the Dunlop you unnecessarily give Seth less than 1.2 cars width on track on the right hand side, when you're about to turn right. You probably would've overtaken him by staying on the racing line, but instead Seth cuts the corner enough to make the turn without spinning too much and stays on track.
- The hairpin, as previously mentioned: diddy went onto the grass resulting in him spinning, crashing into you and ending up in the gravel. Granted he may have been touched by Lancer, but again there wasn't any room given, so it's to be expected. You're pushed down to 6th whilst diddy plummets to 11th and doesn't get involved in any more incidents.
- Into Spoon we could say maybe you divebombed Lancer, but it was clean.
- Spoon up to and including the 130R: You had the pace on seth, you overtook him (again leaving less than 1.2 cars width), but then immediately went onto his line in a braking zone when you're not yet 5m ahead. Yes Seth hit you, but he's clearly slower than you, so he's clearly going to brake after you. Think M. Schumacher at Catalunya this year, you need to observe the different braking zone that your rival is going to take. You then use the run off at the 130R to keep ahead of Seth. Oh look, there's the run-off you wanted. Oh and the run-off was tarmac, so grip does what?
# Racing Lap 2;
- At the S bends you get past cnd fine, although he was slow. He later mentioned not wanting to be rammed. Into 2nd.
- 200R you dive down the inside of Sakery to overtake. By down the inside, I mean over the gravel where there's an extra unused chicane. All you needed to at the pace difference was to go round the outside.
- The chicane, you cut across the grass as Sakery gets the lead back. You didn't need to use the grass, and could've waited for an over and under. However, it's forgiveable as Sakery would've probably blocked your view.
# Racing Lap 3
- Pit straight into turn 1. Again, you had the pace on the straight to overtake the GT86 driver. But then you once again go in front of Sakery with little room in a braking zone. From here you lead and pull away from Sakery, so yeah clean race herein for you.
Now, as for probation:
GVE:
- More than enough for probation for diddy in race 2. Actually, more than enough for an immediate ban.
- More than enough for probation for you in race 3.
Tsukuba:
-
Jamie ran double soft stint in race 2, fine nothing to get hot under the collar about (unless you finished only 2 seconds behind him).
- Diddy used multiple blocking moves along one straight in race 3, which again wasn't learned from GVE.
-
Jamie divebombed more than once in race 3.
Hence, you were all on thin ice going into this race. Then you reached the land of the rising sun and decided to go sumo.
By the way, I'm not sure if you realised, but we are using some F1 rules. For example, not cutting a corner to gain / defend an advantage, or 1 blocking move per straight. Points made clear repetitively I believe.
As for the sprint races, we're in a championship which, in theory, you should not be able to win every race in. It's about gaining as many positions as possible. For example, someone could finish 5th every race and win the championship. You don't need to win every race.
