Wasn't anywhere near the size of a bomber, but it was an F2A right in the engine from my BT-7. Also had to wait for it to appear out of the sunlight, at which point I fired straight at it. I saved him the embarrassment of crashing his plane into a tank like a noob.

Yup, another good day. Silly Russians, turnfighting my spaded Cannonbusa.. :D

Indeed.. My Cannonbusa has been making me piles of money by turning hapless P51's and typhoons and such into fireballs..

(31 December)

Win five air battles, 50% activity

Win five tank battles, 50% activity

Finally.. a daily task that isn't ridiculously grindy.

I've never bothered with these daily tasks; is there some sort of reward for finishing them?

Not that I'll get around to playing today, just curious.

M8A1 tank for the tank tasks, I-301 for planes.

Daily task is a lottery system if you do complete one. Not 100% guaranteed to get either one unless you complete all the tasks.

I'm only attempting the ones that don't require me to go out of my way to do since I'm still fairly early in the game considering I barely have access to any tier 2 vehicles for any country.

Yay, I got the premium M2 tank for winning a battle in US ground vehicle with battle activity over 75%.. and replaced my useless B57 with it.

It's T1 premium tank, of course it's not good.. Only good thing about it is the bonuses.

I got my PS4 last year :p and I've been playing some War Thunder.

I'm really enjoying it, however I wish there was a tutorial for navigating the menus and actually understand what you're looking at/going through/ buying/ boosting.

Anything you specifically need help with understanding?

I understand researching and all that. I just need to grasp navigating the menus.

Also I need to learn to control the camera with the DS4. I've smacked the ground/clipped a tree way too many times because of it.

I've been doing some progression in the game. Mainly through ground targets, although I'm getting pretty good at evasive maneuvres and shooting down some Peashooters

Down on the d-pad + right stick is default setup for moving the camera around, and letting go of down brings the camera back to it's starting point. If your view goes out of whack, just cycle through the cameras with triangle. It's best if you don't use the touchpad for camera rotation. I found that out. There will be times where you will bump the touchpad and it will throw the camera off. You'll have to go into controls and change the mouse use to a different option.

I leave the touchpad for view with tanks because it's quicker to look around that way than it is to rotate the turret.

Yep that's my problem. The camera will go out of wack every now and then. Cycling through the cameras works.

So far though, loving this game.

Yeah, currently researching the P36C, so I'm using the 36A to speed up the research. Doesn't help that the last two times I've flown it, I've helped support bombers, and the first of those times the bomber I was escorting didn't even take the opportunity to get back to base like it needed to and instead stayed in the area, bringing 4 more enemies onto my tail.

I don't remember the early US tech tree that well, I gotta admit that, but if you guys can, I recommend picking up the Naval line ASAP.

Grumman's cats and the Corsairs are among the best planes at their respective battle ratings. The F6F is especially nasty.

I advanced the US tree through the Pearl Harbour event and that alone. Getting loads for shooting down AI B5Ns
