I didn't say EVERY ff was 1100kg. Most of them being ran are. The Focus wasn't alone, the Scirocco was 1169kg.

GT86 in my specs was 260hp 1120kg. Now people are using different specs? Which is it? Lower weight/power fits better with the other cars, just lacks top end. So I think a compromise is good. The FF's are 1100kg and less, but 276hp. IMO- we should try the GT86 @265hp, 1130kg.

The GT86 handles as well or better than the RX-8, RX-7 and the S2000 but carries less weight with slightly more power. Lacking a bit of top end in an FR is the price you pay for better tire wear and more consistent handling.

Oh yea. Clean for the most part also.

On another note: Could race 1 and 2 be twelve laps. Race 3 would be 4 laps. I cannot get the tire wear necessary even driving conservatively to last more than 12. Is anyone else having this problem, or am I just setting my car up wrong?

12 laps? I thought we were running 15 minute races...ie 8 laps or so?

We're running based on tire life. The races tomorrow will be around 10 laps. That should be within our target lap times for everything.

Everyone, please remember to read the second post of this thread.

I've kept it somewhat short and sweet. I still expect *absolutely* no divebombing. (Have your front wheels in front of the rear tires of the drivers you're passing, if you take the inside line, when braking begins.) Failure to abide by this rule will result in a grid position penalty for the first normal season round, probation, or your complete removal from the series. It applies to everyone. The difference between the three penalties, though, is based on your current standing in the series.

I want everyone to stick to their lines on the straights this time. People were swerving too much on the straights at Tsukuba. You're allowed to defend, but you're not allowed to block. Put the other person on a difficult line, it's okay. But, if you completely force the other driver to go off-track, or make two moves to block, and you'll receive one of the aforementioned penalties.

Finally, if you're caught using so much track, that the driver beside you is put off the track, (i.e. sideswiping a car that's already on the very edge of the circuit) you will receive one of the aforementioned penalties.

Also, remember that some drivers (though, for their privacy, and protection, I can't say until after this round) are on probation. Some of you have been informed, and some of you have not been informed. Anyone who causes a crash, or is reported by a peer as "aggressive" or "dirty" while on probation will be removed from the series.

I want to clean this up before Madrid. It's the last real chance I have, to clean up the passes, before we go to a tight, technical street circuit.

I'm not going to take people's pushing and shoving lightly. From now on, rubbing's racing, but anything worse is a ticket out of the series.

Ok phwew! 10 laps is a big sigh of relief. I was freaking out that I was going to make 2 pit stops. I ran a 2.12.837 earlier today.

Heheh, you're welcome. (Because, I did the WHOLE tire wear thing for you, NOT because I knew, from the beginning of the series, that FF tire wear would be a continual problem. :lol)

In other news: CHECK MY DRIVER'S MEETINGS THREAD!!!! CHECK THIS THREAD! CHECK THE SECOND POST!

In further news: ITCC Team of Stewards has been notified about the Division 1/2 selection process. I promise you, it will be a fair selection process. Also, anyone who would like a challenge may specifically state (here, in this thread) that they'd like to stay in Division 1. Just tell us, here. I'll allow anyone into Division 1, but no one may request to be put into Division 2. NO SANDBAGGING.

That's what I said in my post. Why are you reiterating it? The RX7 has a turbo, which provides a big boost, the Toyota doesn't. It just has consistent feel to it that I like. I'm not trying to give myself an advantage, so I'd appreciate you stop trying to infer that I am.

A couple of days ago Fuji Heavy Industries subdivision, Subaru, sent Jormo 3 brand new Impreza WRX STi's. This was part of a deal struck between Subaru and Jormo. Now officailly called "Jormo-Subaru"

This past week has been a hectic one for Jormo who has been frantically getting the vehicles prepared for tonight's racing action.
The testing has proven itself vital in getting the vehicles prepared. Jormo feel confident that these vehicles suit the ethics and very high standards set by the team.
NizmoDr3 said in an interview on Friday that he feels confident in the new vehicles.
"The car is awesome. We had a bit of a niggle with tyre wear issue but that is now behind us." NizmoDr3 was quoted.

Tyre wear issue does seem to be the highlight of this weekends race and it will be interesting to see how the drivers fair.

"We had offered a seat to a driver in the series, but that was declined due to provisional commitments." NizmoDr3 continued, "The third car is a present to the series creator, MrM, as a thank you for the opportunity given to Jormo-Subaru to participate in this series. We might get a once-off drive out of him this weekend."

Well it will be interesting to see how things pan out for the new Jormo-Subaru outfit. They could possibly be top contenders with the new car, but it's still pre-season so it is still wide open.

This weekend sees a host of new drivers in the series, so on track action should be plentiful.

... BEST POST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress how epic that post is. Heartwarming pride for running such a fun-hearted series. We really couldn't do this series without surprises like that. Thanks Nizmo. I *LOVED* that. ;)

Changing to an AWD car right before a rain race, interesting. :sly:

So all three races are 10 laps or just the first two? Can we get a clear indication before the race how long they are actually going to be?

And great job on your announcement post Niz...looks like a press release...lol.:sly:

@CND process had been going on since Tues ... lol

@JP thanks ...

I'm looking at the car list. Is the Lancer Evo 7 fair game?

@JP thanks ...

Good post though. It really does look like an official team press release. Hopefully the AWD will help you navigate the rain soaked Suzuka.

I'm looking at the car list. Is the Lancer Evo 7 fair game?

I believe so. I did try it at one point, I believe. Couldn't get the best out of it, but I have grown attached to my RX-7. Finally some 4WD cars. This field can only get more interesting.

Scooby is the best choice for me. The Beemer was giving me a hard time especially in the grass ... LOL

I've signed up, I may miss the first couple races due to conflicting times with another series.

Scoob and Evo ... this should be interesting ...

Welcome aboard Lancer:sly:

Yes the Scoob is great in the grass, almost as fast as when it's on the track..hopefully you won't be doing much offroading today Niz:crazy:

It will be mud bogging with the weather this round. At least for the first race.

Lol JP ... hopefully not much off roading for me ...

I did Full-Rain tests yesterday.
The Toyo isn´t that bad with 100% weather and Track.
2:32ish me think (or a low 2:33) didn´t test dry one because I race there frequently due to it´s perfect layout (beast track for setting up your Car).

That's about what I am running in the rain. Tire wear will still be a problem in the rain depending on how fast it dries out

I'm in the 2:29's in the full wet...unfortunately not in the car I'll be running with today...

We seeing some good times in the wet ...
